Panache

One of my favourites, despite it having a reputation for being a cheap, old lady scent. It's soft, fluffy, airy and light. Fresher and cleaner and cosier feeling than anything else I've tried. You get a big strong blast of powdery citrus floral to begin with, but it settles into something truly wonderful. to me the scent is like throwing open the windows on a sunny, breezy morning and feeling energised and ready to take on the world. Panache is an all season perfume, cosy and comforting during colder months, fresh and energising during the warmer months. I wouldn't wear for a night out necessarily, or a date, but a night in, definitely. Even if you don't like it as a perfume, it makes a beautiful room/linen spray. I spray my curtains with it in the spring and summer before opening the window, sending delicious wafts of loveliness around the whole room. It both projects and lasts forever, especially on clothing. And the next day, it smells even better. Sometimes I spray it on a sweater that I plan to wear the next day just because I know it will smell twice as divine by the morning.

This is great value and has a lovely light scent - citrus, white floral, a little warmth and spice. Amazing longevity.

This reminds me of Revlon Charlie Blue but a bit less like hairspray. If you spray a rose body spray over it you may get something like YSL Paris. It is quite dry and almost wants to head into Tweed by Yardley territory but refrains from doing that thank goodness. If you like Ralph Lauren in the maroon bottle that was grassy and green or even Safari you might like this sort of smell. I would not say it smells like Grandma’s style of perfume it just avoids that by the skin of its teeth but if you don’t like powdery, soapy perfumes then this would be useless. It definitely is not sweet and has zero vanilla. It is not a warm perfume. It is like First I can smell the similarities. First is a little more refined. It lasts compared to the sweet perfumes of today but you will need to refresh it at some time during wearing as it does end up sitting close to the skin. I can smell wafts if it but it does weaken.

As I have been on a really tight budget for quite sometime I have to watch what I spend. So I like looking around for old classics that are still great, don't smell cheap but are affordable. It's also so I can have something to wear every day at home, without using up my expensive collection. Panache is beautiful! It's got a bit of a sharp opening like you've just opened a box of laundry powder, but it settles into something fresh and doesn't smell like a cheap oldie. You'd have people question what you're wearing (in a good way)! Probably good for any season, though I'm wearing this on the last day of Autumn, it will be interesting to see how it compares in hotter months!

Super strong and floral, like holy shit somebody's getting married? Or your big sister, or aunt, is getting ready for a day out on the weekend. In the old days, as soon as you smelt somebody's bottle you knew they were in the middle of getting ready. Panache is that strong where it would happen every time. Literally everything sold now doesn't have that effect. The horror. I use this as an air freshener. Batch: EDP from 13th September, 2018.
