Kashmir

Might be one of the best value perfumes I’ve found. I bought it from a street vendor in East London for £5 because of the stylishly sickly 70s logo and colour scheme. It is a magical transporting evil green soapy old handbag full of fag ends. A sour combination of Clinique’s Wrappings and all time favourite Bandit - although inevitably not quite as good as that sounds. After all, it only costs £5. Like all perfumes from this brand it sprays like a fire hydrant and for me the delightfully coarse leathery Elnett dry down sticks around for hours and hours. At this price I would happily go through a bottle a week. Since finding this, I’ve paused before shelling out hundreds on offerings from new niche brands on more than one occasion. I’d love to know if anyone out there thinks it can be beaten for the price??

an old school aldehidic great perfume for those who enjoy the soapines in perfumes not to forget mentioning the utterly cheap price

Dear Reader's♥, After reading all the gaggle of Milton Lloyds perfumes how they are all great cheapies , I decided to give my nose a try, purchased 3 and this is my impression of Kashmir by Milton Lloyd. Wow the opening notes were very boozy,strong, woody,leathery and musky, for a moment I thought it was a man's perfume for a moment but then the fem notes were in the perfume cloud surrounding my senses and images of a sleazy dominatrix with latex thigh high heels playing in my head with a red whip as I kept inhaling. So I decided to purchase it on the spot. LOL. This fragrance Kashmir belongs to an assertive woman who is an alpha but with a dark side who likes total control . It has that assertiveness like Paloma's Picasso fragrance but Kashmir is more the darker , lewd with raw sexual energy like a she wolf lurking in the darkest corners your minds fantasies that you led out of the bottle and riding on your skins body becoming one with this man eater of a female spirit. A must buy if your into those sorts of things. Woof !

This one is a very pleasant surprise!! On my skin it stays wonderfully tart and herbal - and I'm not used to having those top notes stick around throughout. On me it doesn't develop the heavier chypre base notes but I have lots of others that do so I don't miss it. What makes this one unusual and special is that the top notes stick around and don't get washed out by the heavier base notes. My skin tends to quickly consume light scents, I don't buy edts and don't even consider cologne. So what may sound like a negative performance is actually a winner for me.

A very good dupe i must say. I don't like the fragrances with leather very much but for a change in perfume this is a very good one. And very cheap also but the fragrances of Milton LLoyd doen't smell cheap at all and they last sooooo long. I think this brand make the best dupes with the quality and even better quality as the originals.

Very good notice, Gtabasso. A dupe of what. It is a distinct fragrance, even iconic. Very well made. Bit similar with Sikkim and Ma Griffe mixed but with some oriental vibes. In the vintage formula is very realistic, vibrant and with a spectacular longevity.

A decent dupe of my beloved Sikkim, imposible to find nowadays. I’m over the moon.

A very interesting find for £5 - a bold 100ml (with a generous continuous sprayer). It starts like Rasasi’s Afshan, then develops a sweeter more luxurious Pikovaya Dama vibe, then takes a Chanel No.22 turn (with the smooth incense and heavy aldehydes) but ends as a fizzy yellow sherbet clean with dry ashtray sprinkles. As lovely and cheap as it is, it becomes a skin scent after the first hour and I can’t fully commit to it.

I can see why other reviewers mention burnt rubber! I am a big fan of Milton Lloyd and wanted something a bit different, so I had my heart set on this one working out well. However... Once the initial burnt rubber smell wears off, which doesn't take long, I'm not sure I actually like what you're left with...which is certainly foresty, and even composty, but not necessarily what a human wants to smell Iike. It's about as sensual as tweed and brogues. Maybe if your idea of a romantic time is trudging round a gloomy Loch in winter drizzle, this is the perfume for you. For me, sadly, from now on it's an air freshener for the barn!

Bought the fragrance oil and it quickly dried down to old lady lily of the valley and powder.

Here we have a delightful leather in the same family of scents as Bandit, Cabochard, and others, with it's own special take on that punchy, green leather vibe. Lovers of modern suede must look elsewhere - Kashmir and it's ilk are more about oakmoss and other greenish chypre notes. Budget lovers of all things retro, however, may rejoice. You want to smell like an intelligent, vintage vamp? Look no further! It may cost you less than a large latte, at that. :D Thanks to a continuous sprayer, Kashmir packs quite the opening POW. Applied heavily, Kashmir at first blast could accidentally scare away even vintage lovers. Alas, after half an hour on me it subsides considerably into a skin scent. I mitigate the strong/faint contrast by spraying well before leaving the house, and on fabric and hair for biggest impact. No complaints - a great scent for the price and (IMHO) totally unisex. As a vintage fragrance fan, I personally crave this kind of leather in the heat of summer. Therefore the continuous sprayer hits the spot for me on hot days. Store in the fridge for maximum enjoyment!

I don't know Sikkim, and it's fine since I can judge Kashmir for it's own right. And this is something very 'me'. A little bit on the bitter side, leather, tobacco, some powdery and floral and green notes, actually, everything together that I love and that I look for in a perfume plus some spices, I think I smell cloves. I think this might be gorgeous for layering. A perfume that may work overly feminine on a woman's skin and beautifully mysterious on a man's skin, too. LAst but not least this dupe doesn't smell at all as the cheap dupes I remember from my childhood. They were onedimensional, absolutely linear and messy. Nothing like that here indeed. Kashmir is created with art. The only thing is beyond me how the design of this really ugly packaging came into someone's mind.....

I haven't tried Sikkim but this is an old school style green/leather. If you smell it up close on the skin it does have a "cheap drug store scent" quality for a while but that does largely dissipate within an hour or so. There are some florals softening it up but I'd say it's close enough to call it unisex, and it's certainly strong enough. There is a slight salad with dressing quality too (a touch of mustard?), for those who can't stand that sort of thing. Overall, great for the price, no doubt. UPDATE: With a regular wearing I get more or less the same thing. Also, it reminds me of something like a unisex version of vintage Caractere by Daniel Hechter. Very nice indeed, just give it some time to develop.

To "get" or "experience" this fragrance you must allow it to develop on your skin. The first spritz is "hello,I am a typical drugstore cheapo fragrance"...lol. This part lasts a short time,thankfully and then when all that dissapates, you can smell the actual scent. I do not think this smells like Cabochard,but I would say..."same vibe/family".This one is somehow "greener"...??? It tries to go into chypre territory...maybe 60%. For $7, I am not upset. But,it is a scent/formulation that you have to "test" out on skin and with your own chemistry.The eventual dry-down is actually quite nice. At first, it seemed this would be a cloying powerhouse,but that is only when first sprayed...IMHO.

oh, i love this (my new favorite perfume, actually, and that for under 10 bucks.) i also love cabochard, aramis, aromatics elixir, empreinte ... they're all in the same family: leathery chypres. i've never smelled the original sikkim this apparently is a dupe of (is that even a sentence in the english language?) -- and i almost don't have to, since this is so good in its own right. except, of course, i *do* have to. i absolutely have to acquaint myself with the original. not expecting it to be better, necessarily. i'm just dead certain i'll love it, because i do love this. and i'm curious to see how close kashmir gets to sikkim.

A hidden gem on the shelves.. whose value is only known to those who know it before..ooh God.. it's very good quality with strong longevity and sillage.. for the Chypre lovers .. it's a scent with a very good price!.. remind me of Aramis 900 even much much better!.. aromatics elixir as well .. very unisex .. suitable for all seasons specially spring and summer's hot days .. thank u milton lloyd England ❤️ 🌹..

Dry fresh citric powder (that I can smell in other M-L like Chelsea or Hawaï or even Summer flower), with a green flowery undertone, and old fashioned rough leather. I enjoy it.

How I'd love to try out this cheapie, but in the USA, the Milton Lloyd scents are $20+ For me, it's cheaper to look for the real vintages on auction sites. I'm sad about it.

Beautiful - Lancome Sikkim at a bargain price. Judging by the only other reviews here, chypre perfumes are not popular with those who want to smell like cakes or sweets.

it is exactly as suheasa said , I can't agree anymore. It is vintage style , leather, powdery , soapy , cheap aldehidic perfume .
