Pop Me

It literally smells like a bucket of caramel popcorn. Very buttery and delicious! It has beautiful roasted aspect. Mouthwatering!! Really needs it in my collection. Follow me on ig: scent.guide

Popcorn is one of those snacks in everyday life that reconnect us to simple moments, yet it’s these very moments that link us to beautiful feelings and times when we smile. The soft aroma of warm, freshly popped popcorn is the star of this fragrance, evoking pleasant memories of the cinema, cozy nights at home in front of the TV, and a sense of well-being that allows us to set aside our thoughts for a while. The sweet notes further enhance the spirit of this scent, balancing everything and making it truly realistic, with an evolution that gives way to soft, vanilla-like tones. It's one of those fragrances to wear when you want to feel good, a must-have for gourmand lovers. Initial spray is photo-realistic toffee popcorn. This fades within about 90 minutes, and the “sweet notes” - reminiscent of gummy bears to me - become dominant. There are undertones of cotton candy. I like it, but it’s definitely more of a novelty than a perfume I’d wear everyday, and it does lean a touch artificial. Projects moderately, lasts around 4-5 hours on my skin.

The opening is an impressive gourmand, with different delicious flavours interacting with each other. It reminds me a lot of the Ultimate Aphrodisiac by Vivamor, with that complex oily cocoa butter accord, just more overall delicious and gourmand, and perhaps less heavy. However, after an hour or so, it becomes very woody. The beautiful gourmand notes get more quiet and then it is something between Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa'40, Velvet Chocolate by Theodoros Kalotinis and Choco Musk by Al Rehab. Still kind of nice but too woody for my personal liking. What a potty, as based on the initial hour I would have gotten a full bottle. Performance is good though.

Sadly another disappointing perfume of the “Mezzetti Trio”. Each of her perfumes (Lick Me, Pop Me, Breathe Me) smells meh. One of them is a (more expensive, but cheaper smelling) copy of Bianco Latte, the other one a rather generic freshie (Breathe Me) and then there’s this mess of a fragrance. Don’t get me wrong - I like a popcorn note! I love the fleeting popcorn note in Cirque du Soleil. There it’s just in the opening, after a couple of minute giving way to the cotton candy, airy sweet middle/ base. Where “Lick me” is the watered down version of “Bianco Latte”, “Pop Me” is the unrefined and crude version of “LOVE 6567” by PerfumeSucks. “LOVE 6567” is a photorealistic caramel popcorn fragrance, but the sweetness gets sort of lightened up with tolu balsam and musk notes. “Pop Me” doesn’t have that. It’s a sickening, static popcorn scent that you could use as room spray in a cinema, but surely not as a feel good, cozy perfume.

Oh, this is not for me. Oily popcorn with synthetic icing notes. On first spray, the butter note comes to the fore and then it calms down to caramel and pink sugar popcorn. I love a gourmand but this is too lifelike a popcorn scent for me to wear. Longevity is good...unfortunately.

I wish I could smell more sweet candy in this. All I can smell is buttered popcorn. And not like a good buttered popcorn. Like the oil has gone bad.

I loved Lick Me and bought a full bottle at first sniff, so I had high hopes for Pop Me. The popcorn note comes thru right away. It's not a sweet popcorn, it's the salty and buttery kind you pop in the microwave or get from a movie theater. And that was all she wrote. I sprayed it about an hour ago and all I smell is a faint hint of pink icing. I still think it has potential. I'm gonna let it macerate for a few weeks and revisit it.

sora dora’s jany!!!!! but trade the cinnamon apple for a general fruity candy vibe, so it’s a touch more warm weather friendly. buttery and sweet throughout, freshly popped popcorn at the start, wrapping up with an apple-less jany. i’m SO torn on picking this up, but i know it’s just way too similar — even as someone who doesn’t mind getting fragrances similar to ones already owned — and not as lasting/strong.

Kinda smells like fruity candy melted onto buttered popcorn. Did not jive with this one as much as I did Lick Me. Didn’t wow me but wasn’t horrible either. Would definitely suggest trying a sample first. Not full bottle worthy for me.

Did not like this one right out the gate. All a gross butter. The dry down was a little better but not by much. I much preferred Lick Me.

Initial spray makes me feel physically ill, but the drydown is fantastic! If that’s worth $200, this is the fragrance for you!

I liked Lick Me. I am very interested in getting a sample of this one. It looks really fun!
