La Prima

During a recent 50% fragrance sale I bought a bottle of La Prima and I couldn’t be more happier. It’s a gorgeous perfume, elegant, creamy and has an alluring fruity sweetness... As a white floral lover, La Prima is spectacular. Besides being a very feminine, girly, sweet and fruity jasmine/orange floral dominant perfume, it has a very strong aromatic, warm, and slightly spicy opening from the davana. On top of that, the mid and the dry down changes towards a very fruity direction, with hints of ripe fruits such as plums, peaches and apricot. It’s a truly multifaceted floral fragrance on the unique side. I would call La Prima the niche, more elevated version of fragrances like My Way or L’Interdit. While there’s not much difference between all of these when checking out the notes, the end result, the scent, it’s far more nuanced and interesting with something like this. And FPR is almost the same but with a superior packaging and bottle.

La Prima by Milano Fragranze is a rich and expressive white floral fragrance that makes a confident statement. The balsamic warmth of davana, paired with bright bergamot and spicy cardamom, sets the stage for a complex and intriguing opening. fae running through a garden full of bluebells and jasmine on a misty warm spring day. Its intoxicatingly beautiful and unique. slight lactonic touch to the white florals. Feels like a perfume the human embodiment of the moon would wear.

Nice white floral with a hint of bubble gum. It has that vintage feel, the bottle adds to that feeling. I like it a lot.

I've had my bottle of this perfume for about 2 years. So, it well macerated. First, let's be clear- the is no bubblegum anything in this perfume. But, one person says it, and suddenly that's what everyone smells. Jasmine never smells like bubblegum, but...what can you do? This is a very bombastic, davana & jasmine floral, with a hint of spice and a rich, musky animalic drydown. The vanilla is smoothing, grounding, not overly sweet. It rounds every other note out, and the drydown is lovely. I will say, this perfume has something to say, and it says it with conviction. It can be overwhelming for some. It's not at all shy. But, for those who love to turn heads, this one has tremendous throw... excellent performance...you will be noticed. This one gets SO many compliments every time I wear it. So, while I can't say it's a safe blind buy, I CAN say, this perfume is PERFECT for someone with a big personality, who loves to leave a trail as they walk through life.

Milano Fragranze La Prima is certainly the most floral-forward entry in the line that I’ve tried so far, a nectary white/yellow floral blend featuring osmanthus, orange blossom, and jasmine, along with bergamot and multiple mentions of a “pure jungle essence” of cardamom and vanilla bourbon. It does have a bit of a tropical feel, with a vague fruitiness behind the floral front, very fresh, sweet, and easily enjoyable, I’d say. It vaguely reminds me of some other fragrances but none specifically come to mind, so this is a fun one to try, for sure, even if not among my very favorites of the line so far, but I could certainly see myself wearing this in a lot of situations. La Prima, like the rest of the Milano Fragranze line, is priced at $135 for 100ml, which I continue to maintain is very reasonable, and makes for a more affordable alternative (by volume) to the Masque Milano line, which has similarly-priced bottles that are only 35ml. 7 out of 10

This is a beauty, from someone who doesn’t usually vibe with Jasmine based fragrances. The opening notes, which usually are right up my alley, were a boring introduction that made me initially thought nothing special of this. But as it dried down, and after the osmanthus subdued a little, the creamy white florals begun to truly sing. I’m pleased the Jasmine is not indolic at all. Just creamy and very elegant. Not worth a full bottle for me personally as I would barely wear it, but definitely worth exploring if this is your genre.

Lovely feminine scent, but not my style. A little too sweet. After the big bubble gum jasmine opening, the fragrance mellows— the dry down is where this fragrance shines. Although Basilica continues to be my favorite from this brand.

This is a beautiful floral fragrance. I don’t pick up any bubblegum in this. I also don’t find it to similar to My Way or L’interdit because i don’t smell any tuberose in this.

Big sweet jasmine softened with osmantus. Completely feminine without being either girly or matronly.

Apricot animalic. This is sweet and floral but the fur note that Fragrantica does not list overpowers everything. I had this on my skin for one hour until I broke down and headed for the soap and water. If you enjoy Kintsugi from the sister line Masque then this may be the fragrance for you.

This is not for me. There's a cloying nature to it that irritates me

I'm ok with floral forward perfumes but this was an overdose.

I am a white floral lover and was looking for something out of my comfort zone, which is the “fur” accord here. Initial spritz is gorgeous, spectacular. Beautiful seas of white florals. In the blink of an eye, just like a reviewer below states, something incredibly animalic overtakes this scent. As the scent progresses, the animalic note remains, mixed with an extreme woody smokiness. Same result on my boyfriend’s skin. Gorgeous bottle, currently available at a fantastic price, but not safe and does not really smell like the notes suggest. I will try to learn to appreciate this one, but only find it wearable when layered.

Bubblegum opening, definitely. A chewy, ambery bubblegum accord. Then, a clear jasmine note starts to form on top, then melts back into the yummy mixture. As much I may call this a floral, it's also equally amber on my skin, definitely not the breezy dusky jasmine affair of Cortile. La Prima is more classic in its core, yet one could also find it playful, peachy enough - there's something for every taste here, an impeccable balance, which also makes it a bit too safe in my book. If I was looking for bubblegum, I'd accordingly reach for something either more synthetic, or nastier.

This is a juicy dewy floral. Cardampm is sweetened by the bergamot . The florals follow suit but nothing heady.The most prominent floral to me is the osmanthus. Its fruity juicy aspect is pushed to the max here. Orange blossom is a dance partner to this osmanthus while jasmine is almost of minimal amount. The vanilla is not the woody one nor the stocky one. I think it just helps to push the osmanthus sweetness to one that almost candy-ish ly sweet. Almost ,but it is still a dewy osmanthus.

Not your ordinary kind of jasmine scent. I would consider it to be categorised as a "white floral"-scent but with a creamy & texture twist to it. The texture in the scent becomes kinda "bready", just like Bortnikoff's Sir Winston's where the tuberose turns "bready". Hard to describe it but I'm sure people can see the resemblance. Quite cozy scent would recommend it for someone who wants a safe and cozy scent.

Very strong bubblegum jasmine opening that settles to a softer floral bubblegum scent. I usually love white florals but this one doesn't do anything for me.

Sweet balsamic floral with a slightly apricot suede touch of Osmanthus. Elegant and easy to wear!

It's an affordable version of Amouage Honour Woman on my skin.
