No. 9 Victor

Unfortunately, I have difficulty smelling real Aventus. I only get passing whiffs of it which I love, but no way I'm paying hundreds of dollars for something I can't consistently enjoy. So dupes seem like the logical alternative. I've tried decants of Club de Nuit Intense Man, L'Aventure, Supremacy Silver, and Explorer. I settled on the 100ml Explorer because it popped on me the best and had a great juicy opening, and the others had little issues I didn't like. CDNIM was too smoky and too in your face. L'Aventure was balanced and smelled great but something in it locked up my nose. SS also smelled great but it had hints of that smoked meat accord that has been talked about. Not in the air, but on skin. Too be honest I get a bit of that from CDNIM and L'Aventure as well. Long setup, but that brings me to Milton Lloyd No 9 Victor. In another dupe's review, someone mention that this is better than all the other dupes. Not many YouTube reviews of it, but the ones that did loved it. So when I saw 50ml on for 10 bucks I grabbed it. I gotta say, regardless of price this is my favorite Aventus clone by far. It positively jumps off my skin! It has that juicy smooth opening of bergamot as well as a bit of pineapple that isn't really present in the others I have tried. I can even pick up some black currant which was surprising. So good. And that juiciness isn't just in the opening, it carries through the drydown. The drydown is a lightly smokey wood. Nicely balanced. Similar to Explorer, but without that slightly sour patchuli/vetiver note on skin and more accurate to the original Aventus. The pressurized sprayer isn't bad at all. Very easy to regulate a quick burst that is similar to a regular atomizer's output. Sprayed 5 small bursts on skin at 8am and for the first couple of hours the sillage and projection were great. More than an arms length. After that it became what I thought was a nice skin scent, but people were still picking up on it from a distance at 7pm. 9pm I was still getting small wonderful whiffs in the air. Really impressed. It does garner compliments. It's my favorite Aventus clone and Explorer may be sitting on the shelf for awhile. I'm going to eventually buy the larger bottle as a backup, and it is so good that I even went so far as to buy the large bottles of "Mojo" which is an Oud Wood clone, and "Leo" which is their Sauvage clone. Don't really love Sauvage and would never buy it, but at its price point its a no-brainer. And that is a perfect description of No 9 Victor. No-brainer.

Okay, I’m honored to be the first to review this here! Finally it’s on the Database, I can’t believe this took time to be in the database tho, well maybe it’s Cos there are so many Fragrances inspired by “Aventus” This is one of them but a bit unique, It’s the Very Fruity version of Aventus, I’ve had the opportunity to compare few Aventus inspirations, (Carefully not trying to say the word ‘clone’) I sampled this, CDNIM, Afnan supremacy silver, Lattafa Al Dur Al Maknoon, and one brand called Fragrance world(‘s) Black leather, CDNIM is harsh, Supremacy silver is less harsh, same with Lattafa version, Black leather is Harsher! But this Perfumers Choice no9 is sweet! I love it more, I don’t know how to compare with Aventus Cos Aventus now has many batches that ain’t the same... Perfumers choice no9 starts fruity with a mix of pineapple and apple, the black currant follows immediately, after some minutes you’ll begin to feel its matured change to a woodsy fruity scent, I can’t love this less 😍 Well, Longevity on this is not bad, CDNIM has a moderate edge over it, I get 6hrz on skin with this, It’s projection is impressive! Projects heavily and for the first 2 hrs or maybe 3hrz... The funny part is this is so cheap! Guys blind buy this! But avoid the 50ML version, buy the 83Ml instead, Cos that’s what my review is all about!! The 50ML has lower oil concentration and doesn’t even last!

I bought this from amazon after seeing some good reviews around the internet and on youtube. It was a blind buy since the 50ml only costs around £7. Unlike most other perfumes, the sprayer for this is more like a body spray. However, you can still press the sprayer and then let go in order to get your standard spray. The pump sprays a very fine and even mist across a fairly large area. Now for the scent; it opens with a very pleasant fruity smell (like a fruit salad) and a hint of bergamot. It smells relatively natural (unlike the middle eastern clones), but you can smell the alcohol for a few seconds. It dries down into a woody musk with a hint of vanilla. It's very fresh and not particularly smokey. I've read reviews saying that this doesn't last. In the morning (8:30am) i do 2 sprays on my shirt and 3 sprays around the neck. By 6:30pm when i go to the gym and take my shirt off, it still smells of the fragrance. I've also noticed that when i open my cupboard, my regular coats and jackets smell of this. I don't really receive many compliments for the fragrances i wear. I live in London and my workplace is mostly guys. My other half thinks it smells pleasant. I've also stood next to a guy wearing Aventus, and someone asked "are you two wearing the same aftershave?"

10 minutes after applying this citrus based aventus dna. This smells much more pleasant for me than other super-hyped clones like haramain, armaf, montblanc. The bottle acts like a spray bottle, unlike a classic edp/edt atomizer. Surprisingly good sillage, fresh, not that flowery, smells like freshly cut lemon left under the sun in a hot summer day, then it transforms while i'm writing now in a pineapple and rose juice, on top of a charcoal. This is more satisfying than any other clone. The original aventus is a lost scent. Now they make fun of committed clients. It smells good, don't get me wrong, but it's top notes mostly , watered down and lasts 2-3 hours. Yes, a bit more high definition, complex, whatever. I feel the difference, but not a $400 one. Milton Lloyd, thanks for this one!

This is a very interesting clone of the icon of men’s niche perfumery; Creed Aventus. As far as clones of Creed Aventus go, this is one of the ones that comes the closest to the real deal. The top note has that fresh, clean pineapple that is very reminiscent of Aventus, and the base has that lush musky oakmoss that Aventus is famous for. I like this more than any other Creed Aventus clone I’ve tried (CDNIM, Insurrection II, L’Aventure, etc.) the only major knock I have against this is the fact that it’s aerosol. Why would they do that? Milton Lloyd, if you’re reading this, ditch the aerosol! Give us a proper atomizer and this would be the absolute best Creed Aventus clone on the market. 4/5. If this weren’t Aerosol, it would be a 5.

Cannot be beaten for price... I have many bottles of Aventus but still always keep a few of these to keep in the car, gym etc. Opens with a bright juicy pineapple that holds out superbly before going into the woddy mids.. I go nose blind fast but I've had compliments after 6 or 7 hours and projects nicely and leaves a great silage... If you love aventus, trust me and buy a few of these to spray casually 10/10 considering the quality to price ratio and its an EDP concentration!!! It does spray out like a body spray but honestly no need to use it as heavy... I have a few Aventus clones and I personally think this is the closest even over Al Haramain L'aventure and Armaf CDNIM. This is smoother and more refined than both of them.Sure the bottle is like a body spray and you may not get the exact same amount every time but for $10.00 CDN funds for 50ml I cannot complain.I get about 1 hour of projection. Sillage about 3 hours. It last about 5 hours and a skin scent for about 8 hours easily.I got compliments yesterday out in public at a coffee shop. Scent 9/10 Projection 7/10 Longevity 8/10 Value 9/10

Many people are looking for a fruitier CDNIM version, and this is it. edit: I wore it today for the first time after 1 year, and I have to say the performance is fine. all good. 8 hrs later, it is clearly in the air around me. And it smells great. fruity, fresh. Like the Aventus DNA without the smokiness. Like "Club de nuit Intense Men" without the smokiness and that sharp opening. It's fruitier. I feel sorry for people who are looking for a nice Aventus clone and sleep over that one. it is the best dupe of Aventus that I know.

The only take on Creed Aventus Cologne, yes the Cologne, not the OG Aventus, that I know of. They smell identical except this lasts longer than Aventus Cologne. Absolutely class fragrance for the price point of £8-£10. Long lasting with a solid 5-7 hours on skin and then a lot longer (24 hours at least) on clothes - obviously more of a subtle scent at this point. Perfect cheap daily scent for gym, office, general errands or to be thrown in the car, high projection and sillage for around 3-4 hours (for me at least)

I didn't try creed Aventus before.. or even a clone dupe for Aventus! .. but this "Victor # 9" is like a delicious wafer biscuits with fruits cream .. especially the pineapple !.. it's a chypre fragrance with a good performance (really +six hours) and excellent sillage .. great value for the price .. it attracts Everyone the young and the old .. even baba love to wear it when he going outside !.. recommend in the spring .. summer and fall .. This was only £16 in superdrug UK. BEST value for money I have ever spent! performance is great and you dont get the harsh chemical cleaner smell you get in CDNIM, this is more smokey. I brought a backup bottle in a deal with superdrug for 2 for 22 and brought their sauvage clone which is just as good as this one! Milton fragrance really smell more expensive then what they cost, very happy and will always have the 2 bottles in my collection!

I tend to keep a couple of these in my collection at all times, it's always at a cheap cost, but saying that the spray comes out very quickly and feels more like a mist than an actual spray. It has good projection but I find it doesn't last too long. Always getting compliments wearing this though. Smells like Creed Aventus & Montblanc Explorer. This is part of my Spring/Summer/Daytime collection. 9/10

The Aventus similarities are true. However you may notice quite a strong wood note, almost like pencil shavings, which isn't bad personally by any means. For the price you pay, the strength, the longevity and complimentsyou wil get from this fragrance is worth every penny imo. I would decant this in a new bottle as it is not very nice to look at or use.

Solid scent for the price. It’s a playful take on Aventus and honestly, garners compliments. There’s a banana nuisance that bothers me and doesn’t bother me. Oh yeah, the butane smell isn’t too bad. It actually adds character to the scent. FYI (This comes out like spray on deodorant)

The best dupe of Aventus that I know. Like CDNIM without that sharp opening and with more fruitiness, and less smoke from birch tar. Performance is fine. You won't get more for that amount of money. I paid under 10 bucks for 50 ml, which is madness.

I love CDNI more, but this smells much closer to actual Aventus. It is extremely good and the quality is really evident. MIlton LLoyd has some quality offerings and I am happy they are available in the USA finally.

If you want Aventus but can’t afford the real deal - then buy this. The sillage is comically massive and it lasts and lasts. It’s exceptionally good value, and nobody will be able to tell the difference.

The best bang for buck fragrance I have ever bought, longevity and sillage are both great. It may not be as complex as designer brands/more pricy stuff but is a great day-to-day fragrance.

Really lovely perfume. Lasts and projects really well. Woody, fruity and floral. I bought one bottle, then bought another straight away. Honestly, it's gorgeous.

Most of my co-workers have bought this just for office at my advice, this is very nice and so cheep, very good performance, longevity and sillage.

Finally its in our database. I owned a bottle of this last July and I can say that its just another Creed Aventus clone off the market. It is one of the cheapest clones I tested and the best thing about this is the quality drydown and skin scent. The drydown has this kind of green, fresh, and wet vibe (you can see the irony there) and I enjoyed it completely in my whole duration of testing. I can smell birch, black currant, or plum as main notes. But sad to say that the aerosol bottle that indicates a certain volume is not accurate to the last drop, and its also the fastest bottle to run out of juice. There is an online review saying that the bottle is too much heavy, and if nothing comes out of the aerosol spray anymore you feel like some juice are still left inside and would not come out and you will think that its only a problem of pressurized bottles for most aerosol sprayers. When my bottle stopped spraying out I tried to open it using pliers if there is still juice left, just like what the reviewer is saying. To my disappointment there is nothing inside. The bottle is black plastic so you can only feel the weight of it and at your purchase you can really feel that its heavy and it will probably produce a considerable amount of juice. Most aerosol cans feel light when empty, this one is not. This is still heavy when empty. I thought this is a glass bottle but it isnt. You can always try this and you wont be disappointed with the scent. The volume of juice is the problem though. You will run out of it before you know it. The scent is good but due to the volume and aerosol sprayer issue, it sits at the bottom half of my Creed Aventus clones list. Actually, I like this better than Aventus, which never impressed me. It starts with a strong fruity accord, and dries down to a musky-rose accord, more rose than musk. I detect no smoke at all, however. (Isn't that the main thing to get right about an Aventus clone, a pineapple-smoke accord?) Also, there isn't any oakmoss within miles of this stuff. It's not listed on the box and I don't smell any. It lasted about five hours on my skin before it turned into a very faint skin scent. Not a bad piece of work at all, especially considering the money. My wife hates it - but she had a head cold.

Good fragrance for the price! Im not the biggest fan of aventus but it smells very similar. It is ever so slightly more synthetic than creed aventus and smells slightly more fruity than aventus but bare in mind that a 100ml Aventus cost £295 whereas this cost less than £20. I do take issue with the atomiser as its a constant spray atomiser (like a deodorant or air freshener) but other than that its a very good aventus clone and the price is an absolute bargain!!

just finished the 50ml version I've had for many years. very good for the 7 bucks I got it for, not very strong but definitely has the staple aventus, citrus, birchwood, amber, mild vanilla DNA, great for a gym bag and when oversprayed leaves a very good smooth ambroxan skin scent after about 3-4 hours. If this had more performance I would much prefer this over montblanc explorers basic designer take on the aventus DNA.

Citrus, citrus, and more citrus. That's all I get from this at the top, middle, and base. That being said it does smell pleasant, cheap definitely but pleasant and for the price of £6, I'm not complaining at all, it's great value. Been keeping it in my gym locker for a while and it works great for a quick spray when I need it. Good dirt cheap fragrance.

Smells really similar to Creed Aventus. Lasts 3-5hr and has a pretty strong silage. Leave this on my desk at work for when my morning fragrance starts to fade, and will get compliments on it all the time. For the price, this is an amazing fragrance to keep close or use a few times a day to keep you smelling good.

I just got a 50ml EDP bottle of this from Amazon, and it smells nothing like Aventus or any of its clones. They must have changed the juice. It now smells like those small soap bars you find in hotels. Cheap but wasted money. Update 2022: I bought the bigger bottle and smells like it should, very nice.

What on earth is the atomizer on this thing??? It comes out like a body spray rather than a edt, its quite bizzare. This has the pineapple note that I have wanted from other clones but the atomizer kills it for me, may just decant it into a different bottle and that would make make me like it more.

Got this yesterday, very easy to wear. Lasts ok, about 5-6 hrs but haven't got a clue how much i sprayed. Does it smell like Aventus? In my opinion, its nothing like what is on sale now. It does however strangely remind me of the original Armani pour homme without the soapiness.

Good value, it's good for the money but I'll probably use it with Al Dur Al Maknoon Silver by Lattafa to take the sharpness out. A good, cheap addition to a collection

Although I'm not a fan of Aventus clones, this does smell like a nice fruity Aventus. If you like fruity Aventus - I think you'll be impressed with the smell of this for the price.... but... I don't know if its just me, but I have no longevity from it at all. On me, it seems to last, maybe 15 minutes. I thought perhaps I had grown nose blind, but no - no one else could smell it either. Possibly its just me though - doesn't seem like everyone else has this problem.....

I was looking for an even cheaper, better clone for CDNIM/Aventus this is most certainly not it. It is a sweeter, more citrus version of Aventus, definitely not smoky like CDNIM. Not impressed, this is closer to Zara vibrant leather

Not bad but doesn't last very long on me. The fruity scent smells weird and is not very likeable to me, I've never smelled Aventus but if it smells like this I don't understand the ridiculous price.

It is in Aventus vein but in the same time it hugely lacks complexity and quality. Therefore similar vise it is not so close.

#756 in my "Tour de Fragrance" When I first saw this scent's high rating and price it made me curious enough to blind buy it, given that if it turned out I hate it no big monetary loss. I don't exactly hate it, but it's not a "4.21" scent or even close. No it's not Creed "Aventus", Armaf "CDNIM", Afnan "Supremacy Silver", Lattafa "Al Dur Al Maknoon," or English Laundry "London" which all have a discernible pineapple note that's completely absent here. All those scents mostly just sit on the shelf at my house. It's not a scent type I enjoy all that much, but at least there's a hint of pineapple I like in those fragrances. If there is even a hint of pineapple in Victor No 9, I'm not picking it up. To me this is basically the same juice as Al Haramain "L'Aventure" with its cheap synthetic citruses that I disliked enough to give it away the day after I bought it. It too has its fans, but it's charms are lost on me, and same with this Milton-Lloyd scent, which is likewise kinda sour and screechy, though it does improve a lot in an hour as the screechy citrus notes tone down. Still, I can't recommend this. I'd previously thought I might try all the Milton-Lloyd scents like "Mojo" and the "Colour" scents, but I think my curiosity about the brand is satisfied for now.

Curiosity got the cat. I wanted to test this brand. I wonder why this fragrance category exists - body sprays as aerosols with propellants. There are some that I don't mind - designer luxury (Dior, Chanel), and designer cheapies (Capucci). I don't like Cuba (except Gold and Royal), Adidas, Axe, etc, aerosols though I like some of their normal spray fragrances and aftershaves. Aerosols seem never to help the fragrance, and sometimes they take away. They don't seem 100% neutral healthwise. Why do we bother? Because spray "deodorants" that were antiperspirants, morphed into spray deodorant/fragrances for the teen crowd, years ago? So we think this is a legitimate delivery form for fragrance? Milton Lloyd / Perfumer's Choice falls into my "don't like", though it's better after waiting 10 minutes and even OK after waiting 30 minutes to an hour. I've heard their Kouros clone is great, but then some think this No. 9 is great. I don't want to knock it since people do need value fragrances, but there are great 10-15 dollar cheapies, male and female - that men can wear, and which seem more coherent and sometimes even have a nose behind them.

This is my personal opinion. Go to the last paragraph if you want to get right to the point. I've bought every fragrance clone of Aventus I can find. I have a full bottle of 2019 and a 50ml of 2015. They smell nothing alike. Hence my curiosity to find a stable clone. Preferably without a skanky cheap base full of filler. My nose has developed enough to smell the cheapness of ingredients whereas in the early years, I could not. I've also bought the generic oil clones from the middle east and have now been able to smell this in clone house's versions of Aventus where they clearly just add perfumers oil, perhaps fillers and boosters. It's perfume oil usually found in attars for personal use, generic mass-produced and shipped from the middle east. I don't like it, it's not that appealing to me. Low quality. If this works for you, then great but it's about $2 for the attars for 3ml in a roll-on that will last you forever as it doesn't go off.

There's a reason it cannot and will not smell like Adventus or the better-known clones. Some of you have pointed it out, unknowingly, in your review. The sprayer!! It doesn't mist and is uncontrollable. This is NOT a pump sprayer; it is an aerosol. The propellant is propane. Propane requires that ascent be added to the raw product for detection if it leaks. VERY dangerous stuff. There is the chemical smell. It MUST blend in while it sits. Even if this stuff did not have the propane scent in it, use of an aerosol sprayer instead of a pump is just out of the question for me. No control, it goes everywhere unless you stay close, and really an unnecessary addition. No, I didn't really break down the juice. If I have to have a "gas torch" note, why bother?

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. Aventus?? I want what you're all having. This smells like lighter fluid. Then it dries down into toilet freshener. Worst blind buy ever.

The more I smell it the less I like it. The only good thing about it is it's cheap. Does it smell like Aventus? If you stand on one leg and squint it does a little, a very rough, pungent Aventus that's gone off a bit.

The spray nozzle stopped working in 2-3 days. Happened for two different bottles.

I am surprised it has taken so long to put this fragrance onto this board, its very good. very wearable and a top seller in the UK. every aventus clone seeker should try it. there is a tendency to over spray. I have had and used several bottles of this will likely buy another. I go blind to it quite quickly. its a top seller in the UK check out the company website for real sales blurb. its a contender to be top budget clone. update: this manufacturer also has an essentials range, of which No 10 is another aventus inspiration, some suggestion its perfumers choice No 9 rebottled, but I think its more emphasis on the woods rather than PC 9 has brighter citrus opening, again well worth checking out, even cheaper than PC 9. mens essentials range has a no 9 which is a invictus +/- aqua, no 1. is le male and no 3. which I am not sure about closer to 1million (/* updated after inital impression when I sprayed them in fast sequence, now done them separately*/).....all deliver well above price tags IMO

@funwelldone you could be correct in what you say, or you could be wrong. I am not arguing the point, but I feel like you are coming off a little cocky and an absolutist with your comments bashing Mr.Smelly because he didn't agree with your assessment. There is a thing known as subjective opinion when talking about scents. People have different noses, batch variations and other factors that can contribute to people having radically different opinions. You, MR. Smelly, nor I are the final authority on what smells good or not. Club nuit intense would be a shining example of a fragrance that is loved and hated by all kinds of people. Again, this isn't to say you are wrong, but you COULD be wrong.. and if you could be wrong, you shouldn't bash someone based on them having a different opinion then your own.

Here is a little tip. If your Milton Lloyd spray stops spraying and there is still juice inside, here is what to do. Whenever you want to wear it, stand the bottle into a cup of hot BUT NOT BOILING water for about thirty seconds. This expands the perfume enough to give you one good long spray. You can repeat this every time you want to wear it until the juice runs out. A bit of a chore, but worth it if you want to use it all up. I've used up quite a few malfunctioning ML bottles in this way. The reason they run out of gas is due to spraying them sideways or upside down, which exhausts the butane.

A Facebook group member recomended this fragrance to me and I decided to buy a 50ml bottle. I've never smelled aventus, but I owned a bottle of Montblanc Explorer and it's the same as No9 Victor. I mean it's just 13-15 bucks, you can't really go wrong with this one, you get what you pay for. Projection and longevity are solid, but don't expect this to run you a whole day without reapplying several times, which is not an issue since it's cheap af. If you've ever smelled aventus or a clone of it and you like the aventus dna, you won't regret buying No9 Victor.
