Jet Black Platinum

This is one of the most unforgivably sexy bottles I own. It's just full of pure LUST in the most young-adult manner possible. It's boozy, cozy, woody, very sweet, and spicy. But what makes this different from SWY and any other masculine gourmand frags is that this has a cinnamon woody twist, not vetiver or just plain Iso-E-Super, a beautifully balanced and slightly powdery, spicy, and very smooth cinnamon. The opening could be harsh, but the sweet cinnamon dry down is the magic. Other than all that, I loathe the longevity and sillage; it's about six to eight hours MAX on me. Which is a shame, but also understandable, as if it had more power than that, it would have made the warm spice's presence insufferable (plus the more you micrate it, the stronger it gets over time, mine has micrated for two years now). The price is meh, but the bottle is worth it. Edit: I Just realized the dry down is quite similar to Replica: By The Fireplace but with a cinnamon twist. Very intresting.

New Michael Malul lover - female, 38. I started with a blind-bought bottle of Atara after a couple of my most-trusted Youtube gals raved over it. Oh myyyyy - Atara is the sexiest summer, warm-weather fragrance I have ever smelled. It performs fantastic, so I ordered the Michael Malul sample set when it became available. I love all types of fragrance, and especially unisex scents in cooler weather. I absolutely love this. It is everything I have been looking for in TF Ombre Leather, Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Vanille, etc and never quite found. As a woman, I find this completely unisex and ordered the full bottle. It's like a warm, leather, boozy, vanilla, tobacco gourmand to me. Maybe now the cool March weather won't be such a bummer since I can get some wears in of this Jet Black Platinum.

This is fire. Maybe it's because I love something that's not your typical, masculine, ozonic or fresh scent. But this fragrance has become one of my weekly go to's and this is in the middle of summer. Mainly because I find this fragrance versatile. I can't imagine how great it smells in the winter. The scent reminds me of the rich arab men I grew up around in DC. Classy, sophisticated, alluring, and LONG LASTING! I get compliments every time I wear it. Guys, definitely get this fragrance if you want to stand out.

Blind Buyer here. All you need to know is that Jet Black Platinum is a beautiful fragrance. Smells amazing. It's very gourmandy, creamy and has really good performance. It has similarities to Stronger with you Intensely but it does its own thing with the toffee (as said by Ash of GentsScents). Finally said, my dad likes it, my mom likes it and most importantly: I LOVE IT! If you like sweet fragrances absolutely go for it. Have a great day! :)

I was sold this one by a man who knew exactly what I was looking for. I went into a discount store, and was approached with a smile and a greeting of "what are you looking for?". I said I like leather, and he immediately pulled out this one and I was immediately in love. The vanilla/leather/tobacco(?) smell lasts all day, and complements what my wife likes to wear (Michael Malul Candy) so we don't clash when we're both wearing fragrances.

Incredible fragrance with a powerful aroma. It's definitely achieves compliments. It's long lasting and has a very rich vanilla scent. I highly recommend this scent. Fortunately for me, I did not pay the $140 CAD price tag it was originally set on and I managed to get a good deal on it. If you can get a good discount I would certainly recommend.

Incredible scent. Spicy Toffee, cinnamon, amber, vanilla banger. Very similar to SWY and opening is very similar to The Most Wanted. Blended perfect and smells fantastic. Good sillage and pleasant lasting aroma. Highly Recommended. Women absolutely love this type of scent on a man. Something sexy about it for sure.

This is probably the best fragrance in this entire line! I am a gourmand fan, however. Strong, sensual, alluring. Scent: 10/10 (excellent) Longevity: 9/10 (great staying power) Silage: 9.5/10 (smells like a bakery in the best of ways lol) Price: 8/10

Beautiful scent I find Michael Malul scents to be very very good quality, if you find the proper pricing. They last long they are made with top ingredients and the spectrum is wide. This scent is definitely in the lines of Stronger with You.....

Great fragrance! I got the free sample set, and immediately liked this one. Thus far, I've worn it on two occasions and it was a head turner and compliment getter. It is sweet, so don't over spray it (3) and keep it to colder weather.

Probably not the best blind buy, but I bought a 10ml size for $30 and it is extravagant. Very sweet and vanilla forward. I give it a 9/10 on smell, 7/10 on silage, and 7/10 on longevity (one spray on the wrist lasted me about 6 hours)

Such a great fragrance, may be sweet for some but its definitely a huge compliment getter. This is also the smoothest scent I have ever smelt in my entire life. For me this is a 10/10

Stronger with you intensly, this smells veryyy similar, but has a richer more gourmand drydown and most definitely more popular with women

For some reason, this fills a room with 1 spray off of my skin. Literally. It will linger in the air in the room you sprayed it in for the next day or so. This doesn't scream off of my skin; it grabs a bullhorn, turns it up on max volume, then screams into the bullhorn. Montale White Aoud does that on my skin, too, but not to the level of Jet Black Platinum. It can turn up a compliment for sure; I have to be in the mood for it since it's really sweet, but it's so loud off of my skin that I'll only wear it when it's near or below freezing. I'm grateful for being in upstate New York to have a chance to wear this, but I can only really wear it during frigid winter nights without choking others around me out cold, even myself. Can't wear this during class, definitely can't workout while wearing it, and it lasts a good 12+ hours on my skin. Smells nice though, but I can't really wear it too often due to its outrageous performance off of my skin. If it were toned down on my skin, I would wear it for date nights, but I guess I can wear this in clubs or out in the open air.

Got a Mike Malul sample set of 13 fragrances recently. Overall, I think if I got my hands on these samples 2-3 years ago in my “fragrance journey” I would have been blown away by most of these. But as I have a ton of frags and a veteran nose, to sum up this house, I would say overall they are a solid house, and for the most part the colognes are enjoyable and decent for their price, but there’s nothing really outstanding. Lots of frags where I would say “this smells really nice, but I already have other colognes in that same world that are higher quality and perform better.” Lots of B and B- grades. That said, by luck, this one happened to be unlucky #13 as I burned through the 13 samples I got.....and it’s IMO hands down the best fragrance in the entire house. By a mile. Spicy and sweet. With a touch of a lavender vibe. Kind of Spicebomb-esque, but not a clone or directly like it. Really nice and performs decent. 6-7 hours with medium silage. If you’re gonna dip your toes in this line, I would suggest starting here.

Candy sweet boozy coffee with an underlying fruity note. No lavender. No identifiable spices, though I'm sure there's coumarin bolstering the unrelenting sweetness. Smells like something Victoria's Secret would bring out under the name 'Sexy Java,' and also like one of the Rihanna fragrances. There's a dark vanilla richness to the sillage in the air but not a lot of depth off the skin, even after the (sweet) tobacco kicks in. As a men's scent , I think JBP would benefit from a bit of dry wood, chocolate, or leather in the base. An underlayment of straight ambroxan, like Molecule No 2 would work as well. As it is, I would recommend this to lady identifying friends who desire sweetness but don't care for florals.

I don't get ANY of the notes listed on here. In fact nothing on the "reminds me of" checks out to my nose or people around me. What I get, along with several of those around me is Creed Aventus type DNA, maybe with the way the lavender hits with the spice, but nothing sweet, or gourmand at all! I'm so taken back by all the comments that I had to leave a review in case anyone else picks up on what I do. Again, not just to my nose, but to several fragrance enthusiasts around me. It's a nice fresh scent suitable for most if not all seasons/occasions.

I bought 4 different Michael Malul fragrances from a reputable discounter as a blind buy, including Jet Black Platinum. They were pretty much a disappointment to me. Jet Black Platinum has a strong synthetic immature sweet accord similar to many designer fragrance lines that are popular these days like Carolina Herrera Bad Boy, Rabanne invictus and One Million, and Valentino Born In Roma. I would not recommend this. Even my young son did not like it. I would give it a 5/10 and a Fragrantica score of 3.7.

long time reader first time reviewer so in Australia there isn't many shops that have testers, 4 that's all I can think off so basically need to buy everything blind and this was one of the items I did buy. There wasn't much info on this aftershave so I still took a punt and won. it smells very similar to Armani stronger than you intensely great fragrance but I own Armani already. one spray lasted about 6 hours.
