Rêverie de Bergamote

The opening is very invigorating. Strong bergamot and zesty citrus with a strong herbal note. I immediately smelt the caraway. That licorice like accord with the herbs and citrus is so amazing to me. Its so crisp and just hits the olfactories just right with the caraway. One of my favorite openings ive smelt in a perfume. The dry down loses the initial cirtrus blast and settles into a winderful herbaceous earthy accord . The patchouli, lavendar and rosemary really take the stage. The Bergamot plays lovelt with the lavendar, such a cool, refreshing bridge. A few hours in, the moss and sandalwood gives a rich creamy earthy base, with a dry vetiver. From start to finish, the begamot, caraway, rosemary, lavender and patchouli are always with you. I was expecting a serious summer citrus freshie given its name. The first 5-10 minutes it is for sure. But it becomes a smooth, herbal spice with cool properties. It reminds me of a floral tinged Old Spice. I would bathe in this stuff! 😍 This has to be one of the most alluring scents ive experienced. Miller Harris has the most amazing perfumists. They create such captivating scents. The sillage is moderate but has a nice longevity. I cannot wait to get a bottle of this.

I'm actually surprised at some of these negative reviews, I don't usually love bergamot-heavy fragrances but I find it so smooth and refreshing here. Different folks, different noses I guess. It's not quite for me but I would love to smell this on my husband (I know fragrance doesn't have "gender" but it has the profile of the type of "freshie" that is usually marketed to men...I think this would smell lovely on anyone though). I don't love leather, vetiver, or patchouli either, but all the notes seem to balance each other out. I'm testing this on a colder day but I think this will smell even better on a warmer Spring/Summer day, as it evokes images of clear blue skies on a bright sunny day.

This one definitely grows on you - a beautiful wash of warm, herbal goodness. The bergamot note takes centre stage but the surrounding composition is sunny, blurry and earthy. Like a rural Italian spa. Reasonable longevity and sillage - I personally thought it would be an ideal unisex choice although I can see it is harsher and earthier than most "feminine" summer scents.

As a man, i like the bergamont and dry opening with the lavender. The patchouli througout the mid is lovely The sandelwood makes this shine in the end. I think its very smoorh composition like other Miller Harris. Love Etui Noir. My wife loves Scherzo and i love it on her.

Superb. A beautiful rich blast of citrussy sunshine that the colour of its packaging well represents. As to people's comparisons with toilet cleaner or cleaning fluid, when hasn't a citrus fragrance been compared to that. Decent longevity. Beautiful. Lives up to it's name!

Rêverie de Bergamote is less about the fresh and airy side of bergamot we’re used to in most perfumes, and more celebrates the rich and rindy dirtiness of the citrus fruit. Vibrant bursts of bergamot are joined by gentle hints of rindy orange and green, herbal additions of basil, artemisia, rosemary and lavender. From here a rich and heady geranium adds to the array of sharp citruses and herbs, before settling into an aromatic and leathery base. I pick up a subtle hint of cumin, which seems to have been used just to elevate the dirty rindy nature of the bergamot. A base of earthy Vetiver and patchouli are joined by moss and woods to create a gorgeously masculine base. This is a scent which I really enjoyed discovering, it takes you on a journey and offers up a different take to bergamot which we usually don’t get to see in most perfumes. If you’re a true lover of bergamot this is a must try.

A refreshing yet earthy citrus scent. The middle notes definitely help move this fragrance away from bathroom cleaner that seems to dog this accord. The perfume reminds me of petrichor, like I’m standing among the citrus trees. The only slight negative is that I find this fragrance more on the masculine side of unisex which isn’t my style. A lovely scent but just not on me.

I must write something to give this perfume more credit than it gets. This is not the fresh and juicy bergamot people expect. It is very dry and therefore almost dusty. That in mind before testing you can maybe see it for what it is; a wonderfully elegant fragrance.

This is very beautiful, creamy citrus, lavender and herbs, wonderful... Unfortunately it smells too masculine on me, I love unisex fragrances, but Rêverie de Bergamote doesn't smell "universal" enough for me to be able to pull it off.

Doesn't work with my skin. At the beginning it reminded me of Terre Eau Tres Fraiche but soon there's a floral aspect on my skin and it's kind of sharp so I don't like it. Good fragrance but it's not for me. I wish is citrus woody but not the case. Maybe it's Lavander but I could swear there are some other floral notes in here. Also something cloying like musk but I'm not sure what is it that bothers me so and it is very sweet.

I greatly appreciate the MH fragrances ; but according to me, the promise is not kept and I'm so disappointed. No sparkling citrus, no bergamot... if not a little bitterness... and for the rest, it’s just a slightly dark lavender, very natural, but a lavender is not a juicy and greedy citrus.

My initial reaction is one of recognition: it is one of those herbal citrus fragrances with a slightly lactonic base. Sometimes described as the smell of the Mediterranean coast. It has a quite fresh and almost minty edge. Pleasant for summer.

This to me smells like a female version of Terre d'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche. I could swear there is some flower that is not listed, something like Mimosa or Elderflower/Sambucus. It's nice just not for me but the performance is very good.

Gosh, my experience is very different. I find this smells chemical and cheap. Bergamot? Basil? Lavender? Oak moss???? Where????? On my skin there is no reverie at all, just an indistinct citrus smell with a rather piercing aroma chemical underneath it. Briney, piney and minty. A bit like Sea Breeze toilet freshener if I'm honest.....Aqua Allegoria here I come!

Smells like an expensive, luxurious, quaint hotel bathroom in Mayfair London.

I got a generous sample vial in an exploration kit and was curious to try it, as it has so many notes.. this sounded interesting. Looking at the bottle and name, I expected a sunny burst of freshness. But... yuk!!! This is cheap citrus toilet freshener mixed with an old lady’s heavy floral perfume. The only ‘positive‘ thing I can say is that longevity is great, but that was not a great thing for me: I had to scrub this off my wrists because the smell is just nauseating. There are many perfumes that I don’t particularly like, but I can stand them. Well... not this one. Apparently there are people that do like this perfume. Those people I’d advice to be careful on what occasions to wear this, because this is not office proof. I would not want to be close to someone wearing this. This is the first scent I’ve tried from this brand and it’s not making me enthusiastic to try more...

It’s too sharp from the first spray and remains uncomfortable to wear throughout its existence on my skin. This does not well blend with my skin chemistry and smells like toilet cleaner. I would not say that this is a safe blind buy, please test before purchase. It’s very polarising, I have only seen influencers hyping it. I would not recommend it and I find it linear with no complex nature.

Got this with my Tea tonique mini bottle. Unlike Tea Tonique , this smells very unnatural and akin to chemicals you’d clean with. Pass

Interesting scent. I was expecting a citrus blast but I got something different. On my skin the Basil, rosemary, geranium and lavender are very intense. The herbal tones stay dominant from the beginning to the drydown. It doesn't smell too chemical but doesn't smell natural either... It is piercing sharp in the first hour. A little bit soapy. Pleasant, but not something I really want to wear. A sample is enough for me.
