Myrica Muse

I had managed my expectations on this one, as I couldn’t find any fragrances listed to be similar to it (after blind buying of course 💀). It’s really good, like very good. I got it at a 10th of the price, second hand so I was going to be okay with it, if it flopped. But it hasn’t. It has a gorgeous opening, and middle. It’s not as tropical fruity as Lamar by Kajal but the fruity, rosiness of both is quite similar. This is also where the rum comes in, but it doesn’t last very long. The settles with a subtle musk, more than a vanillic sweetness for me. But there is some sweetness for sure. I’m a guy, and I have plenty of excitement for this one especially since we are basically in springtime now. Nice!

I Remember entering the store in Covent Garden on the hunt of Hydra Figue (still a great parfum!). Then the assistant made me try also different ones, including Myrica Muse. All the most beautiful, uplifting emotions met me at once. I decided to get a discovery kit to keep trying it and couldn't stop smelling it and being the happiest doing so. It's berrish but not like a blast of bubblegum.. rather smelling the fresh fruits in a rose garden on a warm summer day. Also my grandad had plenty bayberry trees and it is so nostalgic to me. The fruitness is elegantly balanced by the rose and rum. To sum it up: i love it. Price/quality great

A very nice rose opening that didn't last as long as I would have liked. Despite that small drawback, I enjoyed this fragrance. On my skin, the most prominent note was the sandalwood, which I love. However, the fruit and floral notes gave it a bit of sweetness that's lovely without being overwhelming. Overall, for me it was a sweet, spicy, woody fragrance that sits closer to the skin than I had hoped but is otherwise divine.

Yum! Rich fruity boozy goodness! 😍 It has some celeb/designer sensibilities to the scent profile but is done in a more refined and niche way. Definitely worth a try. I expected a sickly strawberry but got more of a delicious rich berryness with vanilla rum undertones. Nice and complex. Would totally purchase a bottle for date nights and cold evenings 🥰💕

This is a unique and elegant fruity fragrance. I love wearing it, it really uplifts my mood. The only downside is its performance. Both longevity and projection are lacking. But I don't mind it here, since I love the experience wearing it. It does need a lot of touch ups, so I'm happy I got a 100ml bottle.

Newbie here, so please be gentle with me! I was intrigued by this when I received the pre-launch early preview access email inviting me to buy early at the end of August. It was a risky blind purchase of a 100ml bottle for a straight male like me, especially as the top notes appeared feminine. However, after the initial fleeting strong blast of strawberry sorbet, it settles into a perfect unisex scent. Excellent longevity in the dry down, as I could smell this on my arm after testing for hours after the initial application. I like sweet fruity floral notes in a fragrance like this compared to some of those other macho man leather/woody scents available elsewhere. Having spent a small fortune on virtually the entire Miller Harris line this past year (including some discontinued items during their summer sale), I welcome this fine new edition. Indeed, as stated below by @OctavianWho, the right notes are: Top Notes: Strawberry, Bayberry, Pink Pepper, Tangerine. Heart Notes: Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Patchouli, Rose, Rum. Lasting Impressions: Benzoin, Musk, Amber, Sandalwood, Vanilla.

A nice fragrance, soft enough for my liking, an ordinary day! Some say they think this is for winter, but I don’t agree. At least not only for winter! Today is the first warmer day after a couple of weeks with very windy weather. I have just had a shower now before lunch, and I have tried on my new perfume on my wrists and behind my ears, wearing a summer dress. Have made myself some coffee and two sandwiches with cheese. And I feel very relaxed as I breathe in this lovely fragrance. I am at home i my garden, but I almost feel like I’m out in town, at a café. Soon my husband will come home, and we will make some more coffee. And I will ask him how he likes my new fragrance!! I got it in my mailbox with the early morning delivery. I read that it has sandalwood, and yes, but I certainly sense that it has cedar, too! I clearly get that ”pencilshavings” feeling - which is very positive for me! Like childhood memories, like when I was with my aunt in her classroom, where she used to teach. And roses, softly.

Testing Myrica Muse from a 2 ml Miller Harris official sample. I love the opening soo much, has such a beautiful fruity, sweet, creamy, with a bit of citrusy start but it dries down quickly to a skin scent. If that delightful opening would last longer and the fragrance overall would be more intense and long lasting I would get instantly a bottle. Don’t get much of the notes listed, like for instance, where’s the patchouli, the jasmine or the lily of the valley??? All I get, and that briefly, are the strawberries, myrica, the tangerines, the rose, faint traces of rum, musk and vanilla. I personally feel that it wasn’t put enough effort into creating Myrica Muse and I am disappointed with that... To be truthful to my personal taste, scent wise, I love Myrica Muse way more than I love Hydra Figue, but the lasting power on this one is really underwhelming. And for the price, I need more.

Ok so I bought 2 miller Harris fragrances as I have just bagged a new job and needed more appropriate perfumes for office work So my First impressions to me this has a very sweet synthetic strawberry , but that soon disappeared , I do get a very slight bitter rum note but not to overpowering, then ,The drydown it’s just floral musky. To me at this moment in time I think this would be an easy reach for an everyday fragrance, it’s not offensive or to complex In my opinion Unisex: I find this leaned very feminine on my skin Longevity and sillage: this has a fair scent bubble and I found it lasted about 4 maybe 5 hours before I had reapplied for a little too up Uniqueness: honestly I don’t think this is unique pat all however I’m not mad about it ,it is a very pleasant

Slightly spicy strawberry rose. This perfume is pretty, but it doesn’t wow me. It also doesn’t have the best longevity. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind smelling like Myrica Muse, but I find it kind of boring. Earlier today I tested Secret Gardenia from Miller Harris and it is so so gorgeous, that’s probably why I’m just like meh with this, because that one was great. Anyway, if you want a simple spicy strawberry rose perfume, this is a great choice, but apparently not for me, because that’s Secret Gardenia.

Wonderful strawberry scent! Feminine and girly without smelling too young or sugary. The sweet patchouli/strawberry combo reminds me a lot of Estee Lauder Pleasures Delight, which I already own, so I won't be springing for a bottle of Myrica Muse, but it is lovely and playful but not juvenile or too gourmand. There are enough supporting notes to make this feel more like a strawberry in the wild, complete with bushes and vines, not just cream and sugar.

I was confused as to why I was getting a buttery floral musk until I checked the Miller Harris website for the actual notes, like OctavianWho said below. Strawberry dissipates quickly and I’m left with mostly jasmine and musk. A disappointing sample for me

Opens strobg with strawberry, dries down into a softer more linear sweet scent. Its a rather fresh leaning fragrance. Doesn't last long on my skin though

I’ve never been super interested in the brand but I was given a sample of this perfume at a store and when I read the notes I was actually super excited - a boozy strawberry? That’s something I’ve never tried before. So I’m very sad to say this is one the most underwhelming scents I’ve ever tried. It’s just boring, smells like a standard fresh slightly fruity perfume, I’d bet there are 20$ perfumes that can both outperform and be more interesting in the realm of something close to this. I just don’t see a reason to invest in Myrica, I’m sure the brands has much more exciting profiles to offer.

Strawberries and roses; this smells like the colour pink. A very girly yet unadventurous fruity floral. I find this unexciting and slightly reminiscent of hand soap in a way that is a little jarring. I wish I could detect the rum note. Lacking in creativity and with quiet performance.

It’s an inoffensive fruity perfume. It sits close to the skin and doesn’t last long. There are so many wonderful notes listed but sadly Myrica Muse doesn’t display them at their full potential.

Myrica Muse is a rosy, strawberry confectionary, clean laundry scent. I am not sure why Fragrantica does not show the Jasmine and lily of the valley notes. Jasmine, lily of the valley and musk are the middle notes of this fragrance, which denote a laundry-type smell--laundry mixed with an artificial strawberry scent and a rosy scent. Myrica Muse--A sweet, gourmand, floral, fruity scent with a "laundry clean" essence--VERY feminine, a girly girl scent, but don't take my word for it. For any fragrance, read reviews before buying it, but take them with a grain of salt. Everyone has their own opinion regarding smells. Some people love a specific fragrance. Some people hate it. My advice is for you to get a sample of ANY fragrance before you ever buy it. That way, you can assess it yourself and have your own thoughts rather than strictly going off someone else's thoughts and opinions. So, do not let my opinion influence you.

You know when one mixes many beautiful colours only to end up with brown...I don't feel the notes are lifting each other up here, it feels damp and muted in essence. The fruit is underneath something heavy, barely alive. I love everything here on it's own but the mix is not working. I don't get any strawberry, sadly. Sour patchouli which is the worst combo if you ask me.
