To wellse: It does not suck, wellse, Deauville does exist as an EDP for women, read Olga's review below. There are dozens of online perfume shops selling Deauville for women. It is your fault you have not read the product description properly wherever you bought your bottle from. And if you did - just return it and try to find a more reputable retailer. Olga's review sounds so interesting that I just ordered myself a bottle! I hope to be at least as positive as Olga especially that it is my (yet another) blind buy lol I will leave my review soon!

I got this for Christmas about 11 years ago, and still love it for the fragrance I wear to family gatherings. To me there is a strong smell of cherry chiclets, and I love it, brings back memories of childhood. It's also a great fragrance for getting close, it smells edible!

I like it! Sweet and fresh. Its very oriental. Not strong but not weak. Cheap bottle falls apart. E-eh!..

I'd forgotten I had this in my drawer of favorite backups :) I originally tested it at a perfume shop and thought nice but not enough to purchase, they were asking $45 for a 3.4 oz for the EDP. A few months later I found a discounted 3.4 oz EDP for $8 at TJ. I bought and really didn't have any expectations. Fast forward to today and I pull it out of the drawer and try it. At first spray/first notes it smelled cheap and I thought rightly so. About a 1/2hr it began to change and it smelled so much better. An hr into the dry down it became a very elegant floral. Someone mentioned it smelling something like a flower shop and I agree, it's floral yet cool. On me, I get the Peony, Rose and Pear. I don't find it very sweet nor do I get the coconut, but I can add that by layering which I will try soon. Longevity on me about 8+ and projection is a bit more than that of a skin scent, so not loud but now so light either. Very pretty and most pleasant for everyday wear in an office environment. Pleasantly surprised. Some folks assume it's just a cheap perfume, but it is not. It is simply, very affordable now because it's been around for 20yrs. If you get a chance to purchase, I say get it. My box is pink with a light yellow tint in the juice.

This scent is a pleasant surprise. "Aquatic" fragrances usually disappear on me. However, Deauville, while light, has good longevity and is subtly delightful. I think the rose/pear combination is a more sophisticated variation on the popular fruity/floral genre, and the slight aquatic accord is more of an accent note that lends a certain freshness. The sillage is rather weak, but Deauville is an excellent choice for those occasions when a "sillage monster" would be inappropriate, such as a crowded restaurant or the office. The bottle is a lovely example of Art Deco/Art Moderne style, resembling an ocean liner (especially when the cap is removed, revealing the "smokestack" and "deck"). Summer update! : Deauville actually becomes stronger and lasts longer in humid weather. It seems to "come alive" in that kind of weather, but is never overpowering or inappropriate.

Blind bought it on sale. Checked the notes when I got home and was wary about this marine note...I was right! It smelled on my skin like a wet dog! (like when you take your dog to the beach and it gets that nauseating sea smell?) But hang in there, the stink goes away in 20 min and it becomes a light floral with something 'salty' in the back. It's pleasant, kind of generic. It is very light, only projects within the first couple hours, then it becomes a skin scent - a persistent one. If you want it to last, make sure you spray your clothes.

I purchased this for $10 at TJMaxx, and I saw it being featured also at a discount perfume shop at the outlets near my town. It is a pleasant floral but nothing remarkable. It has an underlying note which seems a bit synthetic to me, like maybe a powder note or perhaps that's the pear. It is bringing on a headache so will likely gift this to someone. By the way, the liquid is not blue as it looks in the advertisement but is a yellow color.

Bought this as a blind buy since it was super cheap at Marshall's. I did look at the reviews first. I really enjoy this, it is a pleasant surprise. Smells very feminine fresh and clean, floral and fruity. It's a safe scent you can wear almost everywhere. Comes in a girly pink box. I love all of Michel Germain's scents so took a chance on this one and do like it very much. The picture makes it look aquatic and masculine of which it is not.

Blind bought this at Marshall's a little while back. It is pretty nice! Nothing earth shattering...but nice. It starts off as a fairly cold aquatic floral but soon changes to a warmer, more fruity sweet concoction. Silage was minimal but it lasted several hours on my skin before becoming only a skin scent. Was well worth the 8$ I spent on it.

The version we have is Deauville France Yacht Club, which I can't find on this site, so I'm leaving my review here. Of all the colognes I've introduced or gifted my partner, this is by far his favorite scent. He compared it to the discontinued Axe Voodoo, but classy. The scent is masculine and fresh, not overpowering at all. It's the classic black suit of men's cologne. Doesn't particularly stand out but does the job well.

HA. I beat you all, as I got MY bottle for $5 at TJ MAXX. Yea yea yea. I'm only wondering if I should waste my money and space, and keep it--not to say it's horrible, but... • This is a very nice "fruit-flavored", body-spritzer type fragrance--less cloying than a scent from Bath & Body Works, but more like the style of Victoria's Secret. • I liken "Deauville" to the VS scent, "Pear Glacé". • This perfume does NOT represent the name of the upper class, French resort community, "Deauville" (pronounced doe-VEE') for which Louis Vuitton named their iconic toiletry case, hand bag. • Instead, this perfume should have been named, "Summer's First Kiss", or something as such. * If you like fruit-scented body sprays, that are nice, light, and sweet, then this one is for you. It's just not for me. To each his, or her, own.

A bit more for your $8 than a body spray, I find this to be a very pleasant, airy floral aquatic. And yes, the box is pink but the fluid inside is a very pale cream/yellow. Something in this has a very cold and breezy chill, something watery, similar to the very generically dull but unoffensive Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers. You might get the general hint of wet linens, trying not to freeze, on a line in April. A bit of generic floral "clean" scent but in a cold way. I don't know how a fragrance can smell cold, icy or chilly but this does. I can't even pinpoint one single flower in this but roses doesn't seem unbelievable. As far as fruit goes, it's hard for me to find warm juicy peach or pear, but I would say if there might be a cold fruit, maybe a very sour granny smith, maybe. There is supposed to be bergamot in this per the maker. I don't get any citrus but there sure is the tiniest hint of that refreshing quality in here. The best thing about it, besides the very low cost, is that it does smell better over time. It won't bother anyone (unless they're just plain allergic to fragrances) and adds up to a refreshing and playful scent.

This is a more grown up fruity floral. The pear is a feminine twist on the rose that is the main act. How it smells in the bottle has very little to do with how it will smell on the skin. But then again, almost all Germain's perfumes are like that, and yet I am never disappointed with them. Deauville doesn't stay forever, but it is calm and pleasant while it does. I would say it has moderate staying power on me, The sillage is light, and it does not project a ton. Which can be a very good thing. In summary--pleasant non-juvinile fruity floral that will not attack you or people around you. Thumbs up!

I bought this from TJ Maxx for $8 out of sheer curiosity. I generally like floral aquatics and the notes appealed to me, so I decided it couldn't hurt to give this one a shot. Deauville comes across more as your basic fruity floral rather than a floral aquatic to my nose. And generally I love pear in my perfumes, but for some reason the pear was very syrupy and heavy in this perfume. I didn't get any rose , peony, or sea breeze. In fact, I didn't find this to be a fresh fragrance at all. It's not bad - if you are a fan of fruity florals this isn't likely to offend... It's just not really my style.

I got a large bottle at Marshalls for only $ 12 and after wearing it for a while I must say I am pretty impressed with the quality for such an inexpensive perfume. It is a very nice aquatic, which has a different twist. I think there is something about the floral bouquet that gives it this unique quality. The sillage and staying power are outstanding, which makes it more than just another nice aquatic in my eyes. It's not extrememly sophisitated, but defunitely not flat scent. I consider it a successful buy.

I believe the EDP came along after the EDT. The description when it came out was: "A fresh breeze flowing through a French garden depicts the elegant simplicity of Deaville Eau de Parfum. The watery elegance of French Normandy pear, shimmering seaside air, delectable peach nectar, and fresh bergamot embody the natural sophistication of this." I have to agree this is certainly more Fruity Floral. On paper I got the Aquatic - unfortunately for me, I didn't on my skin. Love the pear tho!

I’m having a hard time figuring out which Deauville I bought because this picture is blue-and scream fresh aquatic marine light floral etc, the box I got is pink, which in my mind is entirely different than what I would expect from the picture on here, but it does in fact smell like the notes above, that light fresh floral smell and I do genuinely really like it, which for a $20 blind buy is great! I’m happy-confused, but happy :)

Absolutely medicore floral with generic jasmine/rose, powder/soap, and salt notes. I certainly don't hate it, and while it feels synthetic, it is not offensive. A safe bet as a gift for someone who wants a light spring floral...and the $8 price tag can't be beat!

I just bought this, it comes in a pink box and the tone of the liquid is clear, not blue like in the picture above. It is a nice fragrance. Not overpowering. I don't smell the coconut or rose. It smells more fruity floral than floral aquatic.

I'm glad I got this for a cheap price at marshalls. I only smells flowers, no fruit, no woods or coconut. Not terrible, just kind of blah. Like a chemical bouquet. Gives me a headache.

If you like Paris Hilton or Lancome Midnight Rose you'll like this. Not my thing. I suspect it has been reformulated and has different packaging.

The bottle has pink letters and it smells a lot like ed hardys first one try it and see I think it does.
