Coeur de Jardin

Coeur de Jardin is a delightful fruity floral, with an effervescent quality to it, that I wasn't expecting but really enjoy 😊 Upon first spray all the fruit notes are present before the bergamot and lemon make way for the jasmine, tuberose and a not too sweet vanilla. The pear and peach stay in the foreground, while the floral notes dance around, mingling with the citruses, moss, amber and a whisper of soft patchouli. This is delicious at this time of year, evoking the feeling of being in a sunny summer garden, happily sitting care free under fruit trees, sipping a bellini 😋 It will really shine in the spring and summer. What I really love about Miller Harris florals and fruit fragrances, is how fresh and natural they are. So while this is sweet, it's a natural sweetnesss, that retains its freshness and doesn't become overwhelming. Moderate longevity that leaves a delicious trail. The scarf I had on when I first wore this a couple of days ago, is still scented with Coeur de Jardin. This beauty of a scent was created by Lyn Harris is 2015.

A friend gave this to me At first spray, the smell is mixed with floral and pear notes, enough not to be offended like the usual fruity note that I always thought too synthetic. Maybe its the rose and tuberose top note that made me stop and smell my wrist a few times as im a sucker whenever they're around. This does not remind me of AG Petite Cherie although the similar note stated here, the pear here is less whereas PC is enormous. What remind me of in the dry down (2-3 hours) after wearing it is Ralph Lauren Romance, before the formulation (yet to try the new re-formulation) . Not bad. lasting power for me is not that long, 4 hours, on the wrist, but silage for me is great, work better if the scale balance no? for the price of Miller Harris charges I think you should try romance first? First day of trying this and since I've got it for free, I am really content with the perfume in overall. Would I buy it? Lets just say if there is a choice of other Miller Harris to choose from, will gladly pass this one.

This is a very interesting fragrance. Its quite strong, and a bit confusing. Pear is very noticeable. I've really grown to like it and have been complimented many times wearing it. I would definitely get a second bottle, the first sadly finished.. I actually think this is one of my favorite fragrances, when you wear it regularly it just grows on you as it is such a high quality. It does turn heads, I think once or twice I have been stopped on the street what is it I'm wearing.. I once have been in a queue and a guy behind me, in the queue said, oh what perfume do you wear, it smells amazing. This is a magical potion, be warned ;0)

Perfectly tuned harmony of pear fizzy cider, patchouli and musk. The shady garden of various fruit trees, the patchouli and wet grass covered with the dew, and the warm rays of the sunshine breaking through. The scent is not boring, not sticky sweet, but is quite persisting and sparkling. Plays beautifully on the hair with every move or the wind blow. Lovely fragrance for summer days!

That sparkling Champagne like opening!! My goodness.. it was love at first sniff. 😍 It settles to a very pleasant fruity floral which makes it inoffensive and very wearable (Jo Malone - English Pear & Freesia like). Perfect as a wedding guest fragrance 🥰🥂☀️

This is a typical sweet and floral fruit fragrance with beautiful pear notes and musky powdery undertones. It's lovely but I did not find it unique and I gifted mine. I agree that it slightly remind people of champagne.

It’s actually a really nice chypre fragrance with fizzy and fruity opening: sweet and sour peaches with a hint of champagne. It’s light and lovely. Would be perfect for a hot summer day.

Coeur de Jardins is a nice, easy going fruity floral. I wouldn't call this a chypre, well not in the old school sense anyway. There is a bit of moss in the dry down but it is very minimal. This is more a basic light, pretty fruity floral that is easy to wear in hot weather. Pear, peach and citruses open up the composition and lead into a nice light floral bouquet that is made up mostly of a soft jasmine and a clean light pink rose. As it dries down a nice light mossy characteristic shows up. It smells very natural but clean nature. Nature controlled by the hand of man. Like a well-cared for orchard by a lovely well-maintained garden. This is the type of perfume to have on hand for the office, for weddings, summer picnics w/ friends. I would wear this to church as well. No one would be offended by this pretty fruity floral. Clean, slightly sweet, fresh, fruity, floral w/ a hint of moss and sweet vanilla. Edit: My husband really likes this perfume, so I decided to buy a bottle. He says it smells like a summertime version of Hiram Green's Shangri La. He is perceptive. It does. Coeur de Jardin is lighter and sweeter, and they are both chypre's. Although Shangri La is more of the old school variety, Coeur de Jardin is the new variety. I got a great price on a full bottle on fragrancenet.com . Considering some of Miller Harris's newer scents it is probably wise to pick up some of these older ones while we can. I tried several of the newer perfumes today and was not impressed.

This is possibly the oddest scent that I’ve tried and enjoyed so far. It smells absolutely nothing like what I imagined it would, much earthier and more herbal, and it’s definitely nice but I can’t quite decide whether I like it or love it, and whether it’s something I’d actually wear. First off I think I wish the pear was stronger. When I very first spray it there’s this tantalising waft of pear that seems to disappear almost immediately. On me, it’s then very patchouli-forward, and I don’t usually want to smell like patchouli since I associate it with (perfectly lovely) hippie shops. But then this patchouli is a nice one, and in context, especially as the florals begin to appear, reads ‘earthy flowerbed’ rather than ‘musty back room’. It’s convincingly a garden scent rather than a fruit scent, so fruit lovers should heed the name of the fragrance! As it develops, it reminds me a little bit of the smell of making elderflower wine the few times I’ve done that - like fermenting, slightly alcoholic florals. The question is, do I want to smell like a slightly sweet, slightly fruity, slightly floral, elderflower wine-reminiscent patch of earth? And the jury is still a bit out on that one. 100% worth a sample though - it’s very unique.

It is very lovely. Reminds me a tiny bit of Balenciagas Rosa Botanica with its light, bright rose on a fresh background - in the case of Coeur de Jardin this to me is mostly bergamot, lemon & patchouli. Its well blended without giving one note too much prominence, and overall very fresh without becoming just a floral citrus fragrance. There is a zest and uplift to this one, making it perfect for summer and guaranteed to lift your mood. I’m not sure why this would be classified as a chypre, its not oakmoss or patchouli dominated and there is a certain amount of sweetness from the florals and listed fruity notes (which to me are hard to pick up by themselves from the blend - perhaps a hint of pear). Overall, I really like it - but not quite as much as Rosa Botanica, which is a stroke of genius. Still, this one is still available.

Very very floral. The tuberose, jasmine, rose is PROMINENT. The opening is like flower oil and fruit nectar being poured on you. Not in a bad way. But its very ib your face. The dry down calms it down a bit with the indolic white florals and the rose really the main accord. Hours inx it becomes a little more calm and earthy. The moss and orris root balancing out the earlier floral and sweet fruit explosion. It smells VERY natural and organic. I cant tell if this is an "old lady" scent or women in general but withour a doubt, this is feminine. I cant imagine a man wearing this, unless it was layering. I like it, on a woman it would be very welcoming and attractive. The sillage is good but better for more open areas, may feel choking in close office setting. Longevity is really good. Definitely a warm weather fragrance.

The opening is completely unfortunate. For some reason, I smell like a gin and tonic for the first 30 minutes to the point where I feel a bit nauseas and hungover. For another 30 minutes after that, the scent of alcohol is uncomfortably palpable, as if I had partied way too much the night before and the excess alcohol is emanating from my pores. For me, this is bad memories in bottle. Thankfully, after about an hour, the booziness gives way to a rather pleasant fruit-tinged fresh floral....and a conundrum. Where have I encountered this scent before? Could it be Miss Dior Cherie (old version) minus the popcorn note? Overall, not my favorite from Miller Harris, but pleasant enough for summer if I can get over hangover.

One of the least aromatic of the Miller Harris Line. It starts off bright, fruity, and fizzy. Doing a blind test, solely based off of the name, it’s a bit jarring, as it’s not at all what I expected. The opening though has since grown on me and is my favorite part, it’s like the smell of cheap peach flavored champagne and I like it. After about 15-20 minutes the fizziness wears off and it becomes a floral flat peach champagne. I like this part ok, but the opening was more enjoyable, brighter. At this stage it sits fairly close to the skin, radiating maybe a foot. It lasts a couple of hours on my skin (which admittedly sucks up fragrance with abandon). I like this fragrance, but it’s not a love for me.

Lovely well executed chypre floral scent. This is one of the few fragrances where I really experience each stage of development. The opening is quite fruity and sweet, with strong pear and peach notes. After about an hour it develops into a sweet white floral, predominantly jasmine and vanilla. And then after about three hours the patchouli and moss come through quite strongly. Before I got to the base notes I thought it was just another fruity floral but that patchouli and moss really give it an unexpected earthy, chypre character. Because of that I actually find it quite hard to decide if I love this or just like it; each stage is so different it feels like two or three perfumes in one.

Sweet and joyful fragrance that opens with pear and peach. Kind of herbal/medicinal(?), it kinda reminds me of tiger balm but more mild and sweeter. Dries down into a fresher(minty-ish) honey water with hints of musk.

A sweeter Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia with greater lasting power.

Reminds me of sparkling wine but doesn’t last long. I think it would be good for warmer days if you’re going to a day time event and don’t want to overpower people. Quite a crisp scent.

Making this review to remind myself that it smells like a very light prosecco. Wear in hot weather as it's useless in the cold.

It smells like you are standing in an english garden with a glass of champagne in your hand!

I heard of this new brand in my local department store and tried this one out randomly. I'm afraid I picked the worst one from this new line of fragrances, this is just terrible. Bitterly white floral and weirdly sweet at the same time. I hope the other perfumes by Miller Harris are better.

Coeur de Jardin by Miller Harris blends floral, musky, and fruity notes, and it is too heavily on sweetness, resulting in an overly euphoric profile that can be overwhelming.

Headache inducing. I thought I would love it because I love florals but no. Too strong.

Checked this out at an airport duty free and thought it was awful ! sickly sweet.

Smells like nail polish w white flowers.

Sparkling this, fizzing that...the only way this scent resembles champagne is that it gives me a headache. Maybe it's my nose or my skin, but this smells, cheap, one-note and cloying. I recently bought a tester as I was really excited by the ingredients list and the reviews I read online. I find this scent quite aggressively zesty. There is a no texture to it. no subtlety, no evolution; I just get a very inorganic assault of citrus and white toilet bleach florals from first spray. It dries down to a nose-itching and cloying powder, which clashes rather than complements with the fruity freshness. I suppose it has good staying power as I sprayed it on my wrists, neck, and jumper this morning at 8am and it's still irritating my nose now at 2pm. If I focus hard and sniff I can just about catch some of the tuberose/jasmine, but it's mostly just that spiky, cloying peach/citrus top note. I've never been able to discern the patchouli, musk or amber. I'd be pleased with this scent if it was a body wash - for the duration of a shower the cheap and cheerful floral fragrance would feel feminine, uplifting and energising and could be worn under other scents well - but for a £100 perfume, it's annoying.

Gorgeous! On first spray, you get the fruity blast of pear and peach with the lemon and bergamot which appears a bit strong but it doesn’t last, the dry down is what you want so give it a chance. So delicate and innocent smelling. Truly feminine, enticing and pretty I think you can get away with wearing this at any age. It smells very well made - not cheap. It’s a lingering pretty waft that lures you in. It wreaks of class and is a bit addictive. Men and women will want to know you because you smell so good.

It starts out fruity with pear and peach, but patchouli comes forward - just a bit to keep the fruit from being to sweet - but not enough to subdue the joyful effervescence that the lemon, bergamot, rose, and jasmine lend to this. It also has tuberose, amber, vanilla, and a bit of iris to smooth it out a bit, but again, not too much. It's still bubbly and kind of reminds me of the wine coolers I was somehow getting my hands on in the early '80s.

I found this quite odd. Initially I got a fermented pear, like somebody had spilled pear cider on my arm. Fizzy, sickly-sweet and not terribly pleasant. The dry down is a pungent, realistic jasmine which jars with the overripe pear. This doesn’t work for me at all. It felt almost ‘sticky’ and stale on my skin. Nope!

I get a effervescent pear, then a ton of wet flowers. As with every HM fragrance, it dissipates on me way too quickly. This is fresh and summery and lovely for a young woman, but it honestly goes away too quickly, so, again, not worth the price tag. Reminds me of Balenciaga B perfume.

This is so sparkling! it opens with a juicy pear and bright fresh fizzy peach and citrus. Then some green notes and rose, white florals...some musk. The iris and patchouli are soft. It feels like you are eating a ripe pear in a beautiful garden. Lovely and uplifting.

This was a blind by because of the resemblance to the original Miss Dior Cherie which some mentioned. I was not disappointed, this is a lovely fragrance, even better then MD.

This is a beautiful and very unusual perfume, it does however remind my of something I may have worn in the 80’s, can’t for the life of me think what it was...
