Sugarful & Spice

You guys are crazy I love this. My only grievance is that the marketing is all orange and to me it’s bright pink. I much prefer this over the original Sugarful. To me this smells like an exciting girls night out in Hollywood. The type of night out that happens totally unexpectedly and ends up being the night you and your girlfriends always reference and laugh about. It smells like “I’ll Do It” by Heidi Montag. It smells like a girl with big huge sunglasses and a big huge purse and grown out highlights. She’s wearing no makeup except for frosty pink lipstick. As far as actual smells go, I get mostly pink pepper, amber, and vanilla. I pick up a little bit of sandalwood personally. I love the ginger, it adds a freshness and kick to the sugary sweetness, and the peony in the top is great, super flirty and feminine. I usually don’t like peony because it reminds me of Sweet Pea by BBW which my alcoholic aunt who stole our furniture and sold it wore, but this peony is delicate and very nice. I sort of understand why people compare this to old spice, but I don’t get the same vibe as old spice. There’s a touch of masculinity with the spice notes to the overly feminine profile which I find intoxicating. The most beautiful women are usually dudes anyway.

This one was a surprise and a very successful blind buy. Probably my favorite "cheapie". I am a fragrance junkie and in the heat of summer I was already looking forward to all the warm, sweet gourmands I could get for the fall and I came across this little gem in a reminds me of listing for another perfume and the notes intrigued me so I found it and bought it and I actually love it! Whomever said it smells like those spicy orange candies was right. It sorta smells like Thanksgiving. It is warm and sweet and although it doesn't contain cinnamon, you could almost imagine it in there. It is a fall scent but it isn't heavy or sticky. It is spicy but still bright and bubbly. I actually don't have anything really like this in my collection. I can't think of many if any orange based perfumes to compare it to. It is orange to make it bright and bold, mixed with ginger and spice then some vanilla thrown in to sweeten it up and pare down the spice then covered with amber to warm it up. A hidden gem!

Got this on clearance for 10.99 at Burlington and I am so glad I did. I had never heard of this scent before and honestly, the name and packaging turned me off. It looked like some kind of candy scented spray aimed at 13 year olds, but I have learned to not judge a fragrance by its cover (thanks to Ariana Grande) and decided to look it up on Fragrantica for its notes and similar scents. When I saw that it was compared to In the Stars, Cloud and BR540, I knew this would be worth it. Is it a dupe for BR 540 or Cloud? No, but it's got similar vibes. Maybe because I'm currently fighting a head cold, but I find it less punchy than Cloud. The vanilla shines through very clearly and gives it a warm, mellow ambience. Bold, projecting scents make me self conscious and this scent feels like it sits close to me, which I really enjoy. I only did 2 small spritzes, but I like that someone has to come near me to be able smell it. Again, maybe the head cold talking :)

I instantly recognized a similarity to BR 540 and all the various dupes, including Cloud. I’ve never loved any of those, but this is addicting to me. Creaminess, gentle spiciness, quiet sweetness. It’s just pleasant and easy to wear. I smell it for hours! It’s not too much for me even in high heat and seasonal allergy weather. I also find it a great bedtime fragrance. Typically, my bedtime fragrances aren’t something I want to wear during the day. Not this one! It’s such a good value for the money (I also paid $17 at Burlington). While some say this is masculine, I really don’t agree. Edit: Over a year later (11/2/23), I still love the juice. I don’t love the sprayer because it always sprays on the lid. I assume all of the Sugarful bottles are that way. If you don’t wipe it right way, the paint on the lid will bubble up. Might end up buying the OG or yellow one if I find them at the right price.

I hesitated to get this at first because of the packaging. But, I did some research and picked it up because of positive reviews.... and it $16.99 before Tex at Burlington. I wore it to work, and I was approached by a Major, and he told me that I smelled “REALLY GOOD”.... Smells like something my wife wears.... Baccarat Rouge or Instant Crush, or even Cloud? I showed him the bottle. Sprayed it and told him how much it cost. He was stunned. This one’s a keeper for me.

This is stunning. Completely unisex. Ginger note is strong and I absolutely love this for fall and around the holidays. Longevity was moderate, about 6 hours on clothes. I cannot stop sniffing this when I wear it, absolutely love it. Note— I love a unisex to masculine smelling fragrance on a female, so be aware this is not your typical overly sweet floral or fruity women’s fragrance. This gives me boss lady vibes and I love it!

This smells like a luxury high-end perfume! The name is a perfect description of this scent. It's so underrated and projects very well. This does not smell masculine to me, maybe a little uni-sex in the dry down but definitely would still call this a feminine scent. I'm not a huge fan of warm and spicy scents, but I love this one. Perfect for the fall time!

I received a sample of the Sugarful Spice since I initially bought Sugarful Kiss, and I'm actually liking Spice more. Sweet in a more calming/comforting way compared to Kiss and the original, more 'mature' but I feel like that's more fitting for my age demographic (30s to 40s). Definitely a pleasant fragrance for the upcoming fall.

If you're a gourmand lover, this is a must try for the fall especially. It has that fall/Thanksgiving vibe going on. It's unique, super sweet and yummy and if you check Shoppers Drug Mart right after the holidays, you may find the gift sets at a really good price. I have backups tucked away for all three Sugarfuls that way.

Do you like Cloud, In the Stars, Red Temptation, or another BR 540 clone/ dupe/inspiration? You’ll love this. It lasts almost 10 hours on me, and is a compliment getter. The bottle looks like an Italian restaurant spice jar, but it fits the name. Budget friendly, too. I got it for under $20.

I adore the spiciness of this perfume! I find that the pink pepper, ginger, and vanilla notes are particularly noticeable. It's long-lasting with a strong sillage so it's nice to wear on its own for the whole day. I prefer this over the OG Sugarful.

I love this! Not a fan of Sugarful, but this is really good. Sweet, kind of spicy and kind of sparkly. I can see the resemblance to In the Stars, but this is a little more sophisticated in a teenage way, lol. I definitely want a full bottle.

This is delicious. It’s playful and grown at the same time. It makes a soft cloud of spicy sweetness. It also has a soft creaminess to it that I can’t get enough of. I found this for $16 at Burlington.

This fragrance is gorgeous just like Sugarful and Sugarful Dream! I'm so happy to own all three. Sugarful and Spice is autumn in a bottle. Bleeding fresh orange and ginger and spice!! Love it!!!!

Sugarful & Spice is the best one among the Sugarful line. It is the beautiful cola perfume I've been looking for! Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a good cola perfume.

Delicious 😋 so yummy! Very good gourmand perfume,not sickly at all. The combination with the peony gives that beautiful and subtle floral note. Perfect:-)

This was one that I poo-pooed for the longest time because of the packaging and the price, to be honest. I don't like the original Sugarful, so I wasn't expecting much when I first sniffed it last fall. Nor did I buy it last fall though I'd tested it and didn't hate it, much to my surprise. I was in the market for something warm and sweet and cozy, so went with Philosophy Fresh Cream, which is smells like HEAVEN. I actually had every intention of repurchasing Fresh Cream but I get so bummed about the fact that I can barely smell it, like, half an hour after I spray it. So on a whim I just grabbed this one and sprayed again and upon first sniff I was sold. I bought it and wore it to bed last night, and it fit the bill perfectly. This is warm and spicy and not too sweet, like others have said. There is something lactonic in there, and for the life of me the pink peppery comes across as lavender to me? It's reminiscent to me of Arianna Grande's R.E.M because ALL I smell in that is the lavender. Of course, Lavender isn't listed in Sugarful and Spice, but I'm telling you, it's either the pink pepper or there's lavender in there. It's spicy and not too sweet and it's comforting but in a classy way. It doesn't smell like a little-kid gourmand if that makes sense? It's a bit grown up and it's...nice. I have to admit that the performance is quite good. On moisturized skin it lasted me a good five hours, and that's REALLY saying something for me as I think my skin EATS perfume. I don't think it has crazy projection and there doesn't seem to be any sillage to speak of, but I can for sure smell it on myself much longer than many others that are many times the price. Overall, this is a good one for those casual occasions when you want to smell good and feel cozy but you don't want to break the bank.

Review is for my own reference - Love at first spray!! I almost didn't try this, because I wasn't sure if I like it. Good thing I did, because it's soo good! It kind of reminds me of Ariana's Cloud, but spicier and with an end kick of orange candy. It has a bit of a masculine edge to it, which I think makes it more of a wearable sweet scent for my age (27) I would keep this is gifted and might buy a small bottle of it!! Edit: I bought a full bottle because I got points at Shoppers Drug Mart, but I kind of regret the purchase. It's one of those sweet scents you get sick of quickly. It's still a really yummy scent and I like getting random whiffs of it, but I will only keep the 10ml rollerball that came with it and I will try to sell the larger bottle.

I received a rollerball of this when I purchased a full sized bottle of the original Sugarful at my local Shoppers Drug-Mart. This, compared to the original Sugarful, is shockingly less sweet and even a touch masculine. It really does smell like gingerbread cookies baking in the oven, it's delightful and comforting. Absolutely a fall and winter fragrance. I don't get any comparison to BR540 or Cloud, however, this does almost smell identical to Le Monde's Chai Epicé. I'm surprised no one else has seemed to mention this. I own both, and I suppose that when I wear Chai Epicé, I'll bring this Sugarful rollerball with me to reapply as needed. I'm really looking forward to getting some use of it in the colder months coming ahead.

I tested in the store first. My first thought was “glad I didn’t blind buy.” But, by the time I got home, Sugarful & Spice had hooked me. When I woke up the next day and could still smell warm vanilla-ginger spice lingering on my wrist, I had to have it. Now I’ve had it a few days, and I’m wearing often (even craving it!). I hate Cloud with a passion, it’s everywhere. Thank god this isn’t cloud-like to me. EDIT 2/07/24 Oh-oh. I was wrong. I wore this the other morning and it was giving cloud. Specifically the new Cloud Pink flanker. Dang it. It’s on the swap shelf if anyone is interested.

This stuff is Thanksgiving and Christmas in a bottle. To me, this smells like a sweet and spiced orange-vanilla cake. I don't really get the gingerbread that a lot of reviews have said, but I certainly do get holiday vibes with this. The spice and the citrus help prevent this from smelling sticky sweet, which makes it very wearable for those who are not teenagers, haha. Floral and clean fragrances appeal to me the most, however, I want to smell happy, sweet, and festive during the Holidays, and this perfume accomplishes that ten fold.

Sugarful & Spice notes from Michel Germain website: Top: Sparkling Blood Orange and Pink Peony Middle: Wild Strawberry and Red Ginger Lily Base: Modern Amber and Creamy Vanilla. On me, I get sweet, spicy, little green, pungent, warm, and vanilla. It's warming up weather wise in my region, so will have to try this in cold weather. I will say I don't like smelling this up close to my nose. But, it smells really nice & yummy in whiffs at arms length. Up close, there's a playdough or plastic doll element like with Ariana Grande's Cloud.

This is my first perfume I’ve owned! It’s spicy, it’s sweet, it’s warm, and it’s got a sprinkle of sophistication from the orange and ginger. It’s 100% just a winter and fall scent, but a great one at that! Great for day or night. I’ve gone through more than half the bottle in the last 2 years (because it was my only perfume for a long while) I bought it for $60..... and it’s 100mL .... You can’t really beat that. And you’ll fool everyone, thinking you spent at least 3x that!

This is really nice. I blind bought it not knowing what to expect but it is enjoyable for gourmand lovers. It smells exactly like pink similar but with spice. It has a little kick to it but with that same burnt sugar, cotton candy sweetness that Aquolina has. It doesn't last as well as pink sugar in my opinion but is nice for the short while it does last. I would buy it again maybe but not for the price or comparison to pink sugar which is much cheaper

Very different from the original sugarful and sugarful dream which are both just bombs of sugar. This one has more complexity to it that im happy too see. The warm spicy citrus accord dominate the sweetness. I mainly smell ginger and vanilla, unfortuantely this perfumes has terrible performance so I struggle to smell much and ive had to reapply twice while writing this review because I just couldnt smell it anymore.

This is really nice! It smells like a soft gingerbread cookie with lots of vanilla frosting. It has only a mild sillage, but lasts all day. The price is reasonable and it's a lovely, calming, and familiar scent. It would make for a great gift as the bottle design is pretty and the packaging is really cute.

Very nice and warm and sugary! I gotta say I can’t really smell the ginger or pink pepper, only very sugary and a faint smell of orange, I don’t think this is as sweet as the pink (original?) sugarful, and honestly I can smell more orange in the pink one rather than this but it’s still a nice scent

To my nose this smells like a orange ginger candy with a dash of pepper. Though it only lasts 4-5 hours on me, it still has a light scent that I can still smell until it is time to re-spray. It is a nice smell and an okay perfume . I don’t think I would repurchase again.

Good strength, good sillage, gingery spicey sweet with a floral note. Really cute glass bottle!

So I had this perfume on for a day and joy of wearing it fluctuated, along with its sillage. When you first put it on, it's a very gentle and very sweet perfume, to the point where I needed to reapply it a few times on the same area to enhance the scent. It's very warm, very surgery, but not overly sugary to the point where it's overbearing. The main notes I noticed were vanilla and peony, with a hint of amber and pink pepper. The sillage differs from whether you are inside or outside, as the scent is much stronger outside than it is inside, ranging from a very moderate perfume to a very intimate perfume. Throughout the day, maybe towards the 4 or 5 hour mark of wearing it, the scent became a little overbearing and didn't smell much more than chemicals to me. After maybe the 7 or 8 hour mark, the scent began to fade into what it smelt like when I just put it on. If it wasn't for the perfume turning after a while, it would be the best little pick-me-up perfume for those cool fall days where you need warmth and sweetness

I like this because it reminds me of orange Christmas candies. Compared to my other perfumes, it is a tad synthetic, but in a way that's just youthful and fun, but not in a way that won't work on a slightly older person. I wouldn't put it under a mature label, but as someone in my 20s, this would still work on my skin. I don't reach for it often, but I do like smelling it. The lasting power, on me, is surprisingly eternal! If I spray it in the air, it will linger in the room for a long, long time, but not in an obtrusive way. Just a hint of warm, almost sticky sweetness while still feeling a bit chilled. It reminds me of winter and Christmas, but would work nicely in the fall too. I personally wouldn't reach for it in the summer, but if that's not a concern for you, go ahead. It's still a fun, youthful scent that's nice all the time. I probably wouldn't buy another bottle, just because there are other perfumes I'd get first, but I'm glad I bought this one.

I literally cannot decide how I feel about this scent! I purchased at Burlington; a great deal and I had to get it based on the notes. I love all the notes individually. However, there is something a bit sharp and metallic in this scent. I get this in a lot of fragrances (that other people love), so it could be my nose. There is a warmth & creaminess and I can detect all the notes presences, but the metallic note keeps throwing me off. I've been experimenting with layering it, but I'm not sure I'll be keeping this. I have a large and always-growing collection and I would rather this go to someone who loves it rather than continuing to try to understand it or make myself love it. Packaging is SO cute. The bottle, the box, everything. The pinnacle of cute kitsch. Am curious about trying the other Sugarfuls and other scents from this house.

Relatively sweet but the blood orange is a bit too sharp for my liking. Other Sugarful scents are much sweeter and generally more pleasant. I get peony and pink pepper and a hint of ginger. After a few hours of wear, the citrus and florals fade and the vanilla and amber deepen, but the opening is just too lackluster for me. Has minimal sillage and lasts about 6 hours. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Ariana’s Cloud Pink: sweeter, much less citrus ❌ Clean Reserve Skin: much lighter and nowhere near as citrusy ❌ MFK Baccarat Rouge Extrait: much more powdery and spicy

I got this a while ago. it's definitely. not sweet or sugary as the name suggest it's quite nice but it's very peppery. ill probably wear this more in colder weather. it's very unisex, at least on my skin. I find that if I spray it on my neck, it comes off far more masculine than if I put it on my wrist. I have a rollerball and a bottle and I'm unsure whether or not they're different batches as they smell slightly different. i suck at writing reviews so if you need anything more about it feel free to PM me

I usually love the sugarful line but this one was a bit of a miss for me. However, it would be perfect for people who like a muskier, more unisex scent. The initial spray was a really strong alcohol with a hint of vanilla, but as it dried down more of the floral and amber notes became apparent. I didn't get any of the orange, but if I get up close and really look for it, I can find a bit of sweetness Overall, not a bad perfume, just not my style.

For some reason it smelled like burnt plastic on me? I didn't really like it. But my mom loves it so she has it now and it actually smell better on her then It did on me.

I really wanted to love this, but this is definitely more masculine compared to the other Sugarfuls. It is spicy and I don’t necessarily get a powderiness - I get more of a musk 🌫️. On my skin I smell the pink pepper and amber the most. This is nice for the fall months, but I have to give this one to my boyfriend! My favorite out of the whole line is a new sugarful they released called Sweet Nothings. It’s a sweet lavender and smells very beautiful and feminine. Got compliments on that one already ( ̆ 3 ̆)♥︎ I just have to mention that if you don’t like ginger spice or musk in your fragrances then this one might not be for you at all. This is sweet but it’s still spicy and musky. Perfect for a man or if you like unisex fragrances and don’t mind the musk then this is best for colder days. Great sillage and projection. 4 hours max then re-apply (I love people to smell me so I re-apply, but I could honestly still smell it on my clothes by the 3-4 hour mark) Lasts longer and projects better on hotter days. Not extremely beast mode BUT will leave a nice scent bubble and trail. The people around you will definitely smell you and I personally get that with most Sugarfuls. For the price I don’t complain and the bottles are easy to travel with.

I sampled this on a tester strip earlier today, so I'm going off of paper and not my skin. This smells straight up like Axe body spray for men. I'm so glad I didn't apply it to my skin! Ugh, so much amber in this.

Wanted to love this, but literally only scent I've ever worn that's consistently given me jaw clenching, blinding nausea and sight-loss involved, laid up in literal bed migraines?? I'm normally a deeply gourmand, citrus-tinged, light heliotrope or rose aficionado, but this label also skewed incredibly masculine for me? Did not get grapefruit or ginger or even vanilla base notes, just SUPER loud amber in an overwhelmingly-alcohol scented matrix-- think Axe body spray, teenager in Walgreen's, gym bro at your local see-and-be-seen. Needless to say, prefer something a little more subtle, especially when my daytime professional scent needs to be more reassuring, and decidedly understated. Was hoping for toasty creamsicle with at least a spicy/ ginger-hinted pepper tooth to it, but ended up losing full work and personal days with screaming migraines both wear attempts???? Right to the trash with full size and travel rollerball-- couldn't risk leak or break waiting to trade or sell this one. YMMV??

Oh WOW...What a complete train wreck this is, thank god it evaporates quickly! Very easily the worst flanker in the Sugarful line up. The blood orange is so weird and unbalanced; Why in the world would anyone wear this over the original? 😭

Opening is very chemical (reminiscent of synthetics in old spice), and the citrus makes it astringent, but from afar the wafts it makes are intriguing and warm, sugary vanilla. The pink pepper and blood orange are too strong and burn my nose when I put my wrist up to it. The ginger-vanilla combo is nice! But the pink peony doesn't need to be there, and it's contributing to the cloying, bitter & aromatic nature of the orange here. Very sweet, and if I get any closer than 3 inches from it, it burns my nose with pepper and citrus. The sweetness throws a huge cloud, so if sillage is your thing and you love a strong sweet (and spiced) vanilla, I recommend it.

I got rid of Sugarfull (tossed in trash 2 hrs after getting it, as I could not bare a thought of ever seeing it, or smelling out of my closet). Now this one a little teeny tiny better (did not make me almost get rid of everything from my stomach), but it went to the trash can with Sugarfull. I don't know how people can smell anything delicious in both of this perfumes. No cotton candy note (still searching for "thats so raven" dupe), no vanilla nothing. Just nauseating/suffocating cloud.

It's interesting people comparing this to cloud and br540. I don't get either of those. The closest thing I can think is IL Profvmo's Vanille Bourbon. The fact this is classified as spicy is also weird because for me it's kind of like a fresh (in the minty sense but doesn't smell minty if that makes sense). I feel like this is a gourmand you could definitely get away with in the summer. They sell it at JcPenney now if you wanted to smell it!

my friend bathes in it, too sweet and smells synthetic to my nose.a juice teenage girls would probably enjoy...not the best from Michel Germain, unless you want an overdose of sweetness.she gave me a purse spray but I wont use it...anyone who wants it can have it if you pay the shipping..I am not into sweet that much.

This smells absolutely nothing like BK540, Cloud, Red Temptation or any of those. It’s not even close! Not in the same family, not cousins. No similarities at all. Anna yes I own all of them.

I totally agree this leans masculine smelling. I really don't get a sugar or spice which I was really hoping to. Pretty disappointing especially since I blind bought a full bottle.

A blood orange cloud/pink sugar combination with soft spices and amber in the long lasting dry down. An easy 10/10 for me. Wonderful Burlington blind buy at $16.99.

I’m surprised by its intensity! It’s a beautiful fragrance- first you get the fruitiness and then the spice kicks in. You don’t need many sprays of this either!

yall i like this coz it smells cheapie and it’s an ambrox BOMB. i try washing this off and all i smell is musk leftover on my skin. i love that so gd much.
