LONG BOARD

I love this scent! It's a fragrance that effortlessly combines elegance with a hint of boldness. It starts with fresh, crisp notes and transitions into a rich, woodsy base, making it suitable for both day and night. The scent strikes a perfect balance between complexity and smoothness, leaving a memorable and unique impression.

The absolutely gorgeous scent of orchards and orange gardens on the California coast. Pacific breeze mixed with orange blossom sweetened and slightly powdered with coconut. I definitely recommend to lovers of cheerful sunny fragrances with a touch of white fresh flowers.

Really great fragrance. Not like your typical summer scents. Its a unique one but still wearable. Salty coconut with smooth creamy vanilla and marine notes.

This is a lot different from what you are expecting when you see the note pyramide. Long Board is not a happy and bright coconut scent as you can think. It is a slightly smoky and leans towards masculine scents. Deep and sensual, nothing playful here. Usually I don't like coconut fragrancies but this is something different. On my skin this is not an aquatic scent. Sea notes are at the background supporting the blend and never become dominant. According to my nose dominant notes are orange blossom, coconut, cardamom and slightly smoky vanilla. There are also mild amber and vetiver. Sillage and projection are moderate. Longevity is above the average about 6h. It feels better in spring-summer daytime. Versatility is also great.

In Long Board, the suntan lotion accord is clearly the star of the show. The orange blossom plays a key role here, pushing that familiar Coppertone style sunscreen vibe to the forefront. That beachy effect, combined with a subtle seawater accord, creates a surprisingly realistic impression of a day by the ocean. It brings to mind what Christopher Brosius did with At The Beach 1966, capturing that same nostalgic, sun soaked atmosphere. Overall, this is a very evocative scent that leans heavily into its theme and delivers a convincing beach day experience.

For a long time I was wondering which perfume will give me an authentic sunscreen vibe. And Long Board is such a fragrance. But it is much more than that. The maritime notes ensure that salty nuances are added to the sunscreen, as if I was gifted with a few minutes alone with the ocean after a walk on the beach. Fragrance 8/10, longevity 8/10, sillage 7/10.

There is something here that brings to mind however briefly... worn underwear. After a sunny day at the sunny beach slathered in sunscreen. Not a bad scent, just more of an experience than something I'd like to wear.

Nice fragrance but not something I would wear. I a bit to femme for my personal taste. I would enjoy smelling it on my wife.

MiN run a great shop, but none of their house fragrances impress me much, and none so far comes close to justifying the price tag. IMHO they still need to prove their skill in perfumery - lots of good ideas, but questionable execution. And their marketing-speak and membership thing just come across as pretentious to me. Life, and perfume shelf-life, are too short for artificial exclusivity. Weird sunscreen-on-skin accord in this one. I can get that for pennies by rubbing sunscreen on my skin.

What would you expect from a fragrance called Long Board? If your answer is a coconut / floral scented tanning lotion with aquatic undertones, then that's what you get here. If you like the genre it's ok but remember you can smell like this for 20 bucks. To me? This was a total scrubber. Rating: 4/10

This one uhm ain't all that. Sun Tan lotion in a bottle.

I knew I wasn't going to like it, because I loathe marine notes, I don't know what's wrong with this blend but it leaves genuine urine smell on my skin. Flunked. I still love MiN a lot, though.

Unconventional and somewhat challenging. I think this perfume from the onset requires someone with an open mind. Just reading from the notes. Coconut along marine notes? With vanilla and cardamom... and sunlotion on top of that? It’s unconventional. Sounds fun. And a bit messy. It turned out it wasn’t actually as messy as expected. It holds together quite well. Although one word comes to mind: ’funky’. Not sure if it’s a good thing or not. It’s definitely interesting, for sure. I really like when a perfume challenges your expectations of what a perfume is, or should be. There are of course more radical examples, but Long board also pushes this envelope to some extent. A bit gourmandish even. It’s quite dense and creamy. A bit sweet, and sort of floral-fresh. A summer gourmand to be worn at the beach? It’s really a strange story. It’s a niche perfume after all. Definitely not for everyone, but it was fun to try. Only for the experimental ones, seeking out something unusual.

MiN is a strange house and the real issue isn't the blending so much as it is the performance. Long board of course has a suntan lotion vibe but if that's all you smell, try it again. This is an aquatic white floral vanilla salt coconut scent. It misses the brilliance of Naomi Goodsir's Or Du Serail on this vibe scent wise and definitely on performance but has hints of MFK's Petit Matin that I really like. If you had to wear this, you would be smelling good and inoffensive but ultimately generic compared to thetwo other fragrances I just mentioned. Scent: 5/10 it's not bad at all just generic and could have used more depth or nuance. Projection: 3/10 does push a bit at rest to the point of being smellable. Sillage: 2/10 has some bouyancy when in motion but very little train if any. Longevity: 5/10 bout five hours before reapplying. Meh. Would I buy a bottle? No. Nothing truly special even there there is nothing bad per se. For this kind of money, there are better choices.

This smells to me like a big, candied tuberose with some white blossoms in the background. The floral notes split the difference between green and powdery, injecting a slight crispness and preventing the scent from becoming too mawkish. The overall effect is a fragrance that nods its head to the lipstick iris genre, but comes at it from a different and much more floral perspective. However, once the opening subsides, the sweetness really hits the gas, smelling more and more candied as the scent develops. Fortunately, this phase also subsides and transforms into a hum of sweet and powdery musks with a distinct shampoo-clean feel.

A sweet, pleasant citric-centric (ha!) scent that reminds me of something Byredo or someone else did. The sea water note is not of the standard salt-heavy variety you may or may not be familiar with. It's there, but not overbearing. The vanilla is also playing behind the scenes, but not overly present. Its work with the coconut is somehow making it less gourmand than I hoped (from reading the notes), but by and large, a pleasant scent. Not for me, though. At this stage in my life, I look for weird, unique or a mix of the both. Nice though...

It's like a lily bouquet and a lemon pastry with a lot of heavy cream. But... It is baked on a thick layer of animal fat! Which is not unpleasant, just saying. And for some reason there's also a tiny layer of cucumber on top. And a lot of aldehydes, which makes it smell vintage, expensive, and actually very complex. It's probably the most complex fragrance in the line.

I like some of Min's fragrances a lot... But this smells just like Margiela's Beach Walk for double the price...not worth it...I usually have more to say about a fragrance but this doesn't inspire me at all... That's It... SIMPLYPUTSCENTS

Orange blossom?? I'm mostly just getting a synthetic dose of tuberose sprayed with salt water. Sharp, fresh, aquatic floral...not particularly exciting. Smells a bit like bath salts and body lotion.
