FOREVER NOW

Dull and dusty, but with coriander and smoky notes almost as sacred as Sorcinelli's "Unum-LAVS," "Forever Now" gives me a sense of gratitude for the quiet moments and devotions in beautiful churches I've frequented time and again. Fragrance: 8,5/10, Longevity: 8/10, Sillage: 7/10.

I like this scent for the woody/incense drydown but I dislike it for the weak sillage/projection. The opening has noticeable aldehydes but as time passes becomes faint. There is also spicy coriander. After that a beautiful but light incense note appears and stays till the end. At the final stages comes to the surface a woody vibe with leathery traces along with incense. Stunning scent but it's quite ethereal like many creations from Liquides Imaginaires, for example. Other noticeable notes are cedarwood and sandalwood. It is suitable for mild and warm weather, spring/fall/summer, day and night. Great versatility. Similar scents with the same vibe Loewe Anonymo 7, Ajmal Grey.

Caught incense and pink peppercorn on the top notes. Dry down really fades. Reminds me of Full Incense by Mancera or a Comme des Garçon Incense lines. Mancera and Comme des Garçon I am loyal.

I was searching for a nice incense perfume, and indeed this one opens with a captivating spicy-smoky incense slightly reminiscent of some of Filippo Sorcinelli's works which I enjoyed a lot. The disappointment comes later, when it becomes such a nauseating and dull mix of sweet labdanum and leather that I was really conscious of wearing it in public. For that alone it's just not worth the price, honestly. Yet if you can overlook the drydown it's quite enjoyable in a melancholic way

This is a pink pepper and coriander bomb. The opening is a hard no for me. Not waiting for anything more.

If you can imagine an Avignon that is more aldehydic, a bit more pink-peppery, and a little more ambery. The coriander-sandalwood combination balances the dry-dusty, and makes it a bit warmer, which is lovely. Still, quite spicy. I usually don’t like incense-perfumes, but this is quite easy to like. A very modern incense. Similar to the style of Mark Buxton, but different. It’s not dense or thick, but surprisingly light and versatile. It’s very nice, but Avignon is still the best in this genre. In the end, this has too much pink pepper, to the degree it stings your nostrils. I agree, this combination of incense-pepper is also very reminiscent of the style of Filippo Sorcinelli. Perhaps more Sorcinelli, rather than Buxton actually.

You MUST like incense to wear this, because that's what is front and center. A great winter scent because it envelopes you like a blanket or a strong hug. I like this fragrance because it is warm and captivating and has a bit of a mystical feel to it with the incense/resins/woods, but I fear I smell too literally like a church.

I'm getting absolutely NO incense at ALL from this. None at all. I'm getting generic sweetness, aldehydes and a little bit of basey-funk (woods, labdanum, resin), but what I get MOST of all is synthetic sweetness. Can't say I dislike this scent or anything at all negative, but I am not particularly enjoying it. Not for me...
