Jet Black Reserve

This is a very good sweet, woody, and fresh scent to be worn in winter/fall. Smell great but DO NOT SPRAY ON CLOTHES because it will stain it. I made the mistake of accidentally spraying this on my clothes and could still smell it several days later even washed. Be careful wearing this scent in closed spaces because its very strong and could be cloying. If you like sweet fresh woody scents then this is the one for you. This is a hidden gem for sure Presentation 8/10 Nice clean all black with the gold atomier 10/10 pressurized smell 9/10 signature scent worthy longevity 10/10 could smell easily over 12+ hours silage 7/10 average mass appeal 7/10 nice but may be too strong for some I don't recommend blind buying def try it before acquiring.

#1638 in my “Tour de Fragrance” got this as a sprayette from scentswithsense.com This is very nice! Woody cardamom without the citrus notes that tend to make these scents more something for college age men or younger, at least in my mind. Very similar to Ajmal "Amber Wood” and priced roughly the same. Normally I would prefer the Amber Wood with its Orris note, but not this time. The absence of florals makes this more unequivocally masculine. Long lasting, moderate projecting, very attractively masculine, versatile for any use or environment. It’s been a long time since I’ve purchased a scent without incense, olibanum or myrrh to give it some anchorage, but this scent needs none. I’m in. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

Bought this before trying the sample pack they have. Have to say, this is still my favorite of the bunch (JB Platinum comes second). It smells intoxicating to me. It's a cuddle scent, quite warm and says "come close" in a scent. It's sweet and woody, and pretty loud, so don't spray too much. It's only slightly powdery to me. It's the perfect date night scent for those already in a relationship - I don't think it's as good for a first date. Great value at discounters. Vibe: cozy, flirt, intriguing Visualization: Date night with a long term girlfriend, getting cozy Versatility: Fall and winter nights. Best for date nights in cold seasons.

I think its a fresh clean massappealing scent, its has shower gel feeling as well after it chills down from the opening. I really think its an all year around scent and can be worn in the day as well, the occasions are misleading here in my opinion, its not a heavy scent. At first gave me a manly br540 vibe and then I felt it got closer to prada luna Rosa ocean le parfum ( didn't have experience with the other ones so idk if there is a more fitting one but the there are similarities to this as well ) Overall I think its a great scent, cant say much about performance and longevity yet

Stunningly beautiful fragrance, but one that can only be brought out on special occasions. Its woody, a little sweet, and buttery smooth, and although not very complex, it nails its scent down perfectly. This one stays on the shelf for me sadly as its not very fitting for everyday use, but I love when I can bring it out. Performance is alright, good sillage around the body for a few hours, but projection stops after that. Would recommend for fancy occasions, date nights, and the like.

Got this after sampling the entire line at a cologne counter, smells incredible! Can't stop sniffing my wrists after putting it on. It's warm, woody, with a hint of sweet apple and lavender. There's also a rich animalic musk that's present in its top middle and base, making it very masculine. Absolutely the best cologne I've ever had or smelled!

Solid longevity and great projection. Great scent, a lot of amber but pretty sweet with a good amount of wood, lasts for a while for me but I like that it’s very mass apealing while still being pretty unique. The Apple and pepper adds a crisp sharpness to the classic amber and wokd dna. Picked up for $70 and def worth it.

This one gets the compliments! I detect some Oud in there, but maybe I’m wrong - and if you’re someone who doesn’t like Oud, I think you’re still going to like this one. It has a freshness to it. This is a date night easy-grab. It’s sexy and mysterious, yet inviting.

Very impressive stuff. Nobody around here, Worcester MA, seems to know about it so I get a lot of questions about it every time I wear it. I'm liking this new house a lot too.🔥🔥

Great smell, huge projection wore it to a party and it was all I could smell. I like it but I don't love it. It's a bit linear, not the worst thing but I like colognes that take me on a ride. I think that's what this is missing. I got a sampler bottle and I'm not made but I might not re-up when it's done. Not office just fyi, it's too strong fills the whole room and while it's not offensive, people have their sensitivities.

After sampling this I recommended it to my father who purchased it. The sillage is strong and it lasts a long time. There is LOADS of iso e super in this along with a simple amber accord. There are also some spices underneath. This is one of the few fragrances where I can detect the iso e super. This is a nice cozy sweet woody scent for the fall and winter.

Heavy at first, but dulls over time. I love how warm, dark, and spicy this is after the initial spray, but it just doesn't hold that momentum long enough. It lasts a good four hours on my skin, which is usually enough time when I go out. Solid, but its performance and complexity are lacking, especially for the price.

Smells like you have a lot of money, very fancy and would recommend for fancy outings like weddings, would not recommend for daily use

Very similar to Prada black or ocean edp. Powdery and a little woody. I really like it. But it’s redundant in my collection.

There is nothing not to like about this fragrance, but it is not a fragrance I love. It has a great opening with a warm, moderately sweet and spicy cardamom that stays in the front and center well into the dry-down. There are subtle notes of green apple and faint hints of lavender which fade shortly after the initial 30 minutes. After those 30-45 minutes, I'm left with a beautiful cardamom scent with very subtle amber and notes, but I get no woody notes at all. I truly do not see how anyone can say they still get any performance out of this fragrance after the first couple hours. Nobody around me can smell it unless they get right up on me, there is almost no scent trail, and while there is nothing that is not pleasant about this scent, it just doesn't stand out as unique or outstanding. Just for clarification, I usually spray about 8-12 sprays on for a wearing, so I am not under-applying this EDP fragrance. I think it is beautiful if you are wearing it just for your own enjoyment, but it is very low performing it you intend to be noticed.

Delicious smell, good longevity, bad projection. I can personally still smell it after around 8 hours, but does not project for more than about an hour. Have gotten a few compliments on it, but all within an hour after application. Still smells amazing, so good fragrance if you don’t care about being noticed.

Is this an overdose of cardamom or some woods? There's something pungent. I can tell the scent is something a lot of people will like, but my nose hasn't welcomed it yet. Scent: 4/10 (I can't wear this at the moment) Longevity: 9/10 Silage: 12/10 (easily fills up a room) Price: 7/10

This is sickeningly terrible. Smells like poison super strong over 24 hours. I smelled it again after a year, and I hate it so much that it made me write this review.

I bought 4 different Michael Malul fragrances from a reputable discounter as a blind buy, including Jet Black Reserve. This smells good, a bit like Lalique Black and White or Prada Luna Rossa Black. But it is very weak. I can barely smell anything, and its projection, longevity and sillage can basically be described as non-existent. I would give this a 6/10 and a Fragrantica score of 3.8.

Smells beautiful and addictive like a sexy gasoline. Can be overwhelming. However, the longevity is quite poor. In an hour, this perfume is gone from moisturized skin.

This reminds of me Prada Luna Rossa Black, dries down to sweet, powdery with a bit of some "earthyness" to it.

It's nice at first. But then it becomes sickly sweet, a weird floral sweetness that's too intense.

Powder cedarwood is what this smells like. It's very nice, good soft date night scent for fall.
