Sea+Zephyr

Update: 1/19/26 I absolutely love this fragrance. It’s unique and probably the best of Malul. The longevity is a bit longer than I originally thought but still isn’t amazing. I got more like 2 hrs projecting, and 5-6hrs as skin scent. It has a very soft projection when it is working. I sprayed it in my home office, went out for lunch and came back an hour later to my office still smelling like the fragrance (mainly the saltiness of it) but very subtly. you should put your nose on this for sure. Feel free to overspray this one. I’ve had this for a few days and the scent is absolutely lovely. It’s fresh, slightly salty, fruity, and clean. The apple and grapefruit note is fantastic. There’s a softness to this and some airiness. I don’t get a sharpness others have said. The atomizer is wickedly good. I feel that this is also pretty linear and doesn’t change much throughout the wear. I expected the oakmoss + patchouli to give it some... dirtiness? But I’m not getting those notes. Unfortunately this scent is gone within an hour on my skin. On clothes it sticks around for about 2-3hrs. After that it’s pretty much gone. Awful performance.

First take: One of my new favorites; definitely a toss up between this, Acqua Di Gio Parfum, and Kenzo Intense (very different) as to which I like more for this summer. On first take, this does an excellent job of landing somewhere between Dolce and Gabbana's Light Blue Intense and Acqua Di Gio (Profondo and/or the Parfum depending on what notes are showing through in the moment). Signature scent worthy, and worth the buy, if the sillage and longevity hold up. VERY SURPRISED more folks havent tried this one, only 100 votes (?!?), its a keeper.

This stuff is seriously so good and the perfect manly signature scent. I have smelled many scents that people would consider the most "ideal" scent for a man, and I think this one does that the best by far. This smells like a more playful and fruity barbershop scent but in the best way possible. To me this smells like a combination between pacfic chill and a classic barbershop fragrance like cool water. The longevity and projection are alright, but for the smell and price (given you buy it for $60 at winners) it is fantastic. 9.5/10.

This is the first salty marine style fragrance that has worked for me. I avoided marine like the plague previously, but this gives me hope. I get great longevity, more than 8 hours and with a decent scent bubble the whole time. I really enjoy this scent, it has sweet nuances in the dry down and deep dry down that flitter in and out between the salt and aromatics.

To me this is super similar to on the beach by LV but honestly more complex with added depth. It also lasts like 3-4x times longer than the LV for me because that added depth keeps it humming for a while longer. It’s a 4th of the price on discount as well, Id take this any day and love my sea+

An aquatic that offers uncommon complexity, this scent continues to impress me. Malul's ampersand '&' collection may leverage two elements for the name, but it's clear the brand is pushing the designers to create something new and novel, as one would hope with a niche brand.

Cant go wrong with Michael Malul freshies. Its very oceanic and citrusy with green notes like you are in an exotic beach shore and i love it! The perfect scent for summer days. 9/10 for me.

This to me smells amazing. Such a fresh and clean fragrance. Holding up pretty well with the warm weather. I would definitely buy this again.

One of the top scents I've purchased in many years. Complex, refreshing and nautical.

The bottle is a beautiful powder blue with a hefty black glass cap that comes off and goes back on with ease. Malul’s atomizers are elegant, they provide a very even dispersal of the fragrance with each plunge. The opening reminded me a bit of Torino21 by Xerjoff and left me initially longing for a blast of mint. After a couple days I found this fragrance is quite the herbal aromatic gem on its own. It’s a great scent that latches onto clothing like a beast while having decent performance on the skin. Very far from linear while having a beautiful opening, middle, and base. I’ve notice that the majority of malul’s fragrances have this clean soapy hygienic quality that makes it easy to like and hard to hate. Overall it’s a very elegant spring and summer fragrance or a California year round scent. I think Herpin did a beautiful job of constructing a fragrance that has a very wide range of likability. As an independent fragrance brand this is one of Malul’s better scents that comes beautifully packaged with the marketing and name representing the scent through and through.

Sea+Zephyr is a very solid summer scent, especially when it’s hot and sunny. The opening is a lot of grapefruit, apple and eucalyptus, with the basil a little more subtle to my nose. These opening notes linger for a little longer than many openings do, and I am grateful for that because it its frankly my favorite part of the scent. The vibe, to me is poolside at a resort, somewhere tropical. Like Florida’s if it were nice. As it settles in it stays very fresh, never “heavy” and subtly complex before calming down to a pleasant skin scent. Longevity is interesting here because the opening last longer than most, but the dry down is shorter than most, maybe 3 to 5 hours before its almost gone. Overall a great scent with middling performance. If you get a good deal (under 70 bucks) I would say certainly worth it.

The opening note is ideal for a hot summer day, featuring a robust citrus and green herbs scent. It’s perfect when you want to smell fresh and clean. After about three minutes, I notice eucalyptus, reminiscent of the summer air fresheners at Bath & Body Works. The freshness persists strongly for the first hour. After that, the scent transitions to something similar to Aqua di Gio, with hints of rosemary and musk akin to Aqua di Gio Profondo, giving a good idea of what to expect. In terms of performance, the scent is quite potent initially, projecting strongly for the first hour. Afterwards, it settles closer to the skin and lasts around five hours, though with less projection.

I have the OG and even if they’re not very similar, I found it very enjoyable and pleasant, but the performance in my skin was even worse than STARWALKER from Mont Blanc. I don’t have major issues with longevity with my fragrances, but this one is on the top 5 less durable ones. I like it when I try it and I though it was nothing to worry about it, but I asked Female conworkers if they smell 👃 my fragrance on my arm, and the answer was the same: barely I smell you.

It's a nice scent. That opening was crisp! The grapefruit and apple are very nice. My issue is that it also very quickly disappears on my skin. It went from crisp opening to skin scent in under an hour. The dry down was nice, don't get me wrong. It just didn't last on me, and the projection was pretty minimal. If you get better longevity and projection, then you'll really love the fragrance. It really is very nice. I just wished it worked for me

It’s a very easy to wear grapefruit scent for me. Winter or summer doesn’t matter I wear it to work (lifeguard) and it’s very humid and this stuff lasts 8 ish hours and has a nice scent bubble but it’s not offensive and I smell clean and professional Reminds me a lot of Khadlaj Shadow but here there’s a sour apple here where’ as shadow is just grapefruit for me.

This one smells a little generic to me. I like it, but it's not a favorite. However, there seems to be some component of it that lasts for a very, very long time on clothes, and leaves them with a wonderful, albeit mild, smell the next day. 2-3 sprays on a shirt that I plan to wear the next day is likely how I will use it going forward.

Slightly fruity sweet sea salt scent, opening is kinda sharp but drydown is smooth, kinda similar to ocean noir. It also has a TOP marine note, idk why it isn't mentioned. Slight green marine notes, almost like sniffing a sea weed that spent years near the beach getting smacked by the ocean. Very nice spring/ summer frag on CLOTHES since this one has a better projection than most MM line i have met before (like 8 to 10 of them). Struggling to Choose between this and ocean noir at the time, pray for me (it's just that this is less fruity & bit more salty and is made for clothing and the other is more fruity and is made for skin, such a beautiful struggle.) It's versatile no question.

Micheal Malul Sea + Zephyr is extremely similar to On The Beach by Louis Vuitton. It's slightly harsher on the opening and overall not as refined as OTB. Initial spary is a lot of acquatics, not the juicy apple/fruity type but more like a glass cleaner type citrus along with a lot of neroli, eucalyptus and rosemary. It's super strong at first, after about 30minutes, it turns more refined and well rounded freshie for summer. Let it macerate for about a month, after that let it settle on your sking for about 20 minutes and see the magic of it turning super close to OTB. Scent: 8/10 Opening: 6/10 (personally although most people buy this for the opening) Performance: 7/10 Overall: 7.5/10

I oversprayed this, and the opening is sharp as hell. It's been over an hour, and I'm still waiting for that to go away. It's a nice freshie, but it's kind of muddled as far as the scent goes. Reminding me heavily of YSL Y Eau Fraiche. Edit: Mid to dry down is very nice and reminds me of Y Eau Fraiche for sure, but a little more salty and aquatic with a little less Lavendin (lavender)= win, win, and win. Overall, I will taper my sprays next time as this does perform a lot better than most malul frags I've tried. 8/10 High heat summer approved. For my current tastes 6.5/10.

Opening is unique. The drydown reminds me of ADG Profondo and Azzaro chrome extreme. That being said, Sea+ executes that DNA very well with a herbal, delicate touch as opposed to harsh and shower gel-esque.
