Sexual Noir For Women

I wore this all last winter and absolutely loved it. I just went through my fragrances to pull forward my fall and winter faves. I hadn't realized how low I was on this. IDK if I will be getting another FB this year but I wouldn't be opposed to it, just kinda went crazy with new fall/winter frags already. I decided that today was going to be a day that I wore it and I definitely agree that I smell strawberry no where in this. Also the sillage isn't great, and the legs on this girl are sadly short. That out of the way, I really really love this fragrance. It is definitely a sexy scent and it also has a youthful vibrant aire to it that I really enjoy. It's like a warm sexy but fun fragrance. The patch in it is not heavy handed once so ever, honestly I wish it was a bit heavier though. I would love if they made an intense version of this. Something that would up it's sillage and lasting game, while not losing the vibrant fun note that it has. When I got this last year I got my hubby the men's version, usually when frags have a men's version it usually has better legs and sillage than the female version, with this that wasn't the case. It seemed to have the same sorta areas that needed work. The scent itself 7/10 Sillage 4/10 Lasting power 5.5/10 If this profile seems like it's something you'd enjoy I can almost guarantee you will. Just a tip though, if possible grab a gift set with a lotion. I think that could help make it more of a bang for your buck.

Fruity, woody, & sweet with a bit of a masculine edge. The strawberry, lime & vanilla make it sweet. The vetiver & patchouli lends a masculine quality to it that provides great balance. Once it dries down completely you can smell the amber which adds a nice warmth. I really like this perfume, the only thing that will keep me from repurchasing is the strength. It seems a bit watered down. I wish every note was turned up several more notches; that would turn this fragrance into a staple for me because the scent itself is so versatile & can work during any season, day or night. I sprayed 4 sprays onto my wrist & already after 20 minutes it’s become faint. It’s there, it’s just leaves me wanting more. EDIT** I have to add, I bought the Intense version in hopes that it would be just that, more intense & therefore punchier & longer lasting. I’ll be honest, there’s not much of a noticeable difference. Not in strength or longevity. It almost has a rosey note in it too for some reason. Which I hate. So there’s that.

On me, this perfume is very masculine. At the initial spray I get the sweetness that most refer to, but the dry down reminds me of cologne. Luckily, I absolutely love it. I’ve gotten more into unisex scents lately so even though I was expecting a girly, sweet scent, I still really enjoy it. Lasts pretty well on skin, I can still smell it by the end of the work day. I think it’s more of a sexy evening scent but I imagine if you’re someone who’s dna amps the sweetness of the scent you may have a different opinion. Definitely not blind buy safe imo, but I like the surprise and plan on buying a full bottle when my scent bird decant is empty!

My boyfriend picked this out for me on a date, so it is one of my favorite fragrances. The bottle is their iconic navel shape and it comes with a precious black bow. Sexual Noir is a sweet, sweet scent. The big and juicy strawberries in the top note, orchid, and vanilla base blend together to make a thick and smooth concoction of floral gourmand perfume. The throw is absolutely amazing on Sexual Noir, it seems to leave a trail that people have found me to complement me on on more than one occasion. I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone who doesn’t like heavy fragrances, because I can see how this one could be headache inducing.

My boyfriend just bought this perfume for me for Mother's Day. It's easy to wear (as a former Viva La Juicy wearer) but more importantly he picked this out and bought it because he said it smells great, sexy but still playful to him sooooo looks like I'll be keeping a bottle of this on hand from now on lol. I feel like it's a nice combo of Viva La Juicy meets Flowerbomb. A little strong when first sprayed but dry down is great, wish longevity was a little better but it makes me smile that he picked it out 🥰 I have a handful of perfumes I'd love to do a swap if anyone has a bottle they want to part with

This has been a love at first sniff for me. It was a blind buy, in the beginning of my getting into fragrance. It has an enchanting sweet fragrance with a nice arousing amber behind the sweetness. It blends beautifully and I find myself constantly sniffing my own air when I wear this scent as it easily picks up in the wind. I also find this scent stays really well in my hair. If you enjoyed the burberry her elixir, although it does not smell like the burberry her elixir, the scent profile is similar but just much more ambery and woody.

I overlooked its complexity at the JC Penny perfume aisle. The name makes it sound more sensual than it is. It's mature in a womanly way, but it attunes itself to you. It enhances what you are. The atomizer quality and the soft, round bottle are very pleasing. I bought the "intense" version because it's supposed to last longer. It gives it enough time to mix with my own scent.

if you want to know exactly what this perfume smells like, chop up some strawberries & sprinkle them with brown sugar. i guarantee it smells EXACTLY the same. I would know- I compared both the scents. this is one of my summer signature scents & probably my favorite! my boyfriend will NOT GET OFF OF ME when i wear this. 10/10

This doesn’t smell like flower bomb at ALL. flowebpmb is extremely powdery and this is very sweet and dark

I’ve had a sample of this for ages but had no desire to try it. When I did finally take it for a spin, with no expectations, I found that I actually really like it! It reminds me of Mon Paris but a bit sweeter and with a lighter dose of patchouli. Somewhere between the Mon Paris EDT and the EDP. As luck would have it I wore this on Valentines Day which seems perfectly fitting, like a romantic cuddle while eating strawberries, just the right amount of cute and cheerful sweetness, but with enough of the “rougher” notes to keep it grounded, mature, sexy and “noir-ish.” I have now worn it several days in a row with great satisfaction, made all the more satisfying by the mixed reviews on here and the feeling of having it “all to myself.” I’m happy.

I am surprised that I like this one because when I first sprayed it on my hand I did not at all. Started out a sweet mess and dried down to almost a men's cologne smell. Maybe it was just my chemistry that day? I don't know but I am glad I gave this a second try. It does have a sweet pop to start out with but it changes quickly to more of a floral.. kind of like Mon Paris. Wait a while and the base notes are not really sweet at all but more like refreshing. I think that is the vetiver but I find it quite pleasant and not cloying at all. Seems to have pretty good lasting power too.

i didn't get the strawberry note as strong as some other people seemed to; i did get a lot of fruity and floral notes. definitely get the orange and sweet pea which i enjoy. the dry down seems to bring out just more of that without a lot of change. it's quite a sweet fragrance and i much prefer things that are sweet with an additional deeper note which this does not seem to. good for day or night, and i could imagine this is quite nice layered with other perfumes, perhaps a fresh one or a woody one. i like it, but i don't love it. would wear again though!

Sweet and very feminine. It's a grown up sort of sweet. The fruity top notes are smoothed out with the florals, jasmine and patchouli, and the woody base notes to make it a more mature sweetness. The longevity is average. The sillage is fairly close to the skin so this can be good for scent-free places.

No idea where people are getting the strawberry from I do not find that at all in this scent. It's a warm patchouli, vanilla, amber with hints of floral...it really is a dupe for Flowerbomb! I like this one a lot. I wish the longevity was longer on this one.

This pairs really well with YSL Mon Paris. This one is almost unisex/more feminine and the Mon Paris makes it a bit better IMO. The notes are similar so they compliment each other. Give it a try!

i can't say i smell the strawberry note very much at all, it's mostly patchouli, zesty citrus, flowery & a hint of vanilla to my nose but definitely not unpleasant! very mature and feminine.

this definitely leans masculine, smells like a man who just showered and smells real good. kinda hot. why am i turned on????

a fresh, yummy strawberry and floral. would be a perfect spring time scent. i would buy this in the future~

It smells good, definitely not what I usually go for or try. Very sweet, strawberries-and-cream quality when you’ve just sprayed it which I don’t personally enjoy too much, then goes spicier almost which is a lot nicer to me? Idk. I wouldn’t get a full bottle, but I’m sure it’s someone’s fave

Opens with sweet fruit. The florals mix nicely with patchouli and the bass notes. A nice choice if you like patchouli.

Strawberry pachouli and a small hint of pencil shavings. That sounds harsh but it's not bad, just not great either.

Meh I've used shampoos that smelt exactly like this. Kind of clean fruity smell.

I went into a discount shop to ask about a few men's frags (I'm a young woman), but the bumbling young SA was quite insistent that I'd prefer their current ladies' bestseller, which he called "Michael German Sexual Norr". He sprayed a paper strip and shoved it at my face with such enthusiasm that it crumpled against my nose. For the next several minutes my nose was assaulted by a sickeningly sweet chemical strawberry field, with light touches of discordant patchouli and car-air-freshener vanilla. Mercifully, I couldn't pick up on anything else, and the longevity after transferring from the paper was quite minimal. But even my 13-year-old self would have described the body sprays from Victoria's Secret or Bath & Body Works as more 'sexual' than this- and likely better quality. I know I'm not the intended audience for this fragrance, and I would've left it quite well alone given the choice. But I didn't get a choice, and Diego from the shop really wanted to know if I liked it "as much as all the other ladies" and whether I'd want to purchase a bottle on the spot, and what kind of fragrantician would I be to deny him and all you lovely people my thoughts?

I liked Sexual Noir a lot at first - fruity, slightly tart with strawberry and lime, and sweet with vanilla. I liked it enough to spritz it on my arm generously while testing it in a department store. Within 15 minutes, however, it became intensely sickening. I am a fan of sweet fragrances, including the sugar bombs put out by Bath & Body Works and Victoria's Secret. It takes a lot to overwhelm me with sweetness. Sexual Noir, however, dried down into such a cloying mess I couldn't bear having it on. The patchouli, sandalwood, sweet pea, strawberry, and amber created a heavy, choking scent redolent of cheap potpourri. The patchouli in this just can't get along with the other notes, and the mess that they create together is saccharine like artificial sweetener. Sandalwood and jasmine further insult with thick, medicinal sweetness which is very similar to a poor quality cotton candy body spray. The fruits dry down to smell corpulent and rotten. There are so many superior sweet perfumes at this price point which are far more unique, so I really can't see a reason to recommend this to anyone.

This is a fruity floral very feminine perfume. It opens up with a berry scent, before the flowers quickly come up behind it.If you're someone who likes fruity scents but want to branch into florals, this may be a good starting point. I'm not a floral fan and this has a sharp floral note I've smelled in a couple other floral perfumes that gives me a headache. There performance here is pretty poor and this fade to a skin scent pretty quickly on me. This is the only thing keeping this from becoming headache inducing. During the time I could smell it, it never really developed. I read some review about the dry down turning more woody, but what I could smell of it later on, it stayed pretty much the same and pretty linear. That sharp note did seem to fade on later whiffs I caught so I probably would find this pleasant to smell on someone else but not something I'm going to add to my collection.

Post- Jerry Curl Activator Trauma! Back in the 1980s, as a child, a girl had a locker beside mine. She had a do which was known as a jerry curl. Before every class she would bust out that dreaded bright yellow bottle with bright red lettering and spray copious amounts of Softsheen-Carson Care Free Curl Activator, all over her head and anything within 5 feet of it. This was how it smelled! This perfume freaked me out and made me feel nauseous. I normally love sweet scents....I didn't get fresh strawberries is sweet-peas. Just ACTIVATOR

this opens with strawberry and a tiny hint of woody notes. i read it as watermelon at first, before i looked at the notes because it smelled like a watermelon jolly rancher to me. anyhoo, it gets kind of sour from the citrus notes which exacerbates the watermelon feel for me. then i get some sweet pea which sweetens it up in a floral way. the patchouli and vanilla grow stronger, sweetening things up and adding a bit of depth. it is kind of sweet and sour...and it's too sweet/fruity for my tastes.

There is nothing "noir" about this fragrance. It is very linear, a tad boring, and smells like it was made for the market. I know Michel Germain is a smaller house, Canadian and all, but I find this, in comparison to some of his other fragrances, nothing special.

I won this at work years ago and never gave the bottle away. The comments comparing it to Flowerbomb are definitely right, but as a non-fan of flower bomb I never really wear this. It's not really for me, but my friend borrowed it once and she wore it very well.

Not bad, but not really good either. Starts out sweet and fresh, then just kinda gets sweeter, and then fades. Much too high of a price for a meh skin scent. You'd get more out of a B&BW frag for a tenth of the price.

Lol at wildvoodoo. Why in the Sam hell would a man want to wear a womens fragrance, especially one as heinous as this. Yuck. Vetiver bomb.

Where is everyone getting strawberry? This is a sultry, citrusy vanilla smell for me. I do not like it.

This perfume smells like pure, sweaty body odor. I received a sample, sprayed it on, and thought it was the wrong perfume (or even the men's version?). It smells so masculine but not in a masculine perfume, attractive way; it smells like a locker room. It is to the point that I cannot believe this is the correct sample and must have been an accidental switch or a fluke. If this is what it actually smells like on me then I am horrified. I have other perfumes from this brand that I love so I'm a bit sad! Other people say it's sweet, some get vanilla, others get Flowerbomb, etc. Sadly not me :,)

I just spritzed this today - and this perfume definitely has that "X-Factor - Wowness" that I have learned to seek when trying new perfumes. The name is not something that I would typically be drawn to, but the blend of this perfume is definitely sensual and yes, there is a raw sexiness to this particular blend of fragrance notes that has a chord which is very attractive and alluring. The name? Hmmmmm - I would like a more sophisticated name that would hint at "sexual" - without that word being so overtly displayed on the bottle. When I buy a perfume, I want to be able to display the bottle. I guess this goes back to my Southern Belle roots, sometimes it is best to keep things more "private"... and not be so boldly brash about things. This is interesting -- If this were a novel, it is telling us too much of the story - up front. I want a teaser, something that would allow me to know that there was passion involved in the story - but I wouldn't want a vivid description of this on the front cover of the novel... I would want a hint of mystery.

Sexual Noir starts with a blast of sparkly lime and a more subdued orange. It reminds me of a fruity margarita but in the best way. I don’t get the strawberry but maybe I’ll need to (sadly) let my bottle age before getting that note. The flowers are really pretty. These notes are generally soft, but the lime lingers, which keeps the composition bright. The patchouli brings a nice masculine edge to it... it’s not the strongest, but it’s a touch of intrigue. The amber and vanilla emerge. It’s really pretty against the vetiver and sandalwood. The lime still lingers. It’s slight, but it’s there and adds a touch of brightness. The perfume remains creamy and sexual. The amber is my favorite part here. It’s pretty. Maybe a touch of noir is there at the end, but otherwise I don’t see it. Although that’s most likely intentional since the bright fruits transition into the more sensual notes as it morphs. I could see citrus and vanilla lovers really liking this perfume.

I've had my travel size for a while, and just remembered I have it. I can see the FlowerBomb comparisons, it's quite similar, maybe a bit more peppery? I wouldn't say the name matches the vibe, really. It's nice enough, a pleasant musky, slightly fruity white floral. But it's not exactly giving "femme fatale", more like a chaste kiss on an ice skating date. It feels to me like those girly winter moodboards, white faux fur and pink Christmas trees. Nothing wrong with any of the above, I like pink and white florals as much as the next Pinterest girlie, but the branding is just....off.

So disappointing, I really liked this at first, but now its horrid. It smells exactly like sweet pea from bath and body works mixed with a thousand wishes by bath and body works. Smells exactly like those mixed but then add lime and armpit sweat and a public restroom. Its sweet, not in a good way. Don't buy this perfume or waste money when you can get something similar from bath and body works that smells better and lasts longer. Or just save your money to buy a nice perfume :)

I have this in a bottle labelled Sexy Secret Noir. I love it. To me it IS sexy. I also have Sexy Secret also Michel Germain. I love all his stuff I have many. I don't get the hate tho. Geez, look at the notes. If they aren't your thing, then steer clear. The brutal bashing is really over the top. Especially when I see so many go all gaga over Britney and Beyonce atrocities. Germain's stuff has a lot more class than that bilge.

It is a nice gourmand, not straight candy sweet, it has some depth, I like it, I don't find it as sweet as Flowerbomb but of course sweet scents get always compared to Flowerbomb!! I do get the orchid, the vanilla, the base is nice. All in all, not an outstanding scent, but a nice gourmand. I also get the vetiver in the base which gives it an interesting twist. Easy to wear for sure.

As much as I hate the name of this one (I do not want to have to say “sexual noir” if someone asks what I’m wearing 🤦🏻♀️) it’s actually really pretty. “Perfumey” in a good way, sweet, zingy citrus and strawberry, well-blended patchouli, warm woods and amber in the base. It’s flirty and fun, without being overly childish.

It's between Meh and Like. There is a softness, a sharpness, and a sense of overwhelm that is borderline headache-inducing. I feel like I smell both too little and too much? It is vaguely sweet and fruity with earthy undertones. I am very picky about patchouli and am not huge into vetiver. I like Sexual Sugar a lot more.

It is unfortunate but that name alone must have made people put it back on the shelf. And, the perfumer reused the name many many times. Either he has a terrible marketing team, or it actually sells... but not to people like me lol

I find this delightful. I would wear this. Too bad I don't have much of it to spray. I've got so many perfumes that I have nothing to do with. I want this one and if I ever see it, I'd buy it. It's better at the beginning though.

Not very original. Was hoping for something sexier. It has an overly sweet and fruity opening and then becomes more pleasant. It doesn't last at all though and isn't very strong. Inoffensive and suitable for daily wear.

I was given a generous sample of this. I thought I would like it, but it's kinda boring to me. It's like a wash of blah notes. It's very sweet as well. It doesn't evolve much. Too bad, but this one's just not for me.

You know how your hair smells after visiting your hairdresser? Because they used an expensive shampoo and applied some products. That’s the combo and this perfume is nice but doesn’t stand out, nor deserves its name.

This was very floral to me. I say that because people voted strawberry, vanilla, and lovely lime. I WISH I could smell those. All I smelled was sweet flowers.

I really love this one, however it does not suit it's name. It's not "Noir-ish", it's floral and sugary. Much more wearable than the Sexual Sugar.

It’s Flowerbomb without the longevity. Just buy Flowerbomb and you’ll be better off.

This looks like its going to smell just like Dior Cherie with some lime!
