Tattoo Jungle Homme

I have the Jean Marc Paris labeled Tattoo Jungle Man. The main difference in the bottle is that cap is not engraved and Jean Marc Paris was added under the Tattoo on the scroll. It seems to have gone through a slight reformulation. The Jean Marc Paris release has this entry: top notes of "wild" basil, bergamot and clementine; middle notes of sage, gernaium and lavendar; and base notes of patchouli, sandalwood and tonka bean. It seems the melon, oakmoss and vanilla were replaced by the clementine, the sandalwood and the tonka. Not bad swaps if I do say so myself. I really get a lot of spicy citrus up top. I don't recall clementine smelling that sharp so I think that is from the basil and bergamot. In the mid, I get sage but more so lavendar in a Cuba Gold/Le Male Terrible kind of way. The base I got sandalwood and tonka bean. I did not notice the melon or oakmoss, nor did I noticed the clementine and patchouli. Gernaium is a bit weird since it has a rosy smell and this didn't give off a rosy smell but I feel it was in here. Tonka does give off sweet vanillic vibes at time. Performance considering the bottle it comes in is deceiving. Now I am not going to say Tattoo Jungle Man is a beast, but it is really a solid performer. I wore this going to bed and laid down several times with getting up (my sleep schedule was messed up due to my past week's work schedule) and within two hours, I was getting the Le Male Terrible/Cuba Gold style mid and I didn't go too heavy on the sprays. As stated I find Tattoo Jungle Man is similar to several fragrances. It does have a similarity to bay rum. It also smells very familiar if you got the original Michel Germain Tattoo. I say original, since Germain made a 2021 re-lease Tattoo with an entirely new note breakdown. As mentioned before, I really get a Le Male Terrible/Cuba Gold feel from the lavender heavy mid. I also from the way the lavender plays out, get some Dolce&Gabanna Pour Homme Intenso vibes, but this is far less dense. I loved Intenso but found it didn't work in Arizona. Tattoo Jungle Man I find does not have that issue. That said, Tattoo Jungle Man really doesn't fit the mold for being a one-to-one clone of it. So understand, me or others who comparing it to those scents is more or less saying what different parts smell like. I don't get the biker vibe another poster got, unless they wear bay rum. Tattoo Jungle Man can work daytime and nighttime in spring, summer and fall. I do not see it being dense enough to last during winter (even Arizona winter) though. Not that Tattoo Jungle Man doesn't perform, but it doesn't perform enough to work in winter. I see it as a daily-driver for casual work environments and casual. Maybe it can work for casual dates. That said it will not work dressed up (whether for work or fancy dinners) or for clubs. Performance is about six hours with a good scent cloud. Whichever house you get Tattoo Jungle Man/Homme from whether it is Michel Germain or their Jean Marc Paris sub-house, know that it is actually a quality fragrance. I am not gonna say it is a 10 out of 10, it just isn't. That said, I can't say it is horrible like many others in the similar 14.99 and under for 100ml price-point at the rack stores can be. This is on par with the better (but not God tier) Cuba offerings and so it gets a 7.6 out of 10 from me. Not unique but the scents it takes from are scents I do love and it does it in a unique way.

This fragrance can be had for $12 bucks at Tj Maxx and its way better than the price of admission. This fragrance opens with a extreme combination of melon and citrus that is tropical in nature. It has good projection and longevity. This in not your typical summer/spring scent it has lots character and is sure to be a favorite of many.

I can imagine a jungle even though I've never been to one. The melon stands out. I think the geranium too. It's like masculine fruity with hints of Tonka and vanilla. This was a blind buy and I was disappointed at first, but then it grew on me. Now I really appreciate the scent.

This smells a lot like Sexual Nights by the same house. It being one of my signature scents, I like it a lot. Laid back and fresh, but deep enough to curl up next to.

In the same ballpark as Missoni Pour Homme and D&G Intenso. I actually prefer the sweeter drydown of Jungle. For $12.99, it's a steal.
