Chelsea Flowers

This was my first ever perfume back in the 90s. I am glad it is still around. I find it perfect for autumn and winter. While the opening feels a bit sharp, very flowery, I am in love with the notes that follow. It is warm, clean and lovely. It definitely has a boudoir vibe as another commenter described it, slightly vintage, but modern nonetheless. It is a strong, bold scent, not something I would usually wear. I am generally into fresh, green, aquatic, ozonic scents, and yet I am loving this right now. The nozzle, if pressed gently, releases a sort of mist and I think this is all you need on your skin for this perfume to smell at its best, and especially if you are not used to strong, bold flowery scents that tend to be towards vintage. I do not spray it on my clothes as I don't feel that is needed to be enveloped by this fragrance. Spraying it on clothes also makes it overbearing. Right now, I am in love with it. Longevity is good, sillage also, even if applied as sparingly as I described. Update: I got a sample of Quelques Fleurs l'Original by Houbigant out of curiosity. While the top notes, or the initial spritz, is not the same, the dry down of Chelsea Flowers is a close copy of Quelque Fleurs. So, for my own peace of mind, it is indeed a dupe of this perfume. While the original is more sophisticated and slightly softer, given the price difference (I could get nearly two 50ml bottles of this for the price of a 2ml sample of Quelques Fleurs), this is a pretty good copy of a very sophisticated and voluptuous perfume. It also stands its ground on its own, with the differences making it unique and original in its own right.

I like it. It's a soft mainly white flowers perfume. Not sweet yet fresh. Diffinitely not cheap smelling. It's like walking through a garden full of white flowers and you get soft waves of delicate flowers passing by. Projection and longtivity are not that great, moderate or below. For €6 for 55ml i will spray away.

Beautiful, flowery, delicate, powdery in a boudoir way. Make me feel like a lady and yet playful, like a little girl having fun in front of her mother’s mirror. A love for me.

:( Have seen in mulitple places online that this is meant to be a dupe for Quelque Fleurs but, having bought it for this reason, I'm sadly disappointed. This bears no resemblance at all to the Houbigant QF that I remember my Mum having about 30 years ago and I can recall the smell of that quite clearly. Chelsea Flowers may well smell like Jardins de Bagatelle as I vaguely recall sniffing that a few years ago and thinking 'not for me' - kind of the same feeling I get with Chelsea Flowers. What CF is, I would say, is a big 80s type floral with perhaps a little bit of a 'fruity' twist to it. An Amarige-type smell (1991, I know) springs to mind off the top of my head as a comparison. The quality of this fume doesn't seem bad - it smells better after settling a little while than it does on the initial spray in my opinion - but this kind of smell is just not my kind of thing although I know it is a lot of peoples. :)
