Kingside

Got travel size to test, it’s a beautiful fragrance but right of the bet it reminds me of several fragrances. Starts out with creamy sweet slightly zesty nutty gourmand like Novitus Embrace / Italica / Dialma. They are not dupes in anyways but definitely similar profile. I even get slight hits of lavender? Upon initial spray in the beginning which might be cardamom I think, by the dry down what surprised me, the fragrance on my skin completely changed, and became nutty almost slightly chocolate like boozy vanilla which reminds me of my beloved Feu de Bengale or even van Cleef and Arpels Orchedee Vanille, as well as House of Silage Wonder Women, so pretty much in that direction. While on my shirt I still get the nuances of the beginning stage of the fragrance. It’s very interesting, and the way it’s changing is really unique. Definitely mind game with this one. To sum it up I think it’s full bottle worthy and I will be getting one. It will be ideal for cooler fall weather. One more think I’ll add as much as it compares to other fragrance, I do like Kingside the best compare to other nutty fragrances. Navirus Embrace is beautiful but stays pretty the same, Italica gets cloying at the dry down so I will be letting it go eventually. Dialma is gorgeous on its own and leans more soapy and clean at dry down. Kingside more complex than Kayali. As for the vanillas I mentioned they are just to compare and they have their own place and time. All different. With that said if you enjoy any of the fragrances mentioned you would enjoy kingside. It’s a love for me.

If you haven’t smelled Kayali Yum Pistachio, this is a “WOWWw”, but if you had, it is a “WHAT??!!”, “WTFff”. Kingside takes Yum Pistachio’s DNA, enhances the nuttiness quality, tweaks the powdery sweetness down and is successfully marketed toward men with 3x the price(I can imagine the OG ladies fans die-laughing of how dumb men are when they are allowed to have what women have). Despite knowing what this is, I like the scent. They nailed the nutty pistachio in it. It is deeper, denser and less alcohol-smell in the opening compares to the OG. The nuttiness of pistachio smells smoother/richer/better and also stays through out the fragrance’s life. It has nuances of other ingredients like cardamom, rum, hazelnut and tonka that added characters while the OG is only prominent with pistachio note and every other notes are synthetically buttery sweetness. The drydown is also less powdery sweet than the OG with touch of powdery almond and warm tonka. Just buy Kayali Yum Pistachio if you want a dupe of Kingside. There are no better dupe since Kingside is a dupe itself. I hate the fact that it is a glorified dupe, but it is ducking good, It’s a guilty pleasure and I would buy a bottle, even though there are greater creative artistic quality and materials from Chanel, Amouage, Guerlain, and other niche house for the same price as Mind Games. Sometimes I just want to smell of what I adore.

Kingside surprised me in the best way possible. The opening hits with a gorgeous blend of creamy pistachio, bright grapefruit, and warm cardamom — smooth, vibrant, and instantly impressive. It feels luxurious right from the start. As it settles, the mix of roasted hazelnut and a soft rum note brings a rich, addictive warmth, perfectly balanced by a touch of peony that keeps everything airy and polished. The drydown is where Kingside seals the deal: almond milk, Peru balsam, and tonka bean melt into a creamy, comforting base that feels effortlessly elegant and ridiculously pleasant on the skin. It’s nutty, warm, modern, and exceptionally well-blended — one of those rare gourmands that feels both cozy and upscale. Honestly, an absolute standout. If you don't care about the price, this will rule in your collection. My score: 9.8/10

8.4/10 for me personally, was quite impressed, one of their best masculine leaning ones. I personally don't get any of the top notes at all, I immediately get thrown straight into the hazelnuts and the balsam, the almond milk also controls the balsam base really well. Its kind of basic with the "nutty" theme, but certainly an interesting take on the style. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the perfume oil used seems to be more concentrated or of higher quality compared to the usual stuff they make, which is why they might be up-charging for it. Very hard perfume to review and describe, so I would just suggest sampling this when possible, or going to one of the stores that has testers of them. Also forgot to mention, seems to be a very versatile scent in my opinion, but might just be me.

I'm going to sound like a sycophant for the praise ii want to heap on this scent!! A true nutty gem with creamy incense. Out the box goodness. And it goes on with a solid atomizer dispensing quite a bit of juice. Also, the presentation on this? Boss! This company is like here's our composition built around 2 main notes, and here's those notes for you to distinguish. Give this to the person in your life that you love and who is a lil' bit pinky-up fancy! Nutty, vanillic, incensey banger. Wear it year round. Unisex. Excellent longevity. Fairly linear. Moderate sillage (these scents have high oil content making sillage more moderate) 4.5 overall

I am a pistachio lover and this is a beautiful pistachio fragrance. I have smelled Kayali YPG, but last year, I opted to go with Zimaya Inekas Solis because I did not feel YPG was worth its price point due to its linear complexity and weak sillage and longevity. Fast forward to this year, and Kingside, while it is an expensive niche perfume, I definitely felt it was worth my coin. It was love at first sniff for me and even for my son. Its saltier, nuttier, and boozy nuances make it quite different than YPG/IS. It's also beast mode, so I can enjoy smelling myself without having to raise my arms to sniff my wrists. I absolutely love Kingside!

I remember smelling a very small sample of this at Neimans before they even had any bottles in store and I kid you not.. I have thought about this fragrance every single day since.. and that was MONTHS ago! By FARRRRRRR the best pistachio forward fragrance I have ever smelled in my entire life. I recall it lasting insanely long with my skin chemistry too. Absolutely delicious. Absolutely divine. Absolutely addicting! Y’all need to try this literally asap. I can only pray to have a bottle in my collection one day

So, when i first tried this, the smell is heavenly and I'm not a gourmand lover but it smells really smooth and the grapefruit cuts the sweetness just a little bit. It’s super creamy and after the first 30 minutes the projection goes lighter so I thought!! I thought it was gonna be another longevity challenge like with some mind games but I kept getting wafts hours after my small initial spray. This is a really good offering by mind games and was full bottle worthy for sure. 10/10

Beautiful and unique gourmand. Nutty straight off the start but blended so well. The Cardamon, Tonka Bean and im guessing the Peru Balsam gives it this slight spice that doesn't let the pistachio, hazelnut and Almond become too overwhelming. Saying all this when smelling it on skin. But when it comes to projection the blend is so alluring and addictive. You cant pick any one note out from the projection you jusf know you smell good and you smell edible.

Kingside kind of reminds me of the hazelnut flavor of Bailey's liqueur. There's an unexpected addictive quality to this juice, especially in the opening, and I got a couple unsolicited compliments from random people when I wore a decant of this out to dinner recently. My girlfriend also raved about it, and she's typically totally indifferent about most things I wear. Very impressed with this release, just wish the price was more reasonable.

I don’t usually go for gourmands, but Kingside surprised me in the best way. It’s a wearable, well-crafted gourmand that doesn’t go overboard. The composition feels focused—there aren’t too many notes fighting for attention, and what’s there is done really well. It’s sweet but not cloying, warm without being heavy, and has just enough edge to keep it interesting. I ended up buying a bottle because it stands out in a genre I normally avoid.

I happened to acquire a sample of this and wow, this is my new fall favorite. I know I’ve smelled kayali pistachio, I don’t remember having an opinion on it, but I don’t usually care for Kayali. This? Smooth, nutty, boozy, but not almond in a hypnotic poison way. Almond in a desserty pastry way, but not too sweet. Not too often these days do I have a love at first sniff moment. Sadly over my budget...

Words maybe not be able to describe this fragrance but i'll do my best because this fragrance is my favorite of all time. The instant draw of pistachio luring you deeper into an amazing symphony of hazelnut and rum. While those notes envelope your senses you realize that this symphony's conductor is an intimate blend of almond, balsam and tonka. I can't stop smelling it and i'm so glad I own it.

I’ve never tried anything quite like this before. I haven’t really focussed on nutty fragrances and perhaps that’s why. It opens with a citrusy and nutty scent, especially hazelnut to my nose. However, it quickly transitions into a more creamy, nutty, woody and subtly boozy dry-down. Overall it’s exceptional from beginning to end with decent longevity and sillage.

This is my favorite from Mind Games. Lionara is a close second, but Kingside stands out because if its beautifully rich, nutty sweetness with a slightly syrupy depth. It’s just straight-up addictive. Strong Hazelnut opening. Not nutella, but almost there. Spectacular Dry down after 1+ hour. Slight Rum makes it smell mature, nuts make it a feel-good scent. If this is your signature scent, you'll stand out. Creamy and smooth amazingness. Don't overspray, longevity is great, sillage is good. Do not blindbuy: please get a tester first!

One of the best things I have ever smelled. The best pistachio toffee confectionary with some rum. I think its more on the masculine side but anyone could probably wear it. Out of my whole collection, and it's big, this is an instant top 5. Price is steep but a no brainer to me.

This is such a dark, sexy, boozy pistachio!!! Grown up SDJ. If you love nutty scents this is an absolute MUST in your collection. Love the peru balsalm and tonka in this, masterfully blended with the pistachio. Mind Games nailed this!!

This is probably the best pistachio fragrance I’ve ever tried. I find it to be a very true pistachio. That is very unisex maybe slightly masculine leading but mostly unisex. So far this is my favorite from the house.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one smells exactly the same as Italica but a little less sweet and with a faint pistacho note. Overrated as all the house.

It was a hate at first sniff this is my first failed mind games but who knows maybe it will become something I like or even love in the future but as of now it’s a hot mess just nasty and sour something is throwing it off it could’ve been a masterpiece if it changes I will update but I can ensure you it’s not a safe blind buy but I will say queenside is better for a woman!

Comfortable and airy. I did expect much more density from this in all the tests I've done. Smells more candle-like than a body fragrance. Ambient aroma vs personal aroma - smells great for an environment/ house but nothing attractive or even personable about it. Not something I usually emphasize, but pricing is absurd on it, though quality and presentation are luxurious.

Nuts, slightly alcoholic, Rich, beautiful and creamy. One of the better ones from Mind Games.

It reminds me of nutella, I don’t want to smell like nutella

Not even for going to sleep. I usually test the fragrance if i have doubts about scent or performance at night when going to sleep. And this did not pass the test. Ok, it's not that bad. But boy, those first 15 minutes that sweet, nauseating smell of pistachio hits every olfactive nerv in your system. After that, it starts to settle to a more creamy vanellic pistachio but still not for me. Whore it two night straight and i got to say, that on the second night, still the same feeling. Definitely sample first. It's very challenging. Try it on a 2 ml sample.

Picked up a sample of this and the best way to describe it, it smells like sweaty cinema, with popcorn if you like a sweaty cinema with popcorn this is going to be right up your alley. no this is not hate, im simply trying to convey what i pickup from the scent, i tested a 3ml decant.

Nasty, synthetic pistachio fragrance. Another scam/failure from mind games. Don’t believe any of the paid for, positive reviews here.

This house is straight garbage

So this is just my opinion . No offence to anyone who likes this - I do have respect for you . Anyway, for me this smells like calpol ( cough syrup ) mixed with a slight tinge of Hazelnut . Horribly sweet and nauseating . And very strong, not in its projection or longevity, but in its impact on skin . My arms came out in a burning rash 20 minutes after spraying on them . Now thats probably just me; I have slightly sensitive skin, but in general I feel it is just quite powerful . I can understand how for some people this could be wearable in winter, although for me it is just way way way to sweet . If you sprayed any more than 4 times, I feel like you'd throw up . I love mindgames, great great brand - this is just not for me .

To me this smells similar to the dry down of TK's Pistachio Latte but much more refined. It also smells similar to Kayali's YPG but without the soapy/aromatic side of it. The hazelnut along with the base notes are what makes this stand out in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it smells sophisticated and you can definitely sense the quality of ingredients but the price is a bit absurd for what you get. Is it a luscious, sweet, and well performing gourmand typical of the quality of fragrances Mind Games puts out? Yes. It is a groundbreaking scent profile? For me, no.

This is *extremely* reminiscent of Kayali's Yum Pistachio. It’s really a dupe if I’m being honest, that’s how close the two scents are. However, what made me pick up a bottle of this over the Kayali is the fact that it's far more distinctly nutty to my nose, much smoother, and it doesn't have the soapy quality that I get from Yum Pistachio that made it smell like bubble bath soap to me. Really loving this scent and can see myself wearing it year round.

I completely agree with nativelocal. And I do not find this masculine at all. The name Kingside does not connect imo. This is feminine-leaning Unisex gourmand. Very similar to KAYALI Yum Pistachio Gelato but better quality, more smooth, not soapy. It's kind of like saying that Yum is masculine. It's also perfectly feminine too, so don't let the masculine comments turn you off from trying it if you're a female.

This smells exactly like how those almond cookies at the Chinese buffet taste. The pistachio is immediate but doesn't last long. As the pistachio fades, the hazelnut pops out with a touch of citrus. It's a really nice scent, but maybe not $475 nice. Performance seems to be about 4-5 hours until it becomes a skin scent. YMMV.

This smells nothing like I excepted from the notes. Yum Pistachio Gelato smells like lime Kool-Aid, and this smells like cherry lime Kool-Aid. I don’t get any nuttiness or creaminess. The sweetness faded a little when it dried down, but it was still giving Kool-Aid.

Pistachio hater here. The first ten minutes were heaven, the tonka/almond is incredible. Then the drydown is like full pistachio, really well done, but awful to my nose. Also it is a beast fragrance so... Be aware when you test it on skin.
