Or... you know... maybe perfumers shouldn't keep jacking up their prices, creating spaces for really good dupes like this! And it really IS a very good clone of the original ( though that's not hard to do when it's only two notes). It's great on its own, and it layers really well with things like Bvlgari Pour Homme EDT or Khadlaj Karus Blu Spice, amplifying the tea note and extending its longevity. Should they have called it something different and given it a bottle that doesn't look quite so similar to the original? Sure, but don't decry companies that make good products at reasonable prices. Especially if you haven't actually tried the product. Also, I find it REALLY interesting that all of the other comments on this were posted on the same day...

Got a bottle of this after smelling a sample of the original M01+BT and loving the smell but not the price. On initial whiff it was. Bad. Chemical plus hay (ugh, do NOT like hay notes in my tea scents) and earth. Not a good opener at all. However, once it dried down it definitely resembles the original and has that Iso E super note. I'm gonna let it macerate a bit since a lot of these cheapies need it, hopefully that will calm down the opening somewhat. So I do like this fragrance, just make sure to spray it a good while before letting anyone else smells you..

I haven't smelled the original, but I am obsessed with tea in all forms. This smells like every cheap isobutyl quinoline leathery note with some soap, not tea. I don't even smell the Iso E Super. It is discordant. The mid is very bitter. In the air it is intense and a little fresh. I'll have to try the original. If you're hoping for a clean beautiful tea note accentuated with some velvety cedar, this is not it. It sucks to buy something and not like it, that's why I share my negative feedback, so others can avoid my same mistake. It's not a terrible fragrance, this is just my opinion. While I dont like the actual fragrance, I do agree with twistedbydesigns sentiments below. Maceration has to do some miracles here. Update: it smells like baby powder, some artificial black tea, and that faux leather isobutyl quinoline. It reminds me of a grandpa but not a nowadays grandpa, more like a grandpa from the 80's or 90's.

Haha how do you mess up a fragrance that only has 2 notes??? Don't get me wrong, I think the Escentric is criminally overpriced for what it is, I don't mind that a clone exists, but how do you mess that up?

Nothing against dupes, but blatantly stealing everyting is just wrong
