Summertime

LOve,Love,Love a V&R Flowerbomb for just 3,70 euro what's not to love about this very good dupe. Smells expensive and lasts for ages.

I have never smelled the original Flowerbomb, so I can only review Summertime. Summertime is sweet fruity floral. It has a lovely powder and vanilla base. To me personally nothing is screechy. It feels soft and well blended. I cannot smell the green tea. So it's not like a Green Tea flanker from Elisabeth Arden for that matter. There is none of that green tea bitterness. It smells like a pink powdery floral. The dry down is quite lovely and soft. The vanilla is coming out then and the sweetness is mainly coming from the vanilla rather than the florals. It doesn't smell cheap nor synthetic to me. I find it to be a lovely, soft and well blended perfume. It is moderately strong in projection and moderately strong in lasting power. Not a watery, weak cheapie. You'll get a full-bodied perfume. If you are not into sweet florals I wouldn't recommend it. You might get quite annoyed with it after a while. I personally love these kind of perfumes, so I'm happy with it. I got it for £4.20, so what's not to like.

On the box it says this is Oriental vanillic, fruity citus, green tea, white floral woody musk. I can smell every element of that description and it smells good. This is very similar to Flowerbomb by V&R, but it lacks a note in Flowerbomb which makes me ill. It's so similar it could be Flowerbomb ETD. This lasts about six to seven hours on me with moderate silage. It becomes a delicious spicy-vanilla-musk skin scent after six hours, and I had my nose glued to the back of my hand for a long time during testing. This makes me wonder why anyone would shell out $80 USD and more for Flowerbomb when this is just as good. The bottle is plain but I like it. (Next on my list is Benetton Hot. Heard it smells just like Chanel Allure! ;-))

This is new to the Milton Lloyd name but utterly luscious and so like Flowerbomb I doubt I will ever wear the real thing again! Please try it ladies, it's good stuff.

Such a great scent, very pretty and quite long lasting. These Milton Lloyd fragrances are brilliant. I go to a market stall that sells them for £3. Absolute bargain.

I've been looking for an affordable Flowerbomb dupe for quite some time now, and since Summertime has such good reviews, I bought it blindly. Milton Lloyd products can't be found in stores in my country, so I had no way of testing this fragrance. In any case, I was sure I'd love it almost as much as I love the OG Fb, if not as much, and at that price? Yes, please! I sprayed a hefty amount on my skin as soon as the package arrived (I like the sprayer, by the way!) and waited... But this isn't the scent I was expecting - at least not on my skin. It does bear a slight resemblance to the real Fb, but it lacks that fine, well-known sweetness, and there's also a note in Summertime that the original Fb doesn't have. It's a sharp, screechy floral note, and the patchouli in it is also of the sharp kind. Unpleasant, I'd say. Obviously, the ingredients in Summertime are of the synthetic kind, but still... For instance, Suddenly Madame Glamour by Lidl is the cheapest CM dupe that I know of, and it's still a nice, well-balanced fragrance. Anyway, I waited, expecting that the sharp dissonant notes in Summertime would fade from my skin in a matter of minutes as the scent developed... But the minutes turned into hours and the scent remained unchanged, with the sharp note at the forefront grating on my nerves. I asked my husband to spray some of it on his arm, and the scent was as bad on him as it was on me. So no, I can't recommend this fragrance as a dupe of Flowerbomb, because it isn't. Always try before you buy!

This is a lovely scent, I have not ever tried or smelled FB before so I cannot compare. I'm just a little perplexed with how this is called 'Summertime' and is considered a Summer scent as I get vibes of warmth, thereby wanting to feel cosy and see it as a scent for cooler months... Nevertheless I'll pop it on again over the weekend as we head for a heatwave where it gets as much as 40C and I'll see how it fairs! I wore it last night and I can still smell it this morning so it has staying power!

Lasts upwards of 6 hours on me with great silage. I bought this for 4.99 which is silly money for such a nice scent. I'm going to be wearing this a lot.

It opens up with alot of flowers to smell and you get hints of all the different ones, the combination of them is really good, this being said by some1 who normally doesnt buy flower fragrances as they tend to end up as toilet refreshners, Summertime is a very pleasant bouquet that evolves after an hour into a more green tea, woody musk scent , different but still very pleasant .

Grrr bit cross. Lovely smellalicious but thought it was EDP so does not last beyond 3 hours grr grr. I want more of it! It's a bit weedy, more of a weedbomb really. It is very like ML's Natalie, which I adore and which lasts ages. So there. It's vanillic, floral, very sweet, honeysuckle, jasmine and marshmallows, but in a polite way.

I agree - Milton Lloyd dupes are the best I have ever encountered, and Summertime is identical to Flowerbomb but costs about £5 including shipping. Okay, the packaging is plain, but I do not care about the bottle or box - it is the contents that matter.

To me, it smells so so so so sickly sweet. And I love sweet and gourmand smells. It smells very cheap, I don’t get the rose notes or anything. It doesn’t last that long, but it’s so sickly sweet. I really don’t like it.

I have only tested this, and as I don't know flowerbomb (which it is said to resemble) I can't say whether it is similar to that, but it struck me as being very like baby doll.

molton brown does dupes really good ,with all the reformulations going on maybe we ll all turn back and get their dupes to remind us of the real good old school perfumes

Sweet beauty powder, warm, office smell. It's ok, no wow effect.
