Taxco

Taxco is fantastic! I don't know how close it is to Tuxedo and I don't care either. I've only tried this and Winsome, but I'm open to getting Mustache or Turathi Brown. I do know Winsome is way different than Taxco. Taxco smells more floral with blatant rose note that is quite nice. I can see how someone says it's more feminine than other versions. It still smells gentleman like, but much less serious than Winsome. The nice thing about Taxco is you can get it in person at Marshalls/TJ which means you can sample it first. That is when you can find it. Taxco is a great masculine gentleman type fragrance good for anytime, but particularly good for more formal occasions. It's easy enough to find and sample, and when you find it it's very cheap.

One of the middle eastern, budget friendly I've ever had. Bought it like 5 times till now. Amazing patchouli Amber fragrance. ❤️❤️❤️

I have encountered this one in the wild a few times and the batches greatly vary. Some smell very good, some smell way off. Make sure you buy this one in person if you decide to pick up a bottle. The bottle I ended purchasing is shockingly close to Tuxedo and cost me $15. Absolutely beast mode performance too, with easy 12 hours of longevity and very loud projection. This stuff will survive multiple hand washed no problem. I prefer other frags with the same DNA, like Maison Alhambra The Tux, but this is still good for the price and the performance is huge. It leans a little more towards the feminine side of unsex compared to some other Tuxedo style frags. Not bad for the price though 8/10 If anyone wants my bottle I would be open to trades or selling really cheap, I already have a few other frags with the same DNA that I prefer.

The notes do not a progress; they are a single, chord that plays all at once. A clean patchouli and a zingy bergamot provide the cold air, while black pepper, soft rose, and a hint of white florals provide the lingering warmth on the skin. You can focus on either the warm or the cool elements at will. The base is a dry, clean whisper. A light ambergris and a non-boozy vanilla combine to create the pleasant scent of an unlit incense stick. Chatter from above comes here and there, but overall Linear. Surprisingly smells like a spicy version of Coriandre 39. This is for a winter morning. School, the office, whatever. On skin settles in 5 minutes and lasts 3-5 hours. As a dupe, it is surprisingly close. Better than the other ones.

It's fairly strong and good quality but way too floral for me. If you're looking for something similar to Tuxedo with a heavier dose of florals this is your game. For me it leans way too feminine so it's not for me. Moustache EDP or Fragrance World Suits lean more masculine. Kismet for Men is great until the late drydown, when the custard cream filling vanilla dominates over the weaker patchouli which I do not like. Winsome has this vegetal note in the opening but the drydown is great. As far as quality for price goes with Taxco this is a solid 8/10.

I picked this up for $12 at TJ Maxx, which makes it incredibly cheap, but it smells far more refined than you’d expect at that price. Milestone Taxco is a great little hidden gem for anyone who enjoys simple, pretty floral scents without spending a lot. I mainly get notes of roses and tea, which give it a soft, elegant feel. It’s light enough that it doesn’t come across as overly heavy or intensely Middle Eastern, but it still has good presence. On me, it’s strong enough to last 6+ hours, which is impressive for something this affordable.

While I'm not the best at describing fragrances. I can say without a doubt that this frag is great. Is it perfect? No.... but does it still smell great? yes The opening is very, very floral; you definitely smell the rose instantly, and it is very prominent. In the opening, I would say it leads slightly towards feminine, but in the dry down, you still get the rose and other nice florals, but it works its way back to a unisex floral fragrance. If you can find this in your local rack store, it is definitely worth the 15$
