DUNE ROAD

I love Min NY house and its strange creations! Dune Road is a unique smelling, unisex, warm weather daytime scent with dominant grass & seaweed submerged in sea salt and driftwoid with a beautiful vetiver drydown. I also get ozonic notes and cucumbers which blends wonderfully with the rest notes. I get also faint wormwood, noticeable musk and traces of cedarwood. With a few words, crisp ocean breeze with cucumbers! It feels almost artistic as many MiN creations. Performance is moderate overall. It slightly reminds me Bond No 9 Wall Street but Dune Road is totally safe, inoffensive, smoother and totally wearable. I wish it had the same performance as Wall Street. Update After trying it multiple times I took the decission not to buy it even if I loooove its strange freshness due to limited sillage/projection. On my skin Dine Road lives for about 6-7 hours as a skin scent with dominant vetiver but it doesn't projects. If it was a moderate I'd buy it on the spot. Nevertheless I still love its smell.. top shelf stuff.

A beautifully blended and layered fresh marine fragrance. While it opens with a burst of cool cucumber (at least to my nose), it later develops with a refreshing yet sublte pallette. So many of the notes (absinthe, cardamom, salt, seagrass, vetiver etc) seem to blend to an almost indistinguishable level giving shimmering, luxurious, sea side summer vibes. As it dries down further you get more of the driftwood and algae notes, becoming a more heavy and dusky beach in the late, breezy afternoon. It defs has an early 90s fresh, throwback feel but with more luxury bespoke and sometimes unexpected components, especially the absinthe, which seems to linger and lift the whole affair throughout.

Many perfumes out there are trying to dramatize a moment in a specific place or time. But the successful ones are very few and Dune Road is one of them for sure. This fragrance is right to the point; a scent of humid seaside and its salty breeze. Wet wooden deck and seaweed. Dune Road is very moist and fresh. It has a kind of salty sour smell. Reminds me of an algae salad I ate in a Japanese restaurant once. Not many people want to pay $240 for such a perfume that doesn't get many compliments I suppose. But I don't understand the low rating of this artistic fragrance! A realistic scent of seashore. Unique and suitably wearable.

Woooaaaahhhh. Just bought this because i love it :-) I clearly see non declared notes here. Most prominent, the cucumber. Smells reaaaaaally aquatic, very cucumber-ish, with a sea breeze background. Has a similar vibe to “un air de bretagne” but without citruses and with a lotta cucumber. I would describe it quickly as a cucumber with ocean breeze perfume, with a very slight latex background. Love it.

Thus cologne is very unique. I appreciate when a fragrance takes you on a journey to something new and different. Imagine walking on a beach after it rains. You can smell the salty water from the waves. The breeze starts to come in from the east after the rain storm. I can smell some type of tree or bushes in the background. This last a very long time. I can still smell this after 8 hours.

for me it a smell of a watermelon peel, after it was on the sun for an hour. still fresh and at first exciting my nose and can be very present for about 2-3 hours. if to use too much it might be suffocating.

I'm in love with this fragrance. I wish I'll buy it some day or get as a gift, it smells fantastic. I feel the water.

I don’t know which dunes the person who named this fragrance was walking among, but the name is completely opposite to the image that Dune Road evokes in my imagination. No dry sands or scorching sun – instead, the scent is marine and fresh, as if you're standing by the cool sea in the morning, with seaweed washed ashore by the tide and the rocky coast still damp. The ozone notes and absinthe fade within 10 minutes, leaving a marine, vetiver, and cedar base that remains almost unchanged afterward. I stop noticing it around me after 2–3 hours of application – if it lingers, it stays very close to the skin. It offers a subtle reminder of itself and won't bother anyone around you. A true unisex fragrance, although in my opinion, it would smell rather dull on a man.

A strong release from MiN New York. Dune Road comes across as a crisp, green, highly refreshing composition. The opening leans into the scent of freshly cut grass and damp soil. It is very natural, almost dewy in feel. As it settles, a soft, earthy vetiver emerges, adding a subtle depth without weighing things down. There's also a clean cucumber/melon facet running through the wear, likely driven by Calone, which gives it that airy, aquatic lift. It consistently reminds me of Un Jardin Après la Mousson. It has that same understated, elegant freshness with a refined, minimalist touch.

Interesting realistic aquatic with a seaside type of vibe. The opening is aquatic and aromatic notes including ozone, algae, absinthe and slight cardamom. The heart has more deep aquatic notes such as seaweed, sea grass, driftwood, sea salt and more calonic notes. The perfume settles on a woody base of cedar, musk and slight vetiver. The unisex scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. Not hugely wearable but very very evocative. Enjoy!

I was ready to hate it because I dislike aquatic and salty notes. But I definitely make an exception for Dune Road, because it's mostly green (the most realistic grass notes I've ever tried), it's so fresh and energetic. It smells of aquatic plants and mint, of clean running water. Drydown is more minty, like a candy. The most sporty fragrance of the line, more manly imo, doesn't give its best on me.

Fresh cucumber fragrance with green melon notes. Smells a little bit like salted sugar and vinegar cucumber salad at first. It evolves for the better. Perfect for Summer. Distant marine in the background. Driftwood and salty. Nice drydown and friend in the hot weather. One way to cool the Summer swelter. You need the relief. Been on a Blue or Oceanic buy lately and saw this one seems popular.

Its mostly watery notes, grass, cucumber, with a bit of salt sprinkled on top. After a while a vague driftwood accord emerges which adds nothing to the composition. Overall, Dune Road is a boring, forgettable scent, that could have been a reconstructed attempt at Nautica Voyage, but was a drastic failure instead. An aquatic overall, and a bad one at that.

Fragrance that impressed me positively, I am constantly looking for perfumes that have watermelon or cucumber as olfactory notes, because they catapult me into a relaxing, fresh, zen oasis I would say... well I bought this perfume precisely for this reason, as soon as I sprayed it it literally invaded me a smell of grass or rather of freshly cut grass enzymes, perhaps too realistic to the point that I decided to give up and not buy it, which is very wrong with this brand, it needs to be given time to evolve.... Yes, because it really evolved in a way that I never expected, slowly, very slowly! After about an hour it starts to change, the green mood fades a lot, I can finally smell a salty, more marine predominance, without necessarily smelling that annoying (for me) calone smell, but rather brackish, fresh, it becomes more and more transparent aquatic , and here finally begins the real magic that this perfume transmits to me personally, a fresh, clear aura, a hint of freshly cut cucumber delights my sense of smell, this is what I want in this perfume! A walk on a shoreline where waves crash repeatedly, a sea that is not at all calm, I smell a salty, fresh smell, with dunes that bring just enough of a green smell, of intense grass, the transparency mixed with salinity wow.... I love it. It is certainly a perfume to be listened to not only with the sense of smell but also with the heart because it manages to describe very well in my mind a picture, a painting, some colors, moderate sillage, it doesn't scream, it whispers... average longevity, I can perceive it after 5/6 hours, Perfume that made me fall in love even if I don't love Marini, I definitely recommend trying it, this brand makes particular compositions in my opinion, above all you have to let it evolve for several hours before deciding to purchase, in fact initially it was a definite no..... but you know... there is an old saying that says: he who despises, buys! Never was it more apt.

The Hamptons’ Dune Road is home to a stretch of oceanfront properties where verdant knolls and sand dunes converge. This scent aims to capture that environment by placing grass notes against a musky, salty backdrop. This is mainly grass, verging on more botanical blue grass kind of notes (cedar leaf, armoise etc.) against a marine backdrop that renders the scent as a shade of gray/teal. Vetiver is present, but subdued, and a botanical musk lends an airy quality to produce a fairly conceivable image of a beachfront space. With that said, I’m not sure who would want to smell like such a place as it’s a plausible rendering with a fairly hefty algae facet, and I can’t help but think that this may have been better suited as a candle of some kind. Dune Road's intriguing for sure and it wears more comfortably than it sounds, but it's perhaps not as easy to slip into as some of the others in the line.

I wanted to like this but on skin it ended up smelling like the shared shower stalls at a local pool. Chlorine, lukewarm water, soap scum. I get a sense of seaweed and seawater, but they're obscured by dirty vetiver and an odd warm, mineral note of some kind- like the salt is weighing it down and further suggesting a suffocating chlorine concentration. It turns grassier and scratchier over time. It's unique, maybe even charming for the right person, but for me it's a little too much like wilted greens and there are better salty marine scents out there.

I was expecting this to be a car crash, but it's surprisingly ok. In fact more than that, it's rather interesting, all be it, not something I would wear myself. The aquatic greenness, the tang of the salt, the smooth, slightly lactonic quality of the musk and the rustic woods invariably bring my mind back to one rather simple accord: melon. Of course I get the driftwood and beachy maritime air, but ultimately I think of a ripe melon, its sweet/salty flesh and its hard bitter skin. Very fresh, green and uplifting, but just not to my taste.

This opens to my nose as pure cucumbers. Yes, I like the smell of cucumbers, but it lacks the typical top, mid, and base note construction. In other words, it doesn’t transition much except it gets more chemical. Overall, it seems so chemical that “acetone” comes to mind. In fact, I know Dune Road costs $100.00 per ounce, and it isn’t really unpleasant, but I can’t get past that acetone association, and it doesn’t seem to be anything more than a blend of cucumber oil and nail polish remover. I can certainly live without it.

The opening of Dure Road is all about fresh cut grass, brand new latex / rubber and a potent marine accord. Basically an unused condom neglected at the beach. The fragrance turns then into a mash-up between the thin and sour woody-vetiver base of most Hermes in the Les Jardins series and a whatever post-90s aquatic thing. Eccesively weird at first and outdated during the final stages. Insanely long lasting. Rating: 4.5/10
