A'Rosa

I love Elie Saab Le Parfum but find it too strong to wear. This is like a lighter, soapy version - I would say it smells like ES bubble bath. Much better and adequately scented by misting and walking through. I'd buy it again.

Loved this in winter but as the weather has got warmer it has become to screechy and potent.far too soapy smelling for me and i am normally a big fan of Milton Lloyd perfumes x

Having discovered that my local shop sells them at 4 for £10, I have embarked on the Great Milton Lloyd Testing. First one up is A'Rosa (on the bottle what I've represented by ' is a little gold heart, but I don't seem to have this option). Don't be fooled by the name; there is perhaps a little rose in the initial impression, together with what I gather are woods and honey, but all are very fleeting. The main notes seem to me to be orange blossom and a little jasmine together with patchouli. I don't think I am capable of enjoying the latter, but here it is tolerable; not quite enough to make it obnoxious to me. Projection is only moderate, but a gentle orange blossom hangs around for a couple of hours. I feel this would be a good choice for a bright day when I wish to smell vaguely pleasant without making a statement or risking upsetting anyone in the same room with me. Very important; to me it does not smell cheap; if I were judging it blind I would rank it with several light patchouli florals I have tried in quality, strength and longevity. The main difference is that most of them are 10 or 20 times the price.

A bit too headache inducing for me. It isn't light and airy like Elie Saab

Hmmm. I'm the proud owner of a number of ML fragrances, this one being my latest purchase. Sadly, although I can relate to the connection with Elie Saab, the Patchouli and Jasmine just don't gel with my skin at all.I get a disturbing screeching BO thing going on. No Orange Blossom or Rose detected at all. Such a pity as I adore the pink box with entwined wedding rings and hearts, and the bottle would add style to any dressing table.I asked my OH what he thought of this on me and he said he thought it was more like Saab exhaust fumes than Elie Saab.This one will be confined to the 'air freshener' department unfortunately.
