I am glad this is on the database! Its a little pricier than your regular Milton Lloyd, but not by much. To me its a lot like la vie est belle but with no patchouli (hurray!) It stays sweet and has no screetchiness. Once dried downIits got a candy floss like tone. I love it, its very nice, nothing too different or outstanding but lovely all the same

When I read the review that suggested this is Guerlainesque, after seeing it for sale for about $4 new (for the full size bottle!), I decided to blind buy one. I agree with that reviewer, in that it's got a touch of Guerlain but without the mustiness and/or animalic qualities. There's an almost tea-like quality, perhaps bergamot, but the woodiness is never obvious. However, what makes this really good is the blend, and it's at least borderline unisex. I was never thinking that there was obvious vanilla or the usual "juvenile" fruity/candy aroma chemicals, and I'm wondering how this was made or what it was made with! Now it's not especially complex, and I'd say one could compare it to Rochas Lui in that respect, but with that one I find the wood or musk used to be too irritating after a while (I can't remember at the moment). So, it's natural smelling and very pleasant (not too sweet either), without being too similar to any scent I've tried, but some might say it has no wow factor. UPDATE: Far into the drydown I get an almost tobacco-like quality, but just a hint. It lasted a very long time with at least decent sillage after a few hours, so I'm quite pleased. It could also be used for layering! UPDATE #2: Another wearing and the far drydown is more like a dry frankincense this time!
