Cologne 1888

I would classify this as an ethereal beauty. it truly is a heavenly composition of fragrance, a lemony soft wonderfully airy fragrance. it is truly a marvelous scent and can definitely pick up other notes. I look forward to wearing this. easily unisex, but if you just want to smell wonderfully clean and fresh, this will give you that in spades. I had read so much about this scent, it was hard to find, so after researching it.i emailed (after a bit of searching & found) [email protected] , they still have the formula for this and will make it for you, Caroline is a very nice person, loved her accent, elegant and kind, helpful and patient.I called her and spoke with her, she actually was the one that bottled the fragrance for me, put it in is this wonderful glass bottle (standard mh) with the cologne 1888 etched into it. 1888 came in this beautiful miller harris box.+ some samples. Fed exed to me. A bit of a expensive acquisition. but worth it for me. I was so glad they still had the formula for it. I can smell why so many people have loved this fragrance. I could have opted for a smaller bottle but ordered the larger bottle and glad I did as my wife loves this scent as well. I think for spring and summer it would be hard to find a better scent and I cannot think of anything more I have that I like better in a citrus aromatic. 1888 is one truly special fragrance. DEFINITELY IN MY TOP TEN FAVORITES..

Spa Scent with Smoky Herbs & Citruses... I just have some hotel products of this, but I love the smoky, aromatic citrus. Definitely a spa-scent vibe with smoky citrus. This isn't a dupe of anything I've tested, but the smokiness reminds me of Orange Flower Oscar de la Renta, and the citrus-herbal vibes remind me a little of Moustache Original 1949 Rochas. The caraway-basil provide a nice accent that catches in the midst of all that smoky-herby-citrus, along with something like aniseed. (I weirdly get a Nicorette Gum notes as well, but maybe I'm imagining it). Refreshing & relaxing at the same time. This is an elevated, versatile, unisex herbal-citrus spa-scent that I would definitely wear. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

I too have been on an exhausting and fruitless search to purchase this fabulous scent. It seems like a very serious marketing error for both Fairmont Hotels and Miller Harris, for it not to be available to the public. I stayed at the Savoy in London and this fragrance brings back that lovely experience everytime I smell it. Now I am rationing the miniature hotel bottles....ridiculous! Please help us!!!!

Okay, this indescribable fragrance sent me on a relentless chase to find this product. I recently stayed at The Fairmont Hotel in Copley Plaza Boston, where I experienced my first amazing taste of "Cologne 1888." Sadly, I found that it is not possible to purchase this unique item. We only have access to it by staying in suites at The Fairmont Hotels!!! Ugh. Why in the world would the genius perfumers at Miller Harris give us a teaser of this addicting scent, only to say that we cannot buy it anywhere?! What a horrible trick! The shampoo is unlike anything I have ever used. The heavenly scent lingers on the hair to enjoy through the entire day. For those who love vintage clothing, ambiance and niceties, you will love stepping back in time with Cologne 1888. (However, you'll have to stay at a Fairmont Hotel to find it.)
