The Man Cobalt

Everyone will say you're wearing Dior's Fahrenheit. It is a fantastic smell but there is a difference though. Milton Loyd's version comes as a more concentreded version & it will start leading it own life 12 hours after you sprayed it. It will still smell like Fahrenheit & everyone will tell you that is what you wear but you will smell the other softer notes coming out bit by bit. This Cobalt is simply amazing. I can still smell it on my jumper 2 days later. Something that does not happen with Dior's version. Should Fahrenheit & this Cobalt be skipped because it came out in the 90's and because too many bad new fragrances have come out since then? I do not think so but go ahead and pay a £50 if you want a brand new fragrance that is not this good.

I've compared this to my 2003 and 2015 bottle of original Fahrenheit and I must say that this smell rather closest to the 2015 formulation! I sprayed the Cobalt to my left hand and the 2015 Fahrenheit on the right, and the opening is 99% the same very powerful, but after 15 minutes you can notice that the original smell little bit more intense and projects slightly better. After two hours both are gone from my skin! But the biggest plus for Milton Lloyd is that after the two hours you can apply it again and again as often you want, because it cost only 5€! So if you are on a budget, or you just love this scent so much (like me) and you don't want to spend your original bottle for more often use, this is definitely for you!

Roboflowers. The colouration for me a bright amethyst and emerald gears crashing into one another and grinding into a bright silver that calms down and tarnishes into a dirty musk. But definitely roboflowers and immature cucumbots made from gems and leather, emitting some ozonic gas, and fuelled by petrol. A real aesthetisation of a machine shop. Milton Lloyd are kind enough to even add some genuine hydrocarbons in the propellant to really boost the accord and for once this off note makes a welcome contribution. Should be in the pyramid, even. Like Angel, I am amazed and glad that people bought this in the 80s and so strange a fragrance became dupeworthy by Milton Lloyd. Similar principle too, sublime and gritty together.

I must agree, it's a so good/close dupe of Fahrenheit, the actual formulation. Very, very good performances for the price. The opening is strong, but the progress is smooth and long lasting, releasing gradually the aroma. For fans of this smell, try La Rive Hitfire which is closer to vintage Fahrenheit, but having less strong performances, unfortunately... I own 4 ML (Kudos - not in database, Bondage Homme, Pure Gold and this) and all are G R E A T! Kudos (Terre d'Hermes reloaded) is by far the best performer, but all have big longevity and projection. Smell 8.5/10 Longevity 7/10 Projection 6/10 Price 10/10

I only bought this because I made a joke about wanting to smell like WD40 being used in a wooden garage of someone restoring a 1970s Ford Cortina...... someone said to get Fahrenheit, but it's way too expensive for me...... so this dupe popped up and at £8 delivered, why not! This sounds weird, but to me the first few seconds it smells like fart spray! But dies down within a few minutes to a more leathery, rubber, oil smell..... which dies down further to an almost sweet smell? It's awesome! Going to try mixing it with one of my woody smellies, I think they'll mix really well.

I've searched a long time for the original Fahrenheit smell I had fallen in love with in my childhood. All of the reformulations have slowly, but surely taken the DNA away from the present version of Dior Fahrenheit. The first time I smelled this fragrance I was overwhelmed with nostalgia. This fragrance is very very similar to the original Fahrenheit, however, there is a faint pickle juice smell in the opening, therefore I cannot give it a 10/10. For the price and the quality this is an easy 9/10.

This allows me to save my Fahrenheit and get to 88% of the original with some very impressive staying power. If you like Fahrenheit, this is a no brainer at 10 bucks from a pure value proposition relative it's closeness to the OG. As a measure of how close this is, a few people at work and the pub picked up on this nostalgic DNA as Fahrenheit. Make of that what you will when reading some of the negative comments here. Milton Lloyd - The Man Cobalt is a very powerful clone of Dior Fahrenheit. Reminds me of the comparisons Armaf Club de Nuit Intense gets towards Creed Aventus, very close to the original in the smell but it is ultra powerful with projection and how long it lasts. The nozzle of Milton Lloyd bottles are like that of a deodorant so be careful when applying, spray too much and people can smell you a several rooms away!! For the price you pay, it is a steal!

Update: Fahrenheit it certainly is and at £5 for 50ml this is a steal. Smells great and longevity and projection are very good. Not huge but above the average mark I would say. I got quite a few M&L fragrances and for the price you pay you get a good return and this one is no exception. Smells great and a 7.5 score don't go amiss! You buy this you'll end up another satisfied customer! Great for around the house and popping out for half an hour!

Petrol. I like. Diesel and gasoline. Clean fresh manly gas station in a hot summer day with the wunderbaum tree on my imaginary convertible's rearview mirror :))) I tried fahrenheit at a store, on my skin, and it smells similar, maybe not that gas station, but more feminine. Not for me. THE MAN COBALT IS GREAT!!! Silver also. That's a different story. Thanks, Milton Lloyd.

Yes, this is a great copy of Fahrenheit EDT. No strange notes, just how it should be. Great performance too. you can not say it smells like Christian Dior's Farenheit, it is Farenheit except this version will last even longer on your skin as on your clothes & will not ruin you! The box & bottle isn't as nice as Dior's but the quality surely is equal if not even better. Dior's will not last that long. It's like a concentred eau de parfum version. Absolutely perfect

The best Fahrenheit clone in the world, stunning and beautiful, a must for all who love and enjoy this legendary icon. Lasts a good 10hrs on my skin and days on clothing, strong sillage for first hour or so before it settles. Currently £5.25 on Amazon for 50ml, I did go through a bottle in less than a week, will never be without this juice.

As noted by others, this is indeed an excellent copy of Fahrenheit. Smells very close, is strong and seems to last for a good time (6+ hours). I love this fragrance ! It's just beautiful ! It's the one that made me love Fahrenheit (while i couldn't stand it beforehand). The only thing : it's pretty weak, and does not last long... the good point is that it's very cheap, so you can reapply. If anyone has a clone with better longevity, please let me know !

For the price I think it smells really good. However, I really get a cucumber like smell in the opening that I'm not the biggest fan of. Once it's dry it smells nice, but then the longevity is nothing crazy. A 6 out of 10 for me overall. I'm still on the look for the best farenheit clone.

Excellent clone of Fahrenheit. Doesn't smell exactly the same in the opening but gets more similar as time progresses. Very good longevity and projection. As with all Milton Lloyds, the sprayer takes getting used to. Considering the very low price this is a 10/10.

Fantastic dupe of Fahrenheit Christian Dior for men, which is my husband's favourite. This smells identical, probably doesn't last as long, but at £5 it's just amazing, very sexy .....

Ive have an old bottle of Fahrenheit running low so was looking for a replacement. I've had various Fahrenheit products over the years but a replacement bottle now is about £80+ and the internet reviewed the newer bottles don't have the same power, but "The man" was the most affordable clone and quality closer to the original formula. I was skeptical, but then, a bottle of this was £5.50 for 50ml next day delivery so I gave it a try. After a minute this is *very* diesel fuel forward, where as with my OG Fahrenheit I personally found it much more cucumber-y and fresh that would then mix with the spice and earth notes. While I could see a petrochemical vibe it seemed to be evocative created through a combination of the included ingredients. With The Man, synthetic diesel fuel is injected directly into the center of this fragrance. IMO it feels like rather than trying to replicate the recipe, they are trying to mimic the outcome, and it's not subtle. If you start with Fahrenheit and add a bit, it is fresh and spicy, if you over-spray you get that petrol "vibe". If you start with The Man it's diesel fuel, with earthy spiciness that comes in later, and a lot of animalic notes between the two, which while not unpleasant, won't be for everyone. I get no freshness or cucumber-y notes at any amount of spray. That being said as a stand alone it's a very different fragrance, its very synthetic, diesel fuel and animal musk, it's a very masculine scent almost to the point of being "butch", I imagine layering this with a leather based frag would be interesting and popular with men at the club. Women could wear this, but not your bubble gum princess, your goth chics and wild "not like other girls" girls. Some fast and furious esque or cyber goth could add it to their spice or rose perfume probably because of the petrochemical notes. It's not the most nuanced but very unique in my limited experience and for the price of an expensive coffee definitely worth adding to your collection even if only for layering, but if you dont like diesel fuel you won't like this for the first few minutes, because that's all I pick up in the beginning.

I’ve not tried the original Fahrenheit but have always been intrigued by it due to its iconic status in perfumery. Always pretty lucky with Milton Lloyd dupes, they are usually amazing value and quality. I am female and yes the scent profile is definitely what one would describe as “masculine”, although I think wear whatever smells good to you regardless of gender. On initial spray this is really full on and very “masculine” and I totally get that rubbery/gasoline note everyone mentions in Fahrenheit. The reviews mentioning how Fahrenheit reminds them of the smells in a car repair garage are spot on! 😁 Not sure if I like that smell on me or not, however I do like this fragrance. I can see how Fahrenheit has served for the inspiration for many successive scents, it reminds me vaguely of quite a few men’s fragrances. This dries down to a very violet prominent, powdery scent on me which I really like, one which I think nowadays could be worn by a woman, given how ladies are wearing Dior Homme Intense, Naxos, etc. this fragrance is long lasting on me, even when sprayed on skin. To me it almost smells niche in its complexity. What I like about “men’s” fragrances is how they usually dry down so well to a really wearable and fresh scent bubble, never too in your face but enough for people to notice you smell good, something “female” fragrances don’t always tend to achieve. Would be interested to see how this wears in spring and summer (although perhaps not on a super hot summer’s day!) Props to Milton Lloyd for another outstanding perfume!

Stereotypes die hard, and this perfume, like Fahrenheit, should be only for men, I mean the real ones. Yet in the distant days when Fahrenheit came out, I had several female colleagues who wore it. On a woman's skin, a single drop of it made an explosion of shimmering violet, dry and shiny. Somehow metallic, mouthwatering and provocative ? Still today, when I wear a tiny spray of Cobalt, I have this same impression, a true fireworks, highly satisfying, solid, lively, a bit woody and leathery in a clean way, and that lasts and lasts for centuries. So, I do not respect the codes, and highly enjoy, me, as a woman, this little purple bright marvel.

Pretty close to Fahrenheit, which is a crazy price compared to the 90s when I was into it, and this is like £5 lol The price of the original seems to have gone stratospheric, like £1 a ml?? The rubbery note I get is like a bicycle inner tube. Cant go wrong at the price, and it actually smells fantastic layered with Grey Flannel

Very similar to EDT Fahrenheit, Extremely masculine and extremely cheap. Even my father (Not into fragrance) thought I stole his Fahrenheit when I wore this. Since its a clone of Fahrenheit its a very unique fragrance so I wouldn't call it blind buy friendly but with how cheap it is I would definitely say its worth the "risk".

Very close to Fahrenheit but there is a slight difference. Cobalt is initially stronger, more medicinal and is less smooth. In the dry-down, it becomes even more closer to Fahrenheit, but, Cobalt is more earthy. Longevity and silage are both very good. One the best copies I have tried. Cobalt is fantastic value for money.

Another banger from our friends at Milton Lloyd, I don't remember Fahrenheit smelling quite so much like petrol but the better half says it's exactly how she remembers it. Lasts ages, if you like vintage Fahrenheit you will love this.

It's very nice. Definitely in the Fahrenheit area but a little rougher. For the price it is amazing value. I just wish it didn't have a pressurised spray.

As somebody who was always in the middle with Fahrenheit, this is just a step too far. To me, Fahrenheit always had a smoother gasoline scent with masculine undertones, this fragrance just smells like a burnt tire turning to charcoal. It's absolutely horrendous and I had to wash it off as soon as possible. I was told by people around me it smelled okay, but when I brought my arm closer to them they also found it repulsive. It seems from a distance it gets weaker and smells alright, but the closer you are to it it just absolutely wreaks, which is why I couldn't keep it on for long before washing it off. Call me weak or "too young" for this fragrance, I probably am, but to me it's a definite no-no and left me disgusted. Back of the shelf it goes.

This smells disgusting. In fact, I disliked it so much that I tried to give it to a few friends, but even they didn't want me to give them this scent. The fact that they didn't want it could be proof that it's a perfume that wouldn't be taken even for free :D. I don't know what the original smells like maybe if I smelled that, I'd hate it too. If you like the original, you might like this one. Other than that, the performance is also terrible and it doesn't last long (which was a good thing for me)

Possibly the worst smelling fragrance ever. This has nothing to do with any Fahrenheit whatsoever. It smells like a wallpapered old concrete apartment filled with cheap furniture from the 80s + a dead mummified cat. Horrid.

for the money simply unbeatable ....dosent smell cheap,lasts and is bloody close to fahrenheit ,always have multiple bottles of this as theyre always cheaper to buy 3,5 or 10 imagine a dark concentrated parfum version with a heavy rubber leather side ,it feels like fahrenheit with less subtlety and more body .the original is brighter this is a bruiser ...recent batches of fahrenheit are wonderful but its sort of delicate and elegant,classy even ...this is a nasty version of fahrenheit and feels closer to what it was 30 years ago this is approx 10x cheaper ,projects better and lasts longer ,in terms of accuracy to modern fahrenheit its maybe 70% but it has a lot of qualities the original lacks so in terms of a juice thats as good and enjoyable its 90%+ .....i cant honestly give a sane reason to pay for real fahrenheit ,and i love that

I just bought it on Amazon, $7....which is ridiculously cheap. At the beginning it is too strong, definitely less "subtle" than its noble ancestor. It already has quite good parameters, better than MA Fortnight (although this one is a bit more nuanced), but both bottles, the one from Milton and the one from Alhambra, will wait quietly in the cupboard until next fall. Time is a very important factor here. I am confident that they will reach their full potential, I have already met these clones. This is a good prospect for such money.

Not bad. You could get away with some people thinking it is actually Farenheit but there is that gas station retro theme missing. Most certainly worth the 5 pounds i paid and longevity was 4 hours on clothes minimum. Not as accurate as the Man Silver, which has to be the best Milton Lloyd clone to YSL Kouros hands down. Victor 9 also i recommend is very close to Aventus Creed and longevity is pretty good, i purchased the 83ml version which apparently is more durable.

For Fahrenheit vintage lovers...... Buy two bottles of this (cheap as chips) Get an old refillable 100ml fragrance bottle or any empty 100ml bottle and spray the 2 Milton Lloyds into it. Buy a small bottle of mandarin essential oil and add 25 drops to the 100ml bottle. Give it a shake and leave it for a week......vintage Fahrenheit!!! The mandarin smooths out the roughness of the cobalt. And performance is great too 👌🏻

Just recieved this and I'm really impressed. I've only once smelled Dior Fahrenheit so it's hard for me to directly compare the two. With The Man Cobalt I pick up the lavender and citrus top notes, along with a floral (violet is listed on Fragrantica) and a strong leather base along with a little petrol. It's a really interesting scent and I don't have anything quite like it.

I've had this for a while and, never having had a chance to try Fahrenheit, the scent and performance blew me away. Then recently I had a chance to try it side by side with actual Fahrenheit and it's identical. There's no two ways about it. The same is true for The Man Silver by the way, which is a carbon copy of Kouros. Both highly recommend.

I have gone through a couple of vintage bottles of Fahrenheit in my time, and this is spot on to my nose! Unbelievable considering it costs less than a fiver!
