Superstar

I don't know Euphoria, but I thought this might give me a ballpark idea of what it smells like without taking out a mortgage. I like the smell, but having applied it around an hour ago, it seems to be very shy indeed. I can only smell it if I sniff right up close to my wrist, but I do sometimes go 'noseblind' to some perfumes. I can't ask Hubbs, as he is noseblind to most perfumes. Will wait it out, and see if it fades away entirely, or re-establishes itself. Shame it isn't more 'there', because it smells lovely. I got the plum straight off. No strawberry, no kiwi. The orchid, patch and vanilla seem to make up the backbone of this scent. Maybe I need to introduce it to a perfume that's all base, to give it some lasting power. EDIT 29/07/21 Must have been my hayfever stopping it last year, but I've tried it again and it is lovely and lasts ages. Sprayed yesterday around 6 pm and it's still wafting up quite strong at 9 am in the morning. So no complaints and will definitely buy again when it runs out. Still no idea as to whether it smells like Euphoria, but who cares?

Due to blind buying I have ended up with several perfumes where I wouldn't be able to tell which is which in a blind test. They are: Betty Boop Sexy, Milton Lloyd Superstar, La Rive Tender and Kim Kardashian Gold. All of them are claiming to be or paying homage to the original CK Euphoria but the notes aren't all the same and the "reminds me of" lists didn't include all of these. They all have slight, slight differences but they all last 4 or 5 hours on me and longer on clothes.

Oh dear. It's really not my week for blind buys. That'll teach me to blind buy perfume I don't even need. Groan. I bought Superstar as, as the first reviewer here says, it's meant to be a dead ringer for CK Euphoria. Well, I tried wearing Euphoria and just couldn't - it attacked my airways, most unusual, so thought I'd give this smellalike a spin. Again, like the Avon I recieved today, disappointing. This is NOTHING like Euphoria. It's another vague, modern chemi-smudge - with a touch of fruit. It's a shame because Milton Lloyd can really get their frags spot on - the 'Paris' one for example, but to my nose there's a distinct 'twin' aspect to Euphoria, two halves that chase and intermingle with each other - one part I LOVE, the other - meh. Milton Lloyed have hinted here at 'something a bit like the general category of Euphoria' but they haven't captured this split complexity of Euphoria at all. Oh well, a local charity shop close to my heart will be benefitting from my mistakes so that's good!! Oh! Ps! I do think this is a dead ringer for Avon Treselle Mystique (had it, absolutely gorgeous bottle but not in love with the smell so passed it on), so if you like that one ..
