Oh, ooOoh ...oh

Juniper is a hard note to pin down in perfumery, whether it be wood or berry. Here, I've run into one of the more accurate depictions, crisp and sappy, bitter and fresh. This is accented with a bitter orange that brings out the naturally citric quality of juniper, further highlighted by herbaceous mugwort. All of the piquant, dry woodiness is spared from the heavy handedness of Iso E Super: it's here, but it's just a pinch. As the opening simmers down I smell sprigs of thyme imbued with a subtle trace of smoke, and sticky sap grows more resinous and musky. A-ha! Cistus absolute, its sweet, vegetal funk a smell to behold, ingeniously carrying the juniper into the dry down. There's the crunchy aroma of walnut and a whiff of flaxen grasses, and then most of the herbal grassiness slowly vanishes and what's left a slightest creosote phantom remains. The name is goofy, but I'll forgive that.

Juniper, a hint of smoke, musky green aromatics and woods (with a ghost orange in the background). All very delicately blended, nothing harsh, sharp or that jumps out. Just a delightful blend, leaning masculine. Performance is overall moderate, making it an ideal scent for a senistive professional setting. Full retail price might be a bit exaggerated, but it sometimes shows up on ebay for a decent one. The comparisons with Terre d'Hermes do not make any sense. If anything, it somewhat (remotely) reminds me of Voyage d'Hermes, and plays in the same ballpark as FM French Lover and L'Eau Bleue d'Issey, but is not similar to the latter two, and way softer/muskier than these. One a the only acquisitions I made on my last trip to Paris.

Mist, Wood, Wind and Guitar! oh, oh, oh...! This is my second purchase of this brand, I was curious to try it since it has been mentioned that is similar to Terre d'Hermes, lets be candid: there are similarities, but I believe this is mostly airy and windy in opposite of terre being earthy! in start I smell herbals with strong wood that I love so much, following by some musky and smokey accords come and make it clean and lovelier, and then you feel freshness, almost like this perfume starts from thebase... usual perfume pyramid! this reminds me of American country movies, dry nature with all horses and CACTUS... I give 9.5/10... the mark down is just because I dont feel like a 10 yet...

This starts off very green, herbal and aromatic. After about an hour a lovely rich smoky, woody scent comes through; I can definitely get the leather, mixed with the woods and smoke. It’s balanced beautifully - to me this smells sophisticated and expensive. A great example of a unisex (albeit more masculine) woody aromatic. I’m working my through the Miller et Bertaux sample set and I’m finding almost all the fragrances to be really nuanced, well-balanced and intriguing. But - and it is a big but - both the sillage and longevity on every scent is very low. I feel like they have so much potential but I don’t want to spend $200+ on a fragrance that only lasts 2 hours.

This was my first try from this brand and there I was, so into their poetic names and feeling natural and friendly ... I was roaming around their scent and figuerd ok I have to know more about them, so I googled up and found out it is somehow related to Terre d,Hermes... Im absolutely disagreed, Terre is perfect I love it but it is too different,,, i feel like this is the PERFUME OF MOTHER EARTH ;D ... I was happy to pay only 90$ for this UNIQUE scent and enjoy it all weekends cause I am not gonna waste this DREAMY scent on any work days. Ready to EXPLORE MORE from this brand

من اصلا فکر نمی کنم شبیه تق هرمس باشه هرچند شباهت هایی وجود داره... به نظر من تق هرمس یک عطر کاملا مردونه ست ولی این عطر کاملا بدون جنسیته... تق هرمس البته عطر فوق العاده ای هستش ولی من این رو چون خیلی راحت تر قابل استفاده هست ترجیح میدم... بسیار شاداب و سبز، چوب خیلی لطیف، مثل جنگل های سرخ و نم خورده چوب سدر به راحتی قابل تشخیص هست که این عطر رو خیلی خواستنی تر و به دل نشین تر میکنه و احساس امنیت و گرمی به من میده... قیمت خیلی خوب برای یک برند نیش و کیفیت قابل قبولی داره... من مجموعا بهش 8.5 میدم

Smoky incense with juniper and cedar, slight talcum powder scent in the opening. Slightly citrus background, but mainly smoky wood. I don't get the people who say it's a dupe for Terre d'Hermes as that's far more in your face orange and citrus. It leans more masculine, but as a woman this smells amazing on me; way better than it did on the man who gave me his bottle. I adore it, a great shoulder season (spring/autumn) scent.

This is so fresh and bright; I would call it a happy fragrance. I have seen the comparisons to Terre d'Hermes but I didn't like that and couldn't wear it. It also smelled too masculine for me. I think the bit of leather and woods give it a medium weight. It's not flying off my skin like a summer citrus but it's neither a winter heavy one. Love it!

Bitter orange spicy complex woody earthy smoky (The halfway point between Declaration EDT and Fou d'Absinthe) I have actually owned and worn Oooh for the last 5 years or so, and just realise I may have unintentionally gatekept it. It is one of the few fragrances I wear purely for myself, not because of it being too strange or niche to wear out (not at all), but rather what i wear when i have a day off, where all thoughts or preconceptions fade away and i just want something i get a lot of fun out of. It falls broadly in the category of transparent Elena-like bitter orange compositions (Declaration EDT, Bigarade Cologne), entering peppery slightly salty flinty transparent territory and a deliciously multilayered woody composition in the back, layers of juniper, cedar, vetiver, patchouli, some oakmoss substitute, the lightest touch of musty smoky leathery soot-like precipitate. Running parallel is this stunningly cool and damp mossy herbal crushed forest floor scent. It unexpectedly reminds me of another favorite, AP Fou d'Absinthe in the way it mixes dry woods with spicy edge and damp cool green herbal notes, without falling into any particular genre stereotype. Its conceptually a simple citrus woody masculine, but what i love about it is that it carries none of the edgy pretense hyper-refined obsession of the more stuck up boutique style houses, while still feeling well arranged and palatable. Its like a gate way into a fantasy abandoned bitter orange orchard clearing in the night time, unruly green vegetation mingling with dry citrus peel hung over the snuffed embers and cedar logs. Love it!

OOO opens with deep orange, a glass of British dry gin and American cedar. The juniper note carries into the heart, as woods become heavier, smokier and warmer. The heart is lightly herbal and green. A new note of leather appears. I smell a smokey, rounded vetiver after a couple of hours after juniper fades. Woods become more austere, with incense qualities in the dry-down. Performance is average. Durability is average, though the projection is soft. Overall, OOO is a rather neat scent which is a little more approachable compared with other American folk scents like the offerings from DS & Durga. Likeable, a niche scent of herbs and woods. Well worth sampling.

Excellent concoction off woods smoke, labdanum and light tangy citrus. The leather helps ease the transaction of both the woods and artemisia. The results of a musky base over green woods, works well but does get a little bitter towards the dry down. It's tiring to hear people say a fragrance smells like Terre just because the notes carry citrus and woods. These two smell nothing alike.

from the notes i had expected this to be more dark and oppressive but to me its actually rather light and fresh. immediately you are blasted with the orange that drowns out all other notes but they begin to come through as it dries. it lasts forever on me, and overall i like it despite it being not quite what i was hoping for

To me, it smells EXACTLY like Terre d'Hermes. I don't get much juniper at all, unfortunately. That would've saved this, for me. I just detect a simple orange/cedar combination, which isn't great enough for me to spend an arm and a leg to buy this.

First Impression is very good. The artemisia and herbal notes mixed with the woody and musky heart really set this apart. It reminds me of a very well curated boutique hotel, clean and inviting, yet nuanced and inviting you to explore more. Nothing heavy handed or cheap here. Not that similar to TDH, but I can see where comparisons come from in the opening, with it's trace of bitter orange and the woody components, especially sniffed up close. In the air, ooOoh has more airy/watery green herbal freshness and is more dynamic for it. It continues to quickly come into it's own, bringing less sweetness, and somehow a simultaneous dewy watery green, mixing with dry, gentle smoked wood. Oh, ooOoh= earth, wind, water, and fire Terre D'hermes= earth, fire Performance may be a bit softer, but I prefer this one to TDH by far. TDH leans solidly masculine, but Oh, ooOoh exists outside of gender conforms, as it just smells good, fresh, natural and light with some earthy substance underneath. I think the appeal transcends categorization and extends to anyone who likes light, herbal woodsiness with a refreshing feel and polite sillage. Gone is the oxford button down feel of TDH, this is more lived in shirt flowing in some lakeside forest breeze. This reminds me actually a bit of Lalique Equus, although Equus opens punchier in it's juniper and cedar notes and lacks the simple refinement of the Miller Bertaux, which has pros and cons on both sides. Equus feels a bit more boisterous, while this is more soft spoken. Overall, really happy to have picked this up for under $75, and am looking forward to exploring more from Miller et Bertaux. The bottle and aesthetics of the house match the scents from what I can tell; simple, refined, yet differentiated in a way that doesn't shout "We're so different!" (as long as you overlook the stick tied to the box in a bow, which is the only thing about the Miller et Bertaux experience which you could call Extra).

Very natural, aromatic, sappy-sour wood. I like the grassy fresh herbal quality. Bitter orange comes through most noticeably alongside the juniper. It's pleasently smooth and liquid, with a humid warmth buried in the base notes. I get a light muskiness there, where I imagine a bit of clean sweat mixed with laquered wood and muddled greens. It all comes together very harmoniously, with bits of natural smoke, cedar, some resinous qualities. I think MaxMellows is on-point with their association to Lalique's Equus down below, but this is indeed quieter and more minimal. (I wish I had more to say about the redwood/mahogany note they share but I'm not familiar with it). It could be a little thin for some, but I like these translucent, delicate woody aromas a lot. I don't actually pick up any vetiver so I wouldn't jump to Terre d'Hermes as a first similarity, but I think the smoke, bitter orange, and sharp woods are leading people there which makes sense. edit: bought a decant, didn't end up liking the sour, sweaty character that lingered the entire day. It's unique, but that herbal resin and smoked, lacquered wood note just wasn't very fresh and had one too many oddities for me.

YUM! Somehow this scent comes across as both playful and joyful to start--it's not just the name. Very fresh and green. A little mouth-watering, but also a little soapy. The woodsy-ness is very mellow but still the star of the show. I've actually hiked through the California redwoods and sequoias--this is a terrific snapshot of how it smells. After a few minutes, it mellows into a very cultivated, bonsai garden spa version of its forest smells. Cedar is the strongest note on me, but with a great supporting cast. It's definitely masculine. I picture a good-looking, dark-haired guy wearing this fresh out of the shower and lounging...maybe with a guitar, as per the descriptive poem on Aedes.

Oh ooOoh is accurate! I've been really impressed with this Miller et Bertaux line. Sometimes you look at notes and think nope, not my note (Juniper) but then realize you may just have never had a good quality perfume with that note in it. This is incredibly good, the herbal aspects are there but doesn't remind you of your last gin hangover, just a nice, sublte piney woodsy resinous creation. Even the artemisia which often does not sit well with my nose adds just enough of that bitter nuance to add value to this scent. Very refined and top quality notes - no wonder it's so expensive.
