Mìneir

Very nice scent, very emotion inspiring. Paints a picture of a sandy beach, cold waters, driftwood, cold confireous treeline. I FEEL like I am there if I close my eyes and breathe it in. Few scents for me evoke such a strong photorealism. The only other one to really make it feel so real is L'eau Bleue de Issey. The mint and eucalyptus with airy seawater notes really brings it together. Its calming and fresh, VERY crisp. Not biting but its crisp cool air vibe. It bears some note similarity to Every Storm A Serenade (Imaginary Authours). Mineir is better in that it is more airy, less broody and ESAS has a bit of a "dental astringent" quality whereas Mineir smells more minty/cool menthol. It settles into a diftwood-cashmere accord all while keeping that fresh salty air accord. The patchouli and moss really makes it feel "real" and anchors the entire scent from being overly fresh or "shower gel"(i dont get any of that like others have mentioned). Im really not sure why the hate on this one. Im not one for aquatics at all and summer freshies in general. But Mineir is definitely a perfect example of a "Teal" fragrance composition. This and Bleue de Issey are remarkable and photorealistic to me. The downside is this is moderate longevity. I could care less about sillage in any perfume. Its definitively unisex and absolutely a vesatile 4 season, night or day, office friendly perfume. I find most aquatics extremely generic. Hence my love for Teals. Mineir is definitely on my want list. You may need to be a bit more spray heavy to get a good enveloping scent cloud, but its worth it.

I really enjoy the freshness I get from this perfume. First spray is very green but give it a minute and its a beautiful fresh aqua scent that lingers so well in the heat.

I was very intrigued when I’ve read the description notes for the release of Mineir. I have never sampled or smelled something that has “mountain air” as a perfume note. How did they extract that to bottle it into a perfume it’s beyond me. Might be very well a gimmick as far as I’m concerned... Anyway, about Mineir. It’s an interesting scent. Outside of my usual scent profile for sure. I definitely like it and don’t own anything remotely similar to Mineir. It smells like a very soft, smooth cashmeran focused perfume surrounded with cool mint, sweet, white flowers and a salty accent. I don’t get from this any eucalyptus, papyrus, sage or cardamom. I can maybe see how this would have something like myrrh and cedar because despite being a very ozonic, fresh scent, feels very warm and cozy. I really appreciate in Mineir the contrast between the air/ozonic/fresh facets and warm/amber/resinous ones. As a conclusion, I like Mineir but I am not convinced that it’s worth the high price. Or that is has anything in it anything close to “mountain air”. For real now, is that even possible??? If anyone knows more about this topic, air formulated into a perfume note/accord, please share it with me, cause I’m quite ignorant on this.

I recently picked up a few samples after eyeing Miller Harris for a few years. I adore slightly offbeat oceanic scents, so really looked forward to giving Minier a sniff. My initial impression when spraying on paper was disappointing: it smelled generic, muddled, and boring. I quickly dismissed the sample in favor of the others in my package. So imagine my surprise when I decided to spritz a bit on my wrists before going out to run errands: there was the fragrance I was expecting! A cold, bright sea breeze rustling through green dune grass on a base of driftwood, but all of this through a refined, classic lens that I can only really describe as "perfumy," in that it isn't a photorealistic scent by any means, but a perfumer's interpretation of the scene. This is an elegant take on a chilly seascape, much brighter and less brooding than something like Oud Minerale (which I also adore).

Lots of naysayers in the comments but imho opinion this is an extremely wearable pleasant fragrance. Does it kinda smell like body wash? Ya. But in the best kind of way. Is it super original? No not really. If you smell this on someone would you be turned off? Doubtful. Every fragrance doesn’t need to a 12-hour marathon oud-stank projection beast. I feel like this is office safe, gym safe, wear-to-bed safe. The guy that wears this doesn’t need a ton of attention. He’s clean, he smells fresh, he cares about his appearance but doesn’t care if you notice, he loves his golden retriever...kind of vibes. To sum up: clean, masc, green, fresh (in an outdoorsy kind of way), soft, gentle, inoffensive, and kind.

Fresh, aromatic and somewhat aquatic. It has a bit of cooling, minty and metallic undertones which I don’t like much but in general it’s a nice summertime scent for gens I think.

This is a more wearable megamare

Feels very much like something you can smell in about 100 different green fragrances. Enjoyable but nothing special, especially for the price.

This review is based on a free sample kindly sent directly to me from Miller Harris UK. It is also my least favourite of Miller Harris's two latest unexpected releases. With Mineir, the offputting opening instantly reminded me of dozens of similar unpleasant fragrances I have smelt. It disheartened me with its top-heavy sage and cardamom, with a hint of eucalyptus and green grass. Unfortunately, this initial off-putting array of notes lingers through to the dry-down and gradually weakens to a degree. It is then joined by a distinct salty note mixed with a woody background. The projection could be more robust, too. I can also detect the mossy note bleed through towards the end of its life. I classify Mineir as a more feminine fragrance, which I disapprove of. However, I suspect others will undoubtedly have a more positive experience of Mineir. Sorry, it's not for me, though!

Goes from moderately priced blue men's body wash into some kind of generic candle that's probably called "ocean breeze" in the drawdown. I personally can't stomach paying over a hundred dollars for something that smells so much like soap.

This perfume smells like the cologne so many guys at nightclubs completely overdo. But when you layer it with Terre d’Hermès, it turns into eerily spot-on, quite feminine black liquorice.

Munéir evokes the synthetic aroma of old fashioned hair spray that induces headache. It also evokes the experience of desperately trying to find a present in a crowded department store before store closes, smelling too much perfume, and after being suffocated by scent, leaving empty handed only to endure a crowded bus journey home and long dark walk from bus stop in the pouring rain, with perfume headache, desperate for the bathroom.

first day on a testing strip: terrible. Piercing ozonic chemical aroma reminding me of cheap mall scents from the 2000s, locker room body sprays, or the smell of chlorine in a public pool. upon the second try: the first few minutes on skin have some kind of funky white floral, herbal thing going on. A little more interesting. Skin cancels out some of the sharpness. I do actually get some resemblance to Montabaco's fresh, complex warmth and muddled aquatic woodiness. The cashmeran and indolic floral edge almost give a tobacco impression, but it's not fully trying to do that. Unfortunately the chemical harshness remains central to everything and so does my disdain for it. I don't really get any papyrus or myrrh but it is mossy. Overall I feel like Miller Harris is trying to break into a more modern taste market with these three releases- you have an herbal "blue" scent, a gourmand, and a rose-oud...seems kind of low-effort?

Opens with an icy breeze, which is almost immediately wrapped up in the warmth of a slight patchouli woollen wrap. Just as might be the case if standing at the edge of a westerly Scottish Hebriddean island. You could reach for this Emilie Bouge creation as a stoic determined 'freshie' on a dark winter morning when you need to focus. But then again, perhaps dont reach for that clean crisp shirt, there is something playful beyond the icy aquatic salt spray perhaps a velvety salted caramel. That said, this isn't a gourmand there is more of a sage herbal note, these newer fragrances are quite distinct from the Scherzo, Soufflot moment. Miller Harris calls these the 'Stories' collection, but alongside Hydra Figue, they could equally be experienced as the Islands collection!

This opens up with sugary spun candy Baccarat Rouge DNA with a blue masculine cologne element, and an ozonic marine note emerges as it dries down where you definitely get that mint and eucalyptus. Definitely not unique for the price.

Miller Harris is usually a big hit, no matter what with me, but this one wasn't it. It's giving, drugstore men's liquid body wash. 🥲 I was hoping for something.... Different.
