Tutu Woman

As a poor but somewhat image concious student I once treated myself to a bottle Chanel Coco Deodorant which back then was the only item of the range I could afford. Despite being in the very beginning of my fragrance journey I gathered that this was one of the iconic classic scents, a rite of passage in some way. So I do remember the famous fragrance this Milton Lloyd offering is supposed to be reminiscent of. As my fragrance collection has exploded over the last decade, I no longer use any one scent on a daily or weekly basis. But out of all Milton Lloyd fragrances I have tried, this is one that keeps delivering and I am blown away every time I use it. It's cheap as chips, and, it lasts wayyyy longer than the "expiry date" they print on the package. So I treasure my used and my backup bottle. As far as my memory goes, it is sufficiently close to Coco - but to be honest, if I had never heard of Coco and somebody had given me a bottle of Tutu, I would just declare it to be one of the best cheapies every. It is surprisinly long lasting on me, and unlike some other ML scents, all phases of its development are well blended. There isn't a very harsh opening and longevity and sillage are decent. The drydown is delicious, as long as you enjoy the type of scent - I would call it amber / spicy and a bit soapy as well.

I never owned Coco, but I have smelled it many times on other people and in the past. In fact, one of my clients seems to be wearing it these days, because as soon as I smelled Tutu I thought "ha, this smells like my client's perfume" and I know that she only wears Nr 5, Coco and Libre. As Tutu doesn't smell like Libre nor Nr 5 it must be Coco I seem to be smelling on her all the time. I immediately recognised it. Again, I have only ever smelled Coco in shops or on other people passing by, but I can still say that I recognised it in Tutu. I'd probably go as far as saying if I gave Tutu to my client and she'd wear Coco and Tutu on different days to test me, which day she wore which perfume, I wouldn't be able to tell. Maybe if I sprayed both on paper and would have enough time to go through every single note, maybe I could. Who knows. But sprayed on a person, no way. I couldn't. Incredible! And that for £5 per 50ml bottle. That's unbelievable. I'm so happy with Tutu. I think I'm going to try some more fragrances from ML.

I recently bought another bunch of ML fragrances, Tutu being one of them. I used Coco many years ago, probably before it was reformulated. My perfume tastes have changed a bit meanwhile but I was curious to walk down memory lane and remind myself of coco wihtout breaking the bank, so I sprayed myself with this. Admittedly, the first 20 mins were a bit harsh and not exactly bringing up the desired nostalgic memories. I thought for a moment if I had really bad taste when I was that age... but wait, after an hour and in fact for about 8 hours longevity, Tutu turns into an amazingly rounded elegant perfume. There I am, closing my eyes I can remember the time and place where I used to wear Coco and I am not let down. I also layered Tutu with a bit of Shalimar EDT and it was amazing together. I am a layering freak especially in winter and Milton Lloyd's fragrance could be a great addition to my chest of armour. So if you try this scent here please be patient, it will mellow down beautifully after the sharp opening!

Thanks to the review below,and this being so cheap, I thought I would surprise my lovely wife and buy her a couple of the 50 ml edt bottles. At first this smelt awfull and was choking us both out. But give it 15 minutes and yep, a sort of citrusy version of coco starts to come through. Half an hour later it starts to get nice and powdery with that slight vanilla in the heart. I would say give this a go,,1 bottle wont break the bank and you'll get to save the real juice just for special occasions.. Coco Chanel in my opinion is the most beautiful scent you could ever wish to smell on a women,,just pure class and so seduction and I never want my wife not to have it in her collection..but this is a good substitute..

I am amazed at the quality of this perfume for the price (50ml for £5.50 from Milton Lloyd's website). It was a blind buy but as soon as I sprayed it, I loved it. It is very similar to Opium, Youth Dew and Tabu, so if you like those fragrances you should like Tutu. As to longevity, when sprayed on the skin it lasts several hours, but on clothing I could still smell it the next morning! I can see myself buying this again in the future, well worth the money. Update. I have now tested Coco Chanel Eau de Parfum (which apparently this is supposed to be a copy of) and can say that Tutu Woman is pretty much identical and actually lasts longer (I was surprised at how quickly Coco started to fade).

WOW OMG what a excellent dupe of COCO. I own the original also and you can't tell the difference only in price 100 euro against 3,70. And it lasts for ages and remaining the same strength as in the beginning. Really i own 18 Milton LLoyd dupes and this a brand who knows how to make excellent dupes of the originals and sometimes even better. Some originals are very watered down the last couple of years and ML dupes have the strenght of the originals 20 years ago.

If you love Coco Chanel you will love this, excellent price and smells very much like the real thing. This is my fave Milton Lloyd fragrance and I wear it to work to save my real Coco. I have had lots of comments on how lovely I smell and I don't feel guilty having a "refresh" during the day when it's so affordable. Please try it, you will not be disappointed. Imagine if Coco had a summer version, enjoy!

Sweet warm resin woody with lemony zest and few flowers thrown in. Love the smell but the longevity is not long enough. Reapplying helps though. It can get expensive as used within one month but it is still the best of 12 ML range.

Intrigued by the supposed similarities to vintage Coco (and being desperately disappointed by its current formulation), I bought a bottle of ML Tutu and sprayed it on the back of my hand about an hour ago. Astonishingly for something so cheap, this really does remind me of vintage Coco once it's dried down on skin. Sillage isn't as great as I remember and I haven't assessed longevity, but at less than £5GBP for 50ml, it hardly matters if you respray every couple of hours. Word of warning, though - as with every Milton Lloyd spray - this doesn't gently mist your skin, it comes out of the nozzle like water out of a hose. Spray with caution.

Dark, woody, nearly resinous to my nose. Very potent and spicy, the cloves are edgy, it isn’t an easy fragrance. It has a provocative voice, something theatrical, costumed, and yes, remarkable. It’s a capricious diva in a bottle, for a ridiculous price. Good game. Ed: the warm smell is divine on the skin but last ages on the clothes, more powdered and peppery.

Tutu review 1.7 bottle. Give it half hour in the opening before the balsamic rose begins to develop. Is this COCO? If it was a cologne version you could perhaps say that but it doesnt have the weight COCO does. Its missing the peach note . I think this does better thinking if you like COCO and want a COCOish fragrance then yes, it does the job. The price is great so you really do get a lot for the price. I think it will be great layering with other ML fragrances or to extend your current wardrobe. Maybe spray this 3xs and COCO once.. Ill have to try that.

Among my 200+ colognes and perfumes, this one does NOT stand out in any respect... and I definitely don't detect a similarity to Coco Chanel edp. Sorry, but "Tutu" fails for me as a chypre fragrance. I can detect some citrus, cloves and jasmine, but, overall, this is a rather harsh, soapy, unpleasant scent. Longevity and sillage are barely perceptible. Where the rose and vanilla are, I do not know. Btw, I understand this fragrance used to have oakmoss as a component ~ that may have helped lend it body. This is my second encounter with Milton Lloyd perfumes; the other, "Look", is equally poor. Mind you, you cannot expect much from a "parfum de toilette" when the price is only US$5.50 for a fifty mil bottle !

petravesna Seriously? you say it gets expensive, wow! using 1 bottle per month at £5 would cost you a whopping £30 per year.....considerably less than Coco Chanel. And the real perfume is now so watered down that would would also be reapplying just as often, so if you price by 50ml bottles, with the longevity being approx the same so that re-application is needed at the same rate, working it out at £50 per 50ml bottle of Chanel coco.... it would cost £300 per year......10 times more! I cant believe you think the Milton Lloyd is expensive when you look at the price you could be paying for real Chanel.

I jumped from my coco chanel to this. I have many back ups of this because I love it. For a fraction of the price, who can complain? It lasts just as well and no one can tell the difference. When my mum used to stay over, she would use my original coco chanel and when I ran out she asked me if I had anything similar. Tutu didnt diasapoint my mum, she buys it now. Lol. A very good dupe. Out of all the milton loyd perfumes, this one stands out.

The first time I wore this it smelled gorgeous. Rich, beautiful, well blended cheapo. The second time I wore this 3 days later I got bitter fish oil note in the opening. It disappeared in 15 minutes or so, but surprise was unpleasant. Have to give it one more chance. Longevity and sillage are modest.

In the same olfactory category and a little bit as it dries down with COCO! I hated the first spritz in this one, but just wait half an hour and you"ll feel just a perfect green, clean, fresh quality soap. After a while I feel a very clear lily of the valley scent...an extremely feminine fragrance.

I cannot believe how this smell like COCO, I have a small amount of COCO left and done a test side by side and it is very much like , but not as strong..however I was so surprised. Really like this perfume and will buy it again. Oh Yeah
