Femme Noir

I got my first compliment 5 minutes in. I found it on the $20 shelf at SDM and tried a spray from an open box. The cashier complimented me saying I smelled really good. This has been available a few times I've noticed at SDM. I highly recommend it if you like sweet scents. It's very sweet, fruity more than floral. For the price it's exceptional. The brand website says it sells for $80 but you can find it for $20 or under. Since there's not much here yet on this one, according to the jeanmarcparis.com site: Mysterious. Feminine. I picked this baby up at Burlington for $9.99. After seeing jean marc paris perfumes around I figured they were cheap no namers. I did a little digging and realized these are supposedly the rebrand for Michael Germain, which if you look online his perfumes have good reviews and usually go for about $60 where I live. Upon first spray I thought this smelled sweet and cheap as another reviewer mentioned. I put it back in the box and planned to return it. I decided to try it on my skin the next day and I'm glad I did. Even though the first spray is very sweet and almost cheap smelling, the dry-down is a gorgeous delicate patchouli and berry scent on my skin. To me this smells like a very light version of la vie est belle or sofia vergara Love. This is quite lovely so if you see this out, snag it and give it a shot. Let the perfume develop on your skin.

YUM. Raspberry patchouli mouthwatering sweet-spicy. In the style of popular fruitchoulies like the great review below states, and just a fun, berry-vanilla, and wow, even something a little buttery smelling too. Also this one doesn't do anything weird on my skin like a few others have; it just gets more snuggly and soft in dry-down. I'd say the patchouli is tame here. This is the best sweet fruity patchouli scent I've tried in a while. Longevity 4-5 hrs. Lovers of LVEB, Flowerbomb, Jimmy Choo, etc...grab this at Ross. Also, I have another Michel Germaine perfume, Tattoo, which I love, but my bottle of Femme Noir says Jean Marc Paris.

smells really good fora cheapie smells fruity and creamy, a little floral with light musk very sensual, hence "noir" in the title very addictive, pulls you in for another wiff the fruit in here is dark, like black berries or black currant or cassis or something like that the floral is light, probably orchids reminds me of vs noir tease, the original one, but femme noir smells better to me only thing... it doesn't project or last long. But for the price you can spray as much as you like!

I just bought this at tj maxx for a steal of $9.99 a 3.4 oz bottle!! Holy crap this smells so GOOD. My box looks the same, but the name on the bottom is Jean Marc Paris. it smells a lot like Sofia by Sofia Vergara, and the bottle looks similar to a Versace bottle. I Love this stuff. I'm gonna buy a backup!!!

I love this raspberry candy cotton scent, and gets me compliments. I'm on my second bottle.

great for a cheapy. long lasting, musky sweet deep almost amber scent.

As soon as I tried this, I could clearly detect raspberry, plus some sort of floral note, and a hint of patchouli. I managed to find some notes online – raspberry, rose, chocolate, patchouli, amber vanilla. Those seem about right. Femme Noir is a very light, pleasant, sweet scent, and a good value for the price. Fragaria’s review sums up how I feel about this scent. It seems to borrow from other popular current fragrances but doesn’t smell exactly like any of them. When I first smelled this, I loved it right away, but after it settles, I only liked it, because I feel it gets a tad too sweet in the drydown. I feel it was likely created to be a generic crowd pleaser at an affordable price, and it accomplishes that. It won’t make you stand out in a crowd, but it will make you smell pretty darn good and may even get you a compliment or two.

On a mere budget of pennies, this covers a lot of the huge popular sweet scents. This is "similar" to Guess by Marciano, Flowerbomb, Pink Sugar, Fancy, Nicole by Nicole Richie and many others. I don't mean this will replace them or there is no need for them. But if your the person that needs a sweet scent in your collection and you don't have but an extra ten dollars a year for perfume...this can fill in for that sweet tooth. (I have been this person) For such a low price, I find it's beautiful. Pink Sugar has been just as cheap. But I find this has a little bit of all these scents in it. If your nose is very snooty, you will find many faults with this scent. Myself, I could compliment someone wearing this as well as any of the other scents I mentioned. This isn't a diamond, but it's a pretty shiny crystal!

This is a strange fragrance on me... For some reason, I get a 'bubble-gummy' like smell that I can't shake off. It is so weird. I've learned that I don't like scents that smell like Flowerbomb, and I am okay with that. I am glad I never bought the expensive version because I really don't think it is my type of scent. I can wear this layered with Sofia by Sofia Vergara which I like more as it has more interesting notes than this super sweet, weak version. Not bad for $10 though, but I would not repurchase when I run out.

I picked this up from TJ Maxx today for $9.99 for 2.5 oz. It's a nice scent especially for the price. Initially, I get a fruity vibe reminiscent of Strawberry Quik (Nesquik) but those top notes don't last very long. It starts to darken up a bit soon after. I get some floral and vanilla/amber notes mixed in with a mild patchouli. It has a sweet fruity oriental vibe to it IMO. The lasting power is descent...not a powerhouse but certainly do-able. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase :)

Honestly? All I get out of this is strawberry on me. Nothing else. But on my mother it turns into this gorgeous deep sexy sweet patchouli perfume that neither of us can get enough of. So it's hers now, obviously.

All the reviews below are pretty accurate. There's a lot going in this perfume but it's a nice one for a cheapie. There's a lot of vetiver and patchoulli that makes the drydown smell like a men's cologne.

Update 11/17/21: I was happy with this at first but now I think it smells like cheap perfume with a men's cologne vibe. I haven't been able to wear it. This review is for Femme Noir by Jean Marc Paris, which from my research is the same as Michel Germain (?). I picked this up at TJ Maxx for $10 as a blind buy. A risk I was willing to take for the price tag! And: I love this scent! It's fruity, sweet, and sexy, but not too heavy. There's a bit of a masculine "boyfriend" scent in there (the vetiver and sandalwood combo, I think), but it's paired with a wonderful brightness and sweetness from the strawberry and orchid, so the scent is decidedly feminine. I prefer deeper fragrances and gourmands, so this was a huge win for me! What a cheap thrill! If you're looking at this at a discount store and you like V&R Flowerbomb or Lancome La Vie Est Belle, you will love this one too.

This is nice. I think they may have renamed it to Sexual Noir under Michael Germain, but also sell the same perfume under their Jean Marc Paris brand. It has most of the same perfume notes and I think Jean Marc Paris is under same company as Michael Germain.

Doesn't last on me at all... I've had to spray myself five/six times to get anything.... I've decided to mix this with Aventus and Pure orchid by Halle Barry dupe perfume oil in a body spray bottle..... Smells a million times better with longevity and actual sillage. First spray is REALLY nice but I refuse to pay anymore than five dollars for a perfume that doesn't last five minutes.

this perfume has a very similar base to flowerbomb. If you like zara perfumes and the way they perform (the taller see through bottles with colorful caps like the bottle cherry smoothie or nude bouquet is in or the collection red temptation and golden decade those types of bottles, not the short square colorful bottles because those perform like trash) then you will absolutely love this! Very crowd pleasing scent. Mixed just as well as a zara perfume and lasting power is the same. I smell the strawberry fruitiness. It is the same level of powderiness as la vie est belle or flowerbomb. The dry down has that masculine kind of smell like Carolina herrera good girl does because of the vetiver in this. Definitely a sweet scent but a tiny less sweet than flowerbomb or la vie est belle. If you really don't have money to spend this a great perfume. I have niche perfumes and designer 200plus bottles and I bought a backup bottle of this because it's worth the price IF you overspray because then it will last all day and it does project. I do around 20 sprays before work, go about my day and receive some compliments, touch up during lunch with 6 to 8 sprays because this is $9.99 and for that price you can spray as much as you want. I get home after 8 hours and its more than a skin scent projecting mildly creating a nice little scent bubble. My boyfriend loves this one and compliments me all the time. If you don't overspray this will be a more intimate scent if that is what you like. Very versatile because this can be worn day and is also suitable for date nights. To the average person who doesn't know perfumes, they would think this is a designer perfume the same way sofia vergara the original or sofia love smell like they could cost more than they do. The bottle at burlington looks different than the picture on here, its called femme noir by jean marc paris in a coco mademoiselle type of bottle. If your budget is zara prcies and you like mass pleasing pretty girl sweet scents, this was made for you.

I bought this perfume quite a while and i love it. It opens with something citrusy like bergamot. The dry down is patchouli and a bit of sandalwood. The fragrance is FEMME NOIR By Jean Marc Paris, not Mitchel Germain. Its an EDP (spray) 3.4 fl oz bottle that you can find at tjmax, marshall, ross, etc, for about $9.99. Its a fragrance that you can wear daily. If you see it grab it. It last around 5-6 hours ON MY skin, which is not bad. Give it a try. I prefer to use it during summer because it smells fresh and clean. NOTE: this fragrance has a slight vibes as La Vie Est Belle or Flowerbomb but less sweet, IMO. Top notes: citrus, strawberries. Middle notes: Black orchid, patchouli. Base notes: French vanilla, vetiver and sandalwood.

So light and young, seems marketed to teens. Almost something that Bieber's people would churn out. The name Femme Noir is so misleading, I was expecting something with more weight. If you spray on a lot you get the tiniest glimmer of Miss Dior Cherie, Viva la Juicy, or Bodycology bath products, especially XOXO, but mostly typical teeny bop. You could wear this anywhere and offend no one. Universally safe. Update: I've pulled this out now that it's winter and find it to be more on the masculine, spicy side and very similar to Adrienne Vitadini. After coming back to this a few months later, I find it very much like Cherry Blossom scents, and I just realized, Flowerbomb, Ellen Tracy Love Notes.
