Sienna Brume

This is the first fragrance I've tried from the Aussie owned Mihan Aromatics line. Sienna Brume opens with a creamy, very natural smelling coconut, and fresh juicy cucumber. I've never smelt cucumber in a fragrance before but it is delightfully fresh, bringing lightness to the coconut cream. The cucumber note fades on dry down, and we are left with a pretty linear but high quality coconut oil on light wood. I wish the cucumber lasted longer but the fragrance is still lovely enough without it. There are other notes listed in the pyramid, but I can't pick up on any of them so I won't mention them here today. Sienna Brume is a pleasant and addictive, creamy coconut fragrance for those days when you feel like wearing something a bit different but not too complex. Light enough for hotter weather, yet creamy enough for cool weather. I think I'll try to get my hands on a larger sample of it or a small bottle as it does fill a gap in my collection.

What an incredibly beautiful fragrance! I am a huge fan! Got this as a sample an I am now desperately wanting the full size! It’s the perfect way to do coconut! It’s soft but not overly creamy. There’s no harshness and it’s super fresh because of the cucumber. It is a new favourite and I’m absolutely obsessed! I would describe this as putting on a nice coconut lotion, heading out for a bush walk and then it starts to rain. Fresh, green, coconutty. Just a work of art!

The smell of warm, slightly clean sweaty, sunbaking skin. 50+ sunscreen. The cucumber reads as aloe for me, like the aloe gel you put on after getting burned. Beach cricket in the background, saltbush on the rocks behind you. It's great, but I prefer Kirra Curl for a more interesting beach take, or Warm Sands Blue Ocean for a photo-realistic beach scent.

This is so stunning! What a fantastic blend of coconut, not sickly or artificial, just amazing. Has made me so excited for Summer here in Aus!

This is a gorgeous coconut dominant scent with a tiny bit of wood at the end. The longevity is amazing. Coconut is pretty much the only thing I smell outside of some fleeting sandalwood and cedar notes that come in from time to time as the scent dries down. The coconut isn't sweet - it is a true coconut and it intensifies and concentrates as time passes. This fragrance is not particularly unique, and it's not something I could see myself wearing more than a couple times a year on the beach. There is a very distinct sunblock-sand-flip-flop vibe to this that I would be out of place elsewhere. But it's damn good if you're in the market for a coconut perfume. And having smelled Tom Ford Soleil Blanc to infinity and beyond, I can affirm that there no similarity except for the vibe. To my nose, TF is a synthetic mess in comparison; this is leaps and bounds beyond.

Aromatic and clean, it lingers like a perfect summer afternoon, cool, calm, and quietly unforgettable." i definitely get a beautiful sunscreen note - it's summer but clean, like you're inside or at bondi icebergs instead of bondi beach. maybe that's why it feels like more of a room scent to me? like a boutique shop by the beach or a house on the coast in summer where the walls are white, the parents are rich and the kids just got back from the beach. i love it but just can't connect with it as a personal fragrance.

I got a discovery pack of the Mihan range and enjoying working through their scents. I’ve said it in another post.. I must say I often find similarities to TF. I own Soleil Blanc and it’s one of my favourite summer scents. This could easily be passed for it with an uneducated nose, not saying it’s not lovely because it is - it lacks the same depth. Impressed by the sillage.

I really like this, I don't always like cucumber and find the smell quite strong, but the coconut gives it balance. However my friend had a super strong reaction to this and couldn't stop sneezing and her eyes were watering even though I'd only used one spray on my arm! That dampened my enjoyment of this a little bit haha. I would perhaps not recommend it as a blind buy.

I don’t like cucumber normally but this is nice, it’s fresh and subtle with watery coconut and a vanilla-y dry down. Doesn’t project enough for me but it lasts a decent length of time.

I tried a sample of this on my skin and I honestly don't love it. I will say that it's the first perfume I've ever smelled where I can identify every distinct note individually (I've only seriously gotten into fragrance in the past 6-8 months). It opens with the fresh cucumber, aromatic juniper berry, and spicy white pepper, but the coconut quickly overtakes. Unfortunately for me, this combination smells like rash cream, so my dislike is down to personal taste for the most part. I did appreciate the sweet warmth of the base notes, it felt almost autumnal which was a bit of a change from the top and mid. Overall, this fragrance just isn't for me but I understand how others love it.

I really wanted to like this one cos as an Aussie myself I love a good scent that evokes the beach and days of swimming and tanning, but unfortunately it just didn’t do it for me. It reminds me very aggressively of a coconut scented car freshener, and to me, it smells cheap and basically single noted, like I sprayed myself with a coconut air freshener. Not for me.

coconut baby powder if you're into that. it's way better on the dry down but still would not buy a whole bottle of it. If i had the option of no scent at all or wearing this, i'd wear this but I'd get tired of it

I have mixed feelings about this perfume. On the one hand it does smell somewhat pretty. The middle notes are strong throughout the wear and the resin adds a balmy/sunscreen quality that brings in a warmth to what could have been an overly fruity green perfume. On the other hand, to my nose, it’s very reminiscent of Diptyque’s Philosykos - perfume I don’t like. I’m glad to see it’s on the Smells Like range. I was so surprised when I looked up the notes and didn’t see fig. For that reason, I’ll be leaving this on the shelf. If you’re looking for a palm scent it’s not nearly as poorly done as Mezcal Blanca but I like it a lot less than Mixbar’s Coconut Palm.

On my skin, this develops into beautiful tropical coconut in combination with cucumber. Also due to some vanilla in the base, this makes the cucumber smell very sweet, which is something I don’t like. It reminds me on Big Sur After Rain car freshener from D.S.Durga - smells like sugared cucumber. Interesting combination, but not for me.

Oh dear, I hated this one, something very distasteful in both the application and dry down, no thank you! Mihan perfumes are wildly various, some I love but some I'm not keen on at all.

Sienna Brume by Mihan Aromatics is a beautiful, creamy coconut fragrance. I wear coconut-based fragrances quite a bit during the hotter months with Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess and Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion being just two examples of what I enjoy wearing. Sienna Brume isn't 'beachy' in any way, shape or form. It smells creamy and milky like a coconut oil-based lotion. I enjoy this clean, subdued approach and find that it works beautifully in the heat. This Australian-owned perfume brand is stocked by several stores in my area, both in perfumeries and independent clothing stores. Although I have only managed to sample Sienna Brume, the consensus is that Mihan Aromatics creates easy-to-wear, unisex and inoffensive scents. The creators, husband and wife team Joshua and Jules Mihan, took inspiration from the Australian outback, their home town of Melbourne and the pristine beaches of Australia when creating these scents. Sienna Brume is a nod to the popular Bondi Beach in Sydney, a beach I have frequented many times throughout my life. Sienna Brume is Bondi Beach in the early hours of the morning before the crowds flock to the sand. Sienna Brume is the good quality sunscreen you brought with you in your beach bag, not the sand or salt air. Sienna Brume is a mild clean fragrance on my skin. I smell a lot of creamy coconuts, cucumber, cedarwood and pepper. I don't seem to detect much in the way of the juniper berries nor the palm accord. Longevity on my skin was approximately five hours and the projection quite soft. If I ever happened to own a bottle I would admittedly reach for it sparingly as it is rare that the barometer where I live would go high enough for me to wear Sienna Brume on a regular basis.

We're all here because of Demi! This is such a unique but soft scent. It could be worn year-round for those days when you want something, but you just aren't sure. It is extremely clean, but not soapy or cottony. It's just clean and easy and smooth. I got the rollerball in the USA from FleekFellows(.com) and it arrived super fast. I originally got the 3-sample pack from Mihan in Australia and it took a long time, plus one broke. Anyway, this is a really amazing perfume if you like subtle and unique, but not weird at all. If you collect unique scents you just must try this for yourself because it isn't like much else. There is definitely coconut but it's not beachy either! XO

This was my first experience with the uncanny olfactory déjà vu of a past time and place, like a direct pipeline to the heart. Sienna Brume is my memories in Florida, where I spent my childhood and my family still resides. Mainly, this smells like sun-drenched, sunscreened, salted skin. A bit of magazine paper, a hint of sand, a squirt of coconut oil, some aloe vera from yesterday’s sunburn. Lingering in the windows of beach supply stores. Being a teenager walking on the beach alone, listening to an iPod mini. This story is less about the salty ocean atmosphere. It’s your body in the sun while you’re in a beautiful place and can appreciate it.

i like this! i'm going to get a bigger bottle. i don't think that minimalist is necessarily the word, but sienna brume [and what i've smelled of house mihan] is composed. clean, relaxed...think aesop's aesthetic or, kinda makes me think of tashi from challengers ("angelical, athletic leisure"). it starts off with the coconut and cucumber more forward, before drying down to a mostly soft-woods scent. some might read the juniper as more masc i guess. i like to layer it; it spends more time as a soft woods scent, than a coconut one, on me. longevity is ~5 hours from sample bottle
