Colour Me Pearl

This reminds me a lot of JPG Classique. It has the funky/musky note. It’s also floral and sweet. It’s nice. It’s okay.

I'm the first reviewer for this one? Yikes. I will try to do a good job then. For me, the orange blossom and Rose notes are most prominent, with a tiny bit of sweet honey. Cedar is noticeable in a very understated manner and that, along with the patchouli, reins in the dominant notes to something which is a dry-ish, sour sweetness. I only get musk and amber if I stick my nose to my wrist and take in a deep sniff. I can't detect Jasmine on its own. I consider myself quite competent when it comes to sniffing out Jasmine so it's either extremely well blended or non-existent. YMMV. Another reason I am pretty pleased with this is that I have a number of Milton Lloyd perfumes and most, not all, whilst generally pleasant, have a certain tart, gone-off fruit note which is something of a ML signature but regrettably for me lets them down. I don't know what the note is nor why it is in so many of these perfumes. Perhaps someone else here knows what I mean? It means that something in most of their perfumes makes them smell the same alongside the notes that then make them different. It's hard to explain! For example, it's in Bondage Chocolate, Stars, and Futurity; not so much in Night Flower; and not at all in Hawaii. Anyway, the weird mystery note does not appear to be in Colour Me Pearl and for that i am delighted. This is an inexpensive, fresh scent and as a Brit, I am happy to support British brands like Milton Lloyd. TL;DR; dry-ish, sour, sweet fresh/floral with noticeable orange blossom and rose, inexpensive and pleasant. As always, YMMV. Don't forget the pressurised bottle when applying; use a light hand.

A candied rose in honey, a lot of power and projection, a warm, intense, sensual fragrance. Not so easy to wear (honey is strong) I need to choose the right time to feel like smelling like this. One spray is enough for the day, can still notice it going to bed.

Budget Floral bomb. Not a fan of the orange blossoming note as much as I am the patchouli and rose. Its not refined so Spray lightly. At this price point I will he keeping and enjoying it.

Most Milton Lloyd bottles are pressurized not atomized; they spray in a continuous stream as a deodorant and not single spritzes as perfumes. Given that with their nuclear strength, you have to be cautious how much you spray or you’ll choke on them. CmP is a honeyed floral. I can see where people compare it to Ellie Saab le Parfum and JPG Classique but I don’t consider it a dupe to either. It lacks the refinement and class really. It is quite harsh and chemical in the start but settles more nicely to a honeyed floral with some soapiness in the background and a woodsy base. The price point and longevity are very good.

This smells pretty similar to Elie Saab Le Parfum but it also has something different about it going on although that difference is very minimal. The strange thing is Colour Me Pearl projects more despite being significantly cheaper. However the dry down is different for both the perfumes. Give it a sniff if you like sweet floral perfumes, I have a feeling you won’t be disappointed
