Sexual Femme

Sexual Femme was a blind buy for me, motivated simply by the notes and the helpful review of Redlipstick (thank you soo much!) :o) At first spritz: Red berries. My nose can't detect the raspberry as a separate note. It is sweet but not cloying. Just a fresh breeze of red berries. Dry down: Red berries, though still existant, melt into the powdery rose as chocolate spears its sweet head in. After about an hour: Even less hint of the red berries, but more of the powdery rose and the delicious chocolate. This is not a "sharp" coco kind of chocolate. (Sort of like Chocolovers.) But more rounded and, by my guess, due to the tonka bean and powdery rose. Patchouli is barely detectable. Just gives it a bit of groundedness. No bitterness or "dirty" feeling that comes from too much patchouli. Also noteworthy: It stays close to skin and has poor projection. If you want to be noticed when you walk into a room, this may not be the perfume for you. Personally, I don't mind it if one has to be close to me to smell me. I like being hugged and sniffed! :o) But I need to remind you that this is the result on my skin. May wanna test first, but I'm happy I made a blind but totally successful purchase. I'm gonna try the signature perfume "Sexual" now. Can't wait... Enjoy! :o)

Sexual Femme was my signature fragrance for much of my early twenties. I always wore it for nights out after putting on a skintight American Apparel dress (ahhh, my sense of "fashion" in the late 00's). I first smelled it at a perfume counter in 2008 after the saleslady told me how sexy it was. I instantly bought a bottle! It had a deep, super sensual, naughty and spicy quality that I can't describe. I can't really smell much of the chocolate - to me, it was the patchouli and rose combo, and it was magical at the time. I bought another bottle recently and compared it to my 17 year old bottle (I have about 25% left). It's lacking the depth now, so it's probably gone through reformulations. It's just not as special as it was. I'll always love it though <3 ETA: I sprayed my newer bottle, and it's still damn good. Don't hesitate to buy the newer bottles. Still soooo warm and sexy!

The chocolate (which is mentioned below by Alces Alces as a powdery chocolate. I have to agree.) is barely there on my skin. Nor is the rose nor the tonka particularly pronounced on me either. Instead this is a pleasant soapy office scent. Not gonna offend, nor is it gonna stand out. It's just clean on me. It has a purpose for sure, as I work in an office currently. But I think it'd be better as a candle or something. No grand statement here. Also, as all Michel Germain fragrances, this has been repackaged and rebranded as Jean Marc Paris's "Fleur Paris Noir." New bottle and name, exact same notes. Used to be like $100 (and still pretty much is on the official website) but it's now like, ten bucks at Gordman's, Marshall's, TJMaxx, etc. I don't regret buying it, as it has its purpose for me and my current work situation. But if it was any more? I don't know man.

This is a spectacular flanker. My favourite fragrance is still the original Sexual, but this one is also gorgeous. This is a warm almost-gourmand, however because there's no vanilla or sugar it isn't a 'heavy' gourmand, nor is it at all sweet or headache inducing. On my skin the drydown is a lovely mix of dark chocolate, patch, tonka and rose. I only get a bit of raspberry in the opening, but that's due to skin chemistry I suppose. My SO says this smells like a 'middle aged' perfume (he's middle aged himself, by the way). I'm not sure what he means, but perhaps his comment is due to that lack of sugary sweetness that most gourmands these days exhibit. Definitely for the woman who works her sensuality and isn't shy about it.

I.just.love.this. I actually confused it with the original Sexual, which is nice enough and I have one bottle. But this is WAY BETTER. It IS VERY SEXY. I MUST have a bottle of this at all times. I didn't even know it had patchouli in it, which is okay, I like patchouli well enough, but it must be well blended, because with the rose and chocolate and raspberry it is beautiful. LOVE THIS! Very yummy!

Wow, smells so delicious and sexy! It's right up there with CK Forbidden Euphoria and CH 212 Sexy. I don't understand how this isn't more famous

Very surprising! And I'm in awe... Was not expecting this to turn out so lovely on me. I thought there might be a berry overloaded blast, but no. I get cocoa dusted chocolate covered cherries. Not the milk choco kind, the dark , semi sweet kind. There is a sweet rose in the beginning which blends well with the berries for a fruity & unique introduction. But they both mellow down when coated in tonka bean towards the end. I don't really get much patchouli... just a light dusting of it. Enough to round it out and keep the rose from being too green and the berries from being too tart. This is a grown up, not so sweet gourmand. It's more that just your average fruity, floral uber girly perfume, too. The name implies much more. And it will deliver just that! I'm happy to say I am thrilled with this blind buy! This is what I would have hoped and wanted S-Perfume 100% Love to smell like, but I was totally let down. Sexual femme exceeded my expectations with the combo of choco, roses, & berries! If you were disappointed in 100% love, definitely give Sexual Femme a try. :0)

So funny, I just bought this at ross too, did we all buy it there? I can't say I love this, it's a bit rough, a bit dirty, it seems to have a bitter chocolate surface with a faint smoky layer. Under that layer some berry and florals are surfacing through here and there, slowly rising through the top. This perfume is like waking up with smeared eyeliner after spending the night in a dark smoky bar. I should hate this, it's dirty sexy and rough, yet I don't. I keep reaching for this, and catch myself smelling myself when I'm wearing it. It's not really overpowering despite my description. I don't know, I love it, yet hate it too. Weird. Until I figure it out I'll just have to keep trying it. :)

I couldn't resist the name, so I bought it for $12.99 from Marshall's. I didn't realize it was the "Femme" edition, nor did I know anything about the notes. To me, it does not smell sexual at all. It is more ladylike floral. So to sex it up, I layer it with a deeper "boozer" scent to make it work the way I want on my skin. The ratio is 3 to 1. (3 of the deeper scent to 1 of Sexual Femme) I also layer it with 2 to 1 of a sweeter scent, which I also like very much. Far be it from me to waste a perfectly good base to work with.

I blind bought this thinking it would be bomb, but it only bombed. Incredibly generic smell and not even a good one. I can't say it's terrible, but in my 3 years of owning a bottle (that I blind bought, because had I smelled it prior, I would've NEVER purchased this) , I have only reached for it to smell it to try to give it one more chance, and every time it is disappointment. Secret smells absolutely amazing, and Fleur isn't too far behind Secret, but Secret is honestly the best in the lineup to my nose.

Floral fruity gormandes are a massive draw card for me, especially when there's chocolate in there. Sexual femme is alluring enough, but it could lash out a little more with the chocolate and patchouli. I find this is a great day time perfume and great in summer as warm skin sets it off beautifully.

I had to give it a try although chocolate scents aren't my favorite. Found it in Ross for $10. It's definitely a berry scent with a little powder and touch of Rosé. Not a sexy scent. More like a spring type of smell. It's a baby insolence. Not as unique as insolence. A little soapy. Worth the $10.

This is a beautiful, flirty perfume, but a bit innocent for the name sexual. It's a happy, fresh floral. Btw, a little goes a LONG way. UPDATE: I sprayed this on this morning, ran some errands, and then crawled back in bed with my fiance. May I say...he loves this ;)

I like it but this is another fragrence that's just not me. Up for swaps *shai Btw This could be a very nice scent for guys. Deff unisex<3

I really don't like gourmand fragrances but I thought I'd give it a try! On me this is Ghirardelli Dark & Raspberry chocolate squares, you know, the dark chocolate squares that have the sweet, gooey raspberry syrup in the middle. Lots of red berries dipped in velvety dark chocolate. The raspberries dominate this perfume, but it's not sickingly sweet. Tonka bean softly rounds it out at the end. I don't detect the patchouli on my skin. This a 'gourmand for grown-ups', like Angel. The flanker is really beautiful. The name "Sexual" is misleading, this is more playful and gentle than "sex bomb". I'm sure it would be beautiful to wear in the wintertime. Definitely not for me, but I'm going to give it to my mother since she loves to wear Angel and loves Sexual pour Homme on my dad.

I thought this would be really nice with the chocolate and bean in it to add some sweetness and depth..but unfortunately this is pure patchouli and rose on me in a very sour screechy way and that's where it stays. Im quite disappointed in this fragrance, its really not what I imagined sexual would be at all but I am sure it smells quite delicate on others especially if their skin brings out the bean and chocolate notes in this!

This is not like the regular chocolate fragrance. It is a very original scent. This is different from all the other perfumes that, I have, that have chocolate as a note. I understand why other people said it was a stink bomb, but just use a little bit (one spritz is enough) because this perfume is in fact very strong. I smell berries and a bit of that sweet Mexican chocolate. Longevity and sillage are very good.

The bottle I purchased must have been old because I do not smell notes of anything really. It all just blends together to make a funky, sweet, sour smell (and not in a good way either). Made me nauseous and had to hurry and wash it off. On the bright side, it seems to have good staying power. Took 3 washes for it to come off.

I can not stand it, I hate it it gave me a headache all day.

This one has been a big disappointment for me. From the notes I expected a very different fragrance. There is a strange, unpleasant sharpness that I can't attribute to any of the notes. I get no sweetness, no fruitiness, a harsh generic floral that doesn't smell like rose and the bitterness of cocoa with all of the actual chocolate stripped away. With those notes I was hoping for something rich, lucious and decadent. Instead I got something I would have expected to find in the dollar store. I have a couple other Michel Germain fragrances that are quite enjoyable, this is not one of them.

This one took me a while to figure out. When I first tried it, all I got was this loud perfumey smell that did not impress me at all. It took about an hour before the chocolate note developed, and then it was not heavy and rich as I expected. It was a light dusty chocolate smell like Nestle's Quick Powder. You know that smell when you open Nestle's Quick? That's the chocolate in this. The rose is there almost from the beginning. For a while, you can actually smell the chocolate and rose, but not for as long as I wanted. This is a very light scent for an EDP. It could be stronger. The patchouli is barely there. Since I have only worn this a couple of times, I may edit this review after cold weather comes. I have a feeling it may be better in the cold. I like it and find something in it worth my attention and additional trials. Honestly, I don't know how this is supposed to be "sexual." Whatever. EDIT: May 19, 2019 Sexual Femme grows on me. Except for the initial rose opening and faint chocolate heart, this is soapy and inoffensive, somehow reminiscent of Bvlgari Pour Femme, only with less violet. [Sidenote: Violet and chocolate would be a great pairing.] Sometimes when I wear Sexual Femme I refresh it with Bvlgari Pour Femme because they layer beautifully. A solid like, especially if soapy florals work for you (big fan of soapy florals and soap in general). Only drawback is when someone compliments me and asks what I am wearing...awkward name. Interesting to read other reviews that mention the name has been changed or rebranded. I like the heavy curved glass bottle, but the plastic cap is super cheap and tends to become disassembled.

I am giving an update on this perfume. This isn't a perfume that smells offensive, its not a typical macys perfume that smells 'good' it doesn't smell bad either but this is a perfume that suits the right person and if that isn't you this is the conclusion I have come to. This is a perfume that you want to wear to occasions that you don't normally go to and don't want to be remembered by this perfume. I would suggest wearing it to a wedding reception, a bachelorette party, a funeral, or a job interview. It smells pleasant enough to show that you are trying to smell presentable but that is honestly the only thing I get from it. Presentable. Its not amazing or unique its something I will wear out to occasions and to test out and see what people what see and that is what I Suggest using it for.The dry down is a LOT better the initial spray, and if you do spray this on you spray a good chunk on your wrists rub them together then rub your wrist behind your ears and on your ankels. Too much of this perfume would become confusing and distract the more pleasant dry down I am giving another update lol. if you are not sure about this perfume I think I may have found a solution. I sprayed some of this on before bed and forgot and ended up spraying Japanese Cherry Blossom body spray from bath and body works on aswell and these two fragrences actually comingle very nicely. I was surprised If I do wear this perfume I am going to spray it sparingly and spray over it with JCB I feel like it mixes well and gives the patchulie a better smell

I have to agree with saintleegray. I should hate this but I am not. Here is my reasoning.So, few weeks ago, I bought CK Shock for her, and while i love the hint of soft chocolate in there, it didnt last very long. So i am in quest for perfume that has a hint of chocolate and berry. I came across the review of this perfume, and majority votes that you can smells chocolate in it. So I bought this perfume. Spray it on my wrist, I wasnt sure if I can smell the chocolate. However I notice there is patchouli and cherry on the first top note. So, still curious of why i didnt smell the chocolate, I spray this again on my wrist, and for comparison, I spray CK shock on my other wrist. Hoping that I can sense the similarity..the chocolate notes. And there...I notice it. The sexual femme, has a very sharp and dark hint of chocolate notes when it dries down a little bit, while the CK Shock, has a little bit of sweet, fruity,milk note in it. So..if you like a sweet gourmet chocolate type of perfume, this isnt the one. however, I find this perfume refreshing. I did tried to spray it together with Body Fantasies Signature Pink Vanilla Kiss, and Id say its a good match!So...I dont hate it, but its not necessarily that I like it. Its...mysterious!

I bought this blind for $10 at Ross today, then after looking up the notes, I became a little nervous because generally gourmands dredge up bad memories of Electric Youth in my mind. However, I took a deep breath and threw myself into it. The very first thing I noticed was, as best I can describe it, a sort of dusty rose with a mild bite to it. The second thing I noticed was it didn't induce a headache, something I often get from fragrances considered to be gourmands. After about an hour it settled into a surprisingly pleasant blend of the tonka, rose, and patchouli, with a VERY subtle hint of the chocolate. At the present time I'm really not detecting much with regard to the berries, and I'm perfectly fine with that. It's definitely more of what I'd consider to be a daytime sexy than a nighttime sexy. In general I have a strong preference for florientals and seem to be a sucker for anything containing bergamot, but this is so far enjoyable enough that I'll keep it around for those times when I'm in the mood for something a little different.

This is one good smelling fume.It opens with the scent of juicy red raspberries,dripping their juices on the rarest of pale pink rosebuds.Such a romantic picture! Later I get cocoa like you have on a coldmfrosty winter evening,topped with marshmallows.You are curled up by the fire with your favorite shawl and sipping the sweet nectar as thr fire pops and gleams.There is also a hint of tonka that reminds me of the smell of those burning logs. This fume lasts quiet a while on me.Someone said they detected a note of cinnoman,which I admit would be grand added to my cup of cocoa.Projection must be great!!! My daughter in law used some after a shower at my house and when I went into the adjoining bedroom,I could have eaten the air!!!LOL. All in all a great fume for little money.Oh,yeah,men seem to want to follow you around and ask what you are wearing as they want to get it for their partners. This is my first review in a long time.I hope it is somewhat helpful!

I have to agree with takema. This one from Michel Germain was a huge disappointment to me as well. I love-love-love Germain's Sexual Noir for men, on my husband, which is what led me to trying Femme for myself. I really thought the fragrance has gone spoiled at first smell. It smelled like a hugely generic cologne scent initially. Then I tried to give this one a chance, and I wore it several times to see how I felt about it. The base notes are not terrible, but I just never loved it. The top note is a sharp fruity-floral scent, and then the spicy/chocolate base notes are barely there. My husband smelled me one day wearing this, and his comment was, "Are you wearing cologne??!!" So at that point....I decided, okay--it's not just me! I have to get rid of this one!!! None of the other Sexual perfumes sound enticing enough for me to try out, so I will just stick with my husband's signature scent from Michel Germain!!

I also found a 2.5 ounce bottle at Ross for 10 dollars. My opinion get that damb patchouli the hell out of this fragrance! There is just something about patchouli that gives the impression of offensive and chocking. This perfume also reminds me of far away dreams by avon, which I also didn't like. I personally feel like the berries and chocolate along with the patchouli give it a weird smell that wont settle good or smell good on just any one. If you are curious about this perfume make sure you go to Macy's and smell it first before you buy it. I don't hate this perfume, especially sense now I have a life time supply of it. I am trying to figure out when I will wear it. I will probably wear this when I don't really care what I smell like or before I have sex, sense it smells nothing like what I usually use it will be like wearing a different personality

I saw the reviews and happened to find this at Ross. Not the most sophisticated scent but definitely one worth having in your collection! This is a perfect running into town to buy groceries/ heading to school scent. Much classier than a bath and body works scent, but not quite as dynamic as a high end perfume. It sits right in the middle, which even on an effortless day, will make you smell like a lady with class. At only $10 you can afford to wear it often! On my skin the red berries are the first note to appear than quickly settled to rose (which I love). Then, slowly, the pachouli makes a demure appearance and steals the show. I have to say I'm a sucker for patchouli! So the dry down is my favorite part of experiencing this scent!

In my opinion this smells like a very sweet Calvin Klein Eternity for men (I hate eternity, gives me a huge headache.). I can't wear this on my body without getting a migraine, so I use it as a room spray and people seem to love it. This is the kind of scent that hovers around for eons. Lots of rose and lots of berry as the description suggests. On the rare occasion that I wear this out no one seems to notice this is a "women's" fragrance. It does get tons of compliments which I attribute to the sugary sweet people pleasing chocolate that is so popular amongst the younger crowd. And for 9.99 at Ross and Marshalls it's a steal.

The Guerlain Insolence comparison is halfway correct. This actually smells like a forest fire being put out with Insolence. Too bad!!!! Update: I'm getting used to the strange mineral/soil base. Smells like N. R. Essense eau de Musc. I find it a little on the masculine side. Smokey, with berries, pine needles, and something moldy. But it is very intriguing. I smelled an open gift set of Ed Hardy Love Is (for men) and it really reminded me of this. If you love this, get Love Is for your guy. Update: The Target store Threshold brand Cypress Juniper candles smell exactly like this.

The opening is bit too sharp. I will not call it harsh. But then it mellows down. And give it an hour or so for the tart chocolate to take the center-stage. And perfect background is created by rose and patchouli (my favorite combination). I could not stop sniffing myself. And best part is longetivity. And when it can last on my skin, it can last on ANY skin. Its sexy and confident perfume. A minimalist perfume. Nothing complicated but downright sexy in your face type.

I like this one a lot its quite sexy IMO. I just tried it while I was at Tj Maxx. This one reminds of Guerlain Insolence or my insolence but this one is more fruity so yummy. It's very sweet, but it's got a lot of depth and it changes quite a lot while the notes develop. Staying power is also amazing I sprayed on my wrist washed my hands several times and still can smell it. Will like to test some more but I was quite impressed by this one!

Attn: This review is for Fleur Paris Noir, not yet cataloged. I saw it at TJMaxx. It is in the new rectangular bottles this perfume line has been releasing. It is a dead ringer for Sexual Femme, maybe just a bottle update.

even though i get complimented on it...the berry can really get on my nerves at times..atleast for the first little while..berry is strong
