Hydra Figue

A clean unisex freshie with a summer/beachy/solar/marine accord. Never quite turns into sunscreen, stays more clean and aquatic. I get sandalwood, ginger, citrus, and everything else feels well blended to make a unique scent. Slightly spicy and exotic feeling, definitely does the marine vibe better and more realistically than many perfumes I’ve tried. I get a touch of fig that somewhat feels a bit coconutty. I can’t pick out the tuberose (I’m a big tuberose fan) but it just feels like a gentle addition to balance and round out the scent. The composition as a whole makes me feel like I just showered at an exclusive exotic hotel with expensive fancy soap —clean and fresh with a spicy zest. Blended smoothly without any screechy notes. Smells expensive and good quality. Ingredients don’t feel cheap or synthetic. Projects very well, a couple of test sprays on my arm formed a 3-foot scent bubble I could smell strong and clear. Seems to last. I could smell it for hours until I showered. Also seems like it would be a nice out of the shower daytime fragrance that you can layer other scents over at night. Overall much nicer than I expected. I got a free mini spray as a gift with purchase. I never tried anything from this label before and it wasn’t on my radar. I actually really like this. It feels like it would be perfect for the intense summer heat. Update: This scent lasts an eternity on clothing. I wore it one evening for a few hours after a shower, and put away my clothes as I hadn’t worn them enough to warrant a wash. I could smell this on my sweater from a couple feet away for over a week. I kept wondering what smelled so good every time I passed it. I bought a FB of the biggest size they make. Full price. Worth it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for weeks after using my sample. I plan to buy multiple backups once my bank account recovers from my last shopping binge. Absolute love.

Testing Hydra Fig from a 2 ml official Miller Harris sample. First impression: Unexpected love. And unique. And complex. And multilayered. And that’s coming from a person who is not a fig lover. I love marine, aquatic scents, like some of the woody and salty scents, and love a creamy, sandalwood based perfume. Hydra Fig is unique and unusual but in a very good way. Smells very different than the plethora of fragrances on the market but it’s not going too far in a niche direction to become difficult or off putting like some niche brands do their perfumes. This scent is inspired by one of the Greek island, Hydra, and I can see the inspiration source reflected well in the juice. It is beautifully made with a creamy sweet fig (fruit not fig leaves), some unique (to me) notes, floral, aromatic and aquatic/oceanic elements. The result is a very cohesive juice, reminiscent of how the air smells on the Mediterranean coastline. A juxtaposition of sweet and salty nuances, resulting into an addictive aroma! Would go well, laying on a beach in the sunshine, with a colourful cocktail in hand. On my to buy list for my next holiday in the South of Europe. Will update about performance in the next few days. Edit: it’s not a beast of a perfume, but compared to most other Miller Harris fragrances at same price point (not comparing it to the most expensive lines), Hydra Figue has great longevity, around 8-10 hours and a stronger sillage for the first two hours or so.

I was very excited to try this new perfume from MH because fig is one of my favourite notes and I really enjoy wearing salty marine fragrances in Summer. Despite its name, this isn't a fig dominant scent. Therefore, don't be scared of Hydra Figue if you're not a fan of this note. The fragrance opens up with a blast of fresh, juicy fig and zingy citrus fruits. Shortly thereafter, the fig note steps back and the marine accord takes over, supported by the subtle aroma of sage leaf and refreshing sea salt, which adds a mineral touch to the composition. The salty marine accord extends throughhout the life of the perfume, whilst the fig note stays hidden in the background. In the drydown the scent becomes slightly masculine-leaning. The woody notes at the base add depth & warmth to the fragrance and together with ambroxan provide a long-lasting wearing experience. Velvet musk smooths out the whole composition. I am impressed with the longevity of this freshie! It lasts on my skin for about 10 hours and creates a nice scent bubble with moderate projection for the first 3-4 hours. Hydra Figue is one of the most realistic (and the most pleasant) marine fragrances I know. The notes are blended in here to perfection. It's like a blast of salty sea air - refreshing and very relaxing. FB definitely on my wish list!

I love this fragrance. Yes it's "beachy" and "aquatic" but on a completely OTHER level...i do get the ouzo notes in the beginning and through–an airy sweetness–blended smoothly with the ginger and the saffron. I don't find any one note takes the lead here but they blend in this beautiful sophisticated aromatic feeling....I get wood notes, dried wood, stone, sun on stone, (I live in Greece, so yesssss) the fig note for me is hovering, not sweet, nor juicy or jammy, but green and dry and to me an epiphany. The woods are sun baked and salted, I'm on the shore, the sea in the air...this perfume takes me on a journey every time and I am enjoying it so very much. I do love woody dry scents and sea and salt scents, and this is not mineral-y or cucumber-y sea or coconut-y beach in that way we all know those fragrances to be. It's clean (sure, expensive spa-like clean) and aromatic and to me so intriguing. There is smooth spice in the air, earthiness but not musty. Again, not one of these notes overwhelms. Even the bottle looks and feels like heavy sun and sea washed stone. I'm so glad I have it!

I have had a 100ml bottle of this in my collection for over a week, having responded to the pre-launch email from Miller Harris UK inviting me to buy it early. Also, this is the 31st Miller Harris fragrance within my growing collection, all except two being 100ml in size. So, nobody can say that I am not a respectful Miller Harris fan. Upon initial application on the back of my hand, one immediately detects a fresh citrusy marine accord with a hint of wood in the background that rapidly dries into a pleasant floral aquatic scent that projects about 12 inches or so. This fragrance then gradually died down and lingered on my skin for some time & I could still smell it on the back of my hand for several hours after the initial application. Overall, a light, clean-smelling, summer borderline unisex scent & would make an excellent addition for those looking for something of that nature.

Let me start that I love this perfume. The scent notes made me nervous at first. But the cute blue bottle persuaded me to order the fragrance anyway. What a good choice. It's woody and spicy. But the tuberose and ouzo provide the freshness this perfume needs. It makes the scent sparkling and cheerful. The fragrance somehow reminds me of Philosykos and Parisian Musc. Where Philosykos is a household name and Parisian Musc a charming and chic perfume, Hydra Figue is the cheerful crazy little sister. Why I choose this one over the other two mentioned? The sparkling and refreshing what is summer needed. This brand also has a big plus; namely that they are completely cruelty-free. Which, unfortunately and to great shame, Diptyque and Matière Première are not.

I was fortunate to make a brief trip to Hydra this summer; I also got hold of a sample before I went. This is not sweet fig. This is much greener. For me, the most marked notes are the marine, woody notes underpinning the initial salty citrus blast. I have now purchased a full bottle and am really enjoying the olfactive memories (and aural ones, listening to Leonard Cohen who lived sporadically in Hydra) back in rainy London. This is one of the most distinctive perfumes I have worn recently. My summer perfumes tend to be either fresh citrus (e.g. O de Lancome) or salty, coconut vanillas (Bronze Goddess and Vanilla Vibes) but this marine, salty, woody vibe offers a welcome, if rather melancholy, change.

Hydra Figue opens with a wooooosh of aquatic, salty freshness, almost like when you step in the ocean and get knocked over by a wave, tinged with bright citrus and a little hint of anise (I almost feel like I get watermelon in the opening?), and then settles with a slight creamy sweetness underneath. It's refreshing, bright, but long-lasting as the beach day moves from playing in the surf to settling back on a clean, sunwarmed towel to enjoy a sweet picnic. To me this fragrance conjures a day on the isle of Hydra beautifully, from the tang of marine saltiness and fresh air to the slight decadence of the fig. A truly unisex and unique scent that would be at home with the island's community of artists.

This was by far my favourite in the set. True to its name, it opens with a watery, salty marine atmosphere; calm, contemplative, melancholic, like the sea on a rainy, windless day. It instantly transported me back to the Aegean coastlines of my childhood. The composition weaves in dry woody notes, a touch of citrus, and those faint coastal spices that feel right at home in this setting. The fig never reads fruity or leafy to me; if anything, it leans toward the idea of the tree itself. I love this one more each time I wear it. It’s a refreshing marine, slightly salty and beachy fig with woody notes. Soothing and a great unisex fragrance. I took it on holiday and have also worn it to the office as it’s noticeable without being loud and lasts all day on my skin (not many do on me). This one’s been in high rotation since I got it just over a month ago. It’s summer here now but I’m sure I’ll be craving it in cooler weather too - it’s an evocative fragrance and has that wonderful ability to transport you to warmer, coastal days.

I will be wearing this all summer long, I'm not sure about the categorisation of this fragrance, it is definitely not warm spicy. It's rather clean and fresh with woody and floral tones. The tuberose and ouzo create this creamy floral facet on my skin that I just love. Also the Ouzo is not in the heart notes, it's in the top, Fragrantica always seem to miss something :D Give it a try if you're looking for a woody fresh aquatic fragrance with something extra, not just your typical aquatic.

Transportive: you’re sipping fancy region-specific liqueur on a yacht in a beautiful ocean bay. There’s sandalwood & mellow fig, salt, a hint of that Sea Funk, and smooth well-blended spice/citrus. To me, the spice (saffron/cardamom/ouzo anise) makes it special and differentiates it from other summery figs. Cooling, uplifting, and expensive-smelling. Absolutely carefree. I think a White Lotus leading lady would wear this on her vacation.

A masterpiece. This is full of personality, an explosion of evolving spices, citrus and fig with an oceanic, uplifting yet enveloping presence. It smells devine, and it's also a very innocent smell, there's a creaminess to it that instead of making it sensual makes it comforting to me. A very original take on an oceanic fragrance. Gorgeous. More for summer, but I'm going to wear it all winter too, I love it so much.

I always try and buy new perfumes when travelling. I tried this one in april 2025 in Toulouse, France and since then i ve been thinking about buying it. It s december and now i finally ordered it without smelling it again. Although it s more of a summer fragrance in my opinion, im wearing it daily! It s sooo smooth and milky and fresh. I def smell the salt and fig!

I love marine scents and I love fig so I had high hopes for this, and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a beautiful fresh, salty, slightly herbal, figgy summertime scent. It smells like sunset after a day at the beach, with salt sticking to your skin, flowers and fruits ripe and blooming, a slight oak smell lingering. Perfection.

Like lazing on a beach with salt water still in your hair and a fresh breeze brushing your skin. Creamy, woody, airy. Hydra Figue was my first ever perfume purchase (at 22 no less). Love how it reminds me of the smell of fig leaves in my garden, and of my cat (Figgy).

Super mesmerizing!! Its a creamy very green kind of coconut-ish fig with marine accents. Slight hints of lavender on my skin. Really really nice!! The opening and dry down are not too different for me, just a tad bit greener.

Very green and fresh opening. Green Fig(leaf). Very interesting and relaxing Summer Vibe!. Very smooth well crafted. It reminds me a little of the discontinued Python from Trussardi, Although that one is less potent.

This fig fragrance is sexy and of a very good quality niche perfume, no bs, just an honest opinion from someone who collects fragrances, especially niche, for years.

Took a sample to try, especially fig smell which I fall in love with. I like rich bouquet of notes, nothing to complain about, but I wish it would more plume🙂

Fig and salt. Reminds me of Mugler’s Womanity - though this is deeper, better and more complex. But definitely no reason to get both.

This was my first ever blind buy months ago... and let's just say I haven't (hopefully will never) blind buy since lol. Upon first smelling and spraying the fragrance, I get a lot of the ginger (and lemon/bergamot) note, reminiscent of what I associate with more masculine scents. However, the fig and marine notes come through, sweetening the fragrance and smells very salty. Eventually, it settles into a more common woody note on me. It's a very unisex fragrance to me because of the journey it takes, and it makes me feel as if I'm sweating at the beach. Some days I love it, some days I'm so-so. Nevertheless, it’s very interesting to me. I'm glad to have and experience it while it lasts, but I will likely not repurchase.

This perfume is very pleasant. When first sprayed it smells very sweet, I can smell the fig, but it also smells like coconut is present. Coupled with the marine notes and salt, it has a very beachy vibe. When I smell it closely, I can pick up some of the aromatic notes, like sage as well as ginger and some woodiness. I’m surprised at how well this performs. I’ve worn it since very early this morning, touching it up just once, and now it’s late in the evening. I do wish I could smell some ouzo, I have fond memories of watching it go from clear to milky white while drinking it in Greece. Anyway, this is a nice perfume to sample in the summer!

Salty! Green! Jammy! Creamy! I blind bought a full bottle of this and am so glad I did. One of the most complex in my collection, it is such an immersive experience. It instantly transports me somewhere with hot sand, salty air, and the most beautifully tranquil atmosphere. Not to mention it lasts all day on the skin and practically forever on fabric. Sometimes I can still smell it on shirts I have washed, but I don't mind. This has to be my (second) favorite in my collection. Midnight Rain on TOP!

I like this but it should be called hydra ginger, I love fig and you get more spice, sage and salt with dominant aquatic notes. I think this would smell so good on a man. This does lean masculine to me. Yes, I 100% agree with others this would make a better candle. I was really excited for this but it’s not quite what I thought it’d be. If you love fig then it might be better to stick to Philosykos, but definitely do sample this, this might be your guy.

Its lovely, fresh, to me mostly calone (aquatic), ambroxan and sweet musks, with a dash of bergamot and hint of sage. Very cooling and fresh, without becoming masculine or harsh. I don’t get a lot of fig nor (thankfully) ginger. Its more just a very fresh and successful aquatic. Contemporary reiteration of the early 90s aquatics. I might get a full bottle of this.

Really interesting summer fragrance - a VERY salty opening, softening to a warm, inviting and fruity drydown. It really lives up to the brief of Greek islands and I can see it being a lovely holiday fragrance. As with all MH fragrances, the blending is beautiful and subtle - they feel like very classy compositions.

Ladies and gentleman, I present you my favorite marine fig fragrance! Wow, what a surprise! I tried a ton of fig and salty fragrances and this one is by far the winner! It is sweet, salty, fruity, light but still present. It is exotic, fresh, exciting and relaxing. Unisex, amazing for warm weather. I want a FB!

I like it, best part was the opening. I also like how oak puts salt on the back seat in drydown. I wouldn’t wear it in summer though. Someone said it smells like eggs, I can see it goes in that direction in heat. I’d rather wear it in soring or on cooler days

Kind of reminds me of Hollister Jake if anyone remembers that fragrance. Some days I absolutely love this, sometimes I feel so-so about it. Overall it's a strong like for me!

Smells like realistic sea breeze on a windy july day. Very nice, the fig is not too much here, everything is balanced just right. Great stuff for the summer!

A thoughtfully crafted oceanic fig fragrance that opens stunningly—a refreshing burst of jammy and salty fig paired with subtle spices, sour cocktails and crisp marine notes. Like standing by the sea with the scent of ripe figs in the air, fig leaves breezing by. This coastal vibe remains a common theme as the fragrance settles, blending green facets with a sweet richness that gives the fig more gourmand depth. However, the saffron I am able to distinctly pick out here reads a bit too heavy. While it adds warmth, it slightly disrupts the smooth, airy quality of the scent, making it feel denser than expected. The oceanic accords are still pleasantly present here, to my delight, offering its little bit of Mediterranean oasis. Smooth yet sprinkled with minerals, its salty air permeates the sandalwood base with sandy invigoration, creating an almost coconut-y, savoury creaminess that blends most cohesively with the tantalising fig. I really expected to love this til the end, but the drydown is where this, quite tragically, lost me. The ambroxan and musk become increasingly prominent, creating a hot, synthetic edge that feels disconnected from the fresh, vibrant opening. Along with crescendoing indoles presumably stemming from the tuberose and saffron, what began as a light, sun-soaked fig by the sea dries down into one dehydrated and immensely spiced —heavy, overwhelming. Ambroxan overkill. Its moments of brilliance in the opening, are pulled in a darker direction that doesn’t much match the refreshing Greek island it sought to pay homage to. A nuanced scent, one I wish it had stayed true to its airy, oceanic fig heart.

Based on a sample from the MH boutique in Covent Garden. You can buy samples, which is unusual for most perfume houses. You get the fig leaf and marine note up front. Then the faintest whiff of Halfeti type woodiness in the drydown, sat alongside a lingering dusty sweetness. This would suit a subtle person who likes to smell 'nice' but doesnt want to announce their presence/persona with their perfume. But if you prefer subtlety and sticking with Miller Harris, I'd steer towards Rose Silence, subtle yes, but a gorgeous scent with it. 2.5/5

This has a pretty clear island aura to it, a fresh breeze of fruits.. woods in the background.. although if you told me that tuberose was a note in this fragrance, I wouldn’t know. I don’t pick up any notes of tuberose at all. The florals are far more quiet compared to the fruits, the aromatics, and the woods. This was a pleasant fragrance to smell and experience, but I won’t be getting a full bottle of it.

First impressions: This is anything but an "idyll" scent. It's yankee candle, bath and body works concentrated, and busy. It's not bad, but the complexity here leans heavy handed. Less of a symphony and more school band practice. The notes themselves are nice, this perfume includes so many of my favorites, but there's too much competition. Nothing shines

Super strong - I love miller Harris and I like the scent of this but even two sprays gives me a headache so it’s too overwhelming for me. It smells like a spa....a heavily scented one.

At first, it’s an elegant, marine, spa-like scent, but that initial sophistication is very short-lived. It rapidly dries down into a synthetic, ambroxan-heavy musky scent—quite masculine-leaning and, frankly, annoying. It’s not meant for winter wear, yet in summer it becomes stiflingly obnoxious due to its chemical nature.

It doesn't feel like a proper fig fragrance at all. It's salty, woody, and herbal, with the smallest hint of fig. And honestly, it smells cheap and synthetic, like Fig Man from Carner. I tried it at their Covent Garden shop in London, and it's a huge pass for me.

Blind bought this based on description and I didn’t like it at all; it’s very aquatic. My daughter said she could smell fig but I couldn’t. It lasted pretty long even after shower; my daughter and I wished we could get it off immediately.

Opens with calm, salty-marine notes reminiscent of a high end spa. But after 15 minutes it turns into a jumbled chemical tuberose-sandalwood monstrosity that will give you a migraine.

I found the initial opening puzzling and slightly jarring - the citrus and possibly the saltiness seemed in conflict on my skin. But it mellowed down to the most beautiful, rich scent. I keep smelling my wrist hours after applying it and I’m have ordered a bottle. It is a cloud of buttery smooth warmth. Update: I have now worn this for three days and I love it so much. I no longer notice the initial jarring note at all - perhaps it was a freak of something else. To me this is the most relaxed, warm, mellow scent - meandering across the island. It’s not brash or obtrusive. It smells slightly honeyed but isn’t too sweet. I love it so much. I respray it every now and then just for the pure pleasure of going back through the journey of it again - the ginger saltiness in the opening, the sunny fig of the middle notes and a slight dusty warmth of the base. It makes me so happy in myself - I can’t describe it - sorry for the effusion.

If you like an airy, green fig profile without the powdery note from Philosykos EDT, this one's for you. If not, this one might still be for you. Hydra Figue is a crowd pleaser at home everywhere from the beach day you want to the weekend shift you actually have. Top notes have a snapped-stem freshness about them and blend well with the fig-and-a-little-calone heart of the scent. Florals are hard for me to disentangle from the blend-- this is, overall, fruit and its torn skin and water. Base notes are almost imperceptible, but I sense the oak's influence. Something this synthetic could easily scan like Febreze, but HF just doesn't. It's like a breath of fresh air from some stylized fig world waiting for you on the other side of whatever you're slogging through now.

Simple, clean, lovely, creamy, salty and ultimately relaxing. I love it! The combination of fig and salt seem like they wouldn't go together but they DO! so well. an unexpectedly pleasing perfume recipe. Nice comfortable projection and long lasting, 8+ hours. It was like walking on along the island shore midday. The midday sun warms your skin. The brand new raffia hat keeps your head cool. the pearlescent white sand cools your feet as the waves gently lap the sand. Your brand new tiny bikini still wet and salty from a dip in the ocean is hidden by a cool gauzy summer cover-up. The air cools your skin and the sweet smell of light florals and fig fills your senses.

To me it is actually a great summer fragrance. It doesn't fall in any particular category - it is not aquatic but has marine tones, not flowery, not woody but really refreshing, chic and clean, 'out of the shower' vibe. Thank God not a trace of fig in it because I am really fed up with it. They are always two types of figs in perfumes either sticky sweet representing the real fruit or green as Philosykos, representing the leaves - quite boring and predictable. Good that the fig is only in the name.

This is soooo underrated ohmigash. It opens fresh, then settles in very green for a little while. I'm not into fresh and certainly not into green perfumes but this one I can't get enough of it is soooo good. It makes me feel like I'm Italy, in a beautiful old village seaside town. The skies are blue and its those early days of summer. There are fruit trees everywhere and I'm skipping around town with flowers in my hair. Tried a sample and purchased this one + Peau Santal right away.

Honeyed roasted fig with marine accords and fresh spices. It smells very familiar though. There is a very comforting lactonic milky aspect to it, almost like Drop D’Issey which has almond milk in it. This is becoming a summer staple for me. While I could not stand the fresh green summer fig of Wander through the Parks mixed with nettle, I really like this one. Edit: I will add by saying that there is a slightly melancholic but calming aspect to this fragrance.

Has such a modern 2020s smell. It’s a saltier, sweaty little brother of Acqua di Parma’s Fico di Amalfi. Up top it is in a pleasant shower gel space like Le Labo Matcha 26 shower gel - not a dupe or anything, but similar vibe. I think lots of people would enjoy it for casual summer days. Salty musky skin, lemon, fig, woods- definitely beachy and sweaty sweet. One thing that keeps me from buying it is the dry down, which I don’t care for.
