Queening

Reading through these reviews is baffling. One person said they wondered if they got a wrong sample and I think it's possible a few people did, because Queening is NOT fruity and it's not overpowering at all. There's just no way you're testing Queening if that's what you're getting. So I think you're testing QueenSIDE??! I was confused myself with the names but QueenSIDE is a very strong, fruity fragrance, while QueenING is soft, cozy, slightly powdery vanilla. It dries down to something like a cotton ball spritzed in lightly sweet coconut rum and vanilla cream. It's beautiful and ethereal and yes light. I wish it was just a notch more powerful but I'd still grab it however ONLY during a sale. I'm sure there are plenty out there who want total assurance (and have a lot more money than me) and enjoy buying directly from the house and pay full retail. I'm not part of that group. I have many niche and designer very expensive fragrances, all authentic, and I almost never pay full retail. I rarely go over $250, usually it's under $200 and I have Roja, Xerjoff, Initio, Bond No 9, Parfum de Marly and Mind Games. IMO I think it's crazy to pay $350-$500+ on a bottle of basically scented water. Don't get me wrong, I love that scented water and still shudder to think how much I've paid over the years. But I think rich people can be very gullible paying those prices because with just a little effort, you don't have to. Oops, off my soap box.......Back to Queening! This IS BEAUTIFUL but I agree quite light. It sits right on the skin but even so it has surprisingly good longevity. So when I first spray it is moderately strong and it stays that way for a long time versus a beast like Bond No 9 Greenwich Village, which is strong right away but dramatically decreases as time goes on. I can still smell Queening on my clothes the next day. Because of that, if you enjoy cottony vanilla ethereal type scents, I think this is a treasure (on sale;) The only hitch Mind Games doesn't go on sale very often, so keep your eyes open and when it does I suggest snatching it up!

I don't know how to phrase this in way that comes across. It's like you spilled a milkshake all over your shirt in the best possible way. One of the most delicious smelling vanillas I have ever, ever smelled. The cotton and coconut don't really have their own identity in this fragrance, they blend right in to the vanilla and just make it so much richer, deeper and luxurious. On clean skin I get a lot more of the apple from the top. I'm not joking when I say I've never smelled a gourmand so beautiful. It's sugary, but icy, crisp, and refreshing. Its rare to me to find a sweet scent that dodges being cloying completely, but this manages to do it with no headache. It's sugary without being sticky, fresh without being soapy. It's blended so excellently, and the lifespan is long and linear. I am so gagged that the bottle is so expensive, because it's not a unique enough combination to feel like that's worth the investment for me.. but I'm in love. If this kind of realistic and fresh gourmand is your thing, I do think that it could be worth the price for something formulated so well. I'm addicted. Finally, not really important but.... why is it called queening? Not really a powerful or flamboyant scent, certainly not a face-sitting vibe either. It's cute more than anything else, nothing queeny about it. It's a terrible name for this fragrance, I don't get it.

This scent is quite subtle and totally intimate, beautiful and pampering Coconut Vanilla with soft clean musk. There is a hint of Apple in the opening but it’s not juicy nor clearly fruity, it’s silky and dreamy. Iris makes this powdery but it’s not like in those many Iris perfumes which I love. As a scent, it’s almost totally hidden. The texture of the scent is creamy and fluffy and it feels as soft as clouds look like when watching those through the window on the plane. A little hint of Rum plays hide and seek. I like this scent exactly how it is since if it was stronger it would be cloying. Sometimes less is more. I have worn this a lot as a bedtime scent. It’s so cocooning and relaxing. I may write more detailed review in the future. The best way to describe it is this: It's like cuddling up in a luxurious, soft, cosy cashmere sweater: I love you, Queening! Like all the softest things are packed inside. It opens with a light citrusy vanilla. I think the citrus here comes from the green apple. But I would never call it an apple-dominant scent, it just says hello in the beginning and then retreats. In the middle; a soft but strong vanilla, a lactonic note that really resembles whipped cream and a very noticeable powdery note. The rum here smells like 'Malibu' and gives the fragrance a slight boozy warmth, but it is not overpowering. I couldn't pick out the saffron in this soft sweetness. It says goodbye to the scenes with its soft, embracing trinity of vanilla-powder-musk. I thank the creator of this fragrance for giving me this feeling! I’m reading other reviews and I literally feel like some of these folks have a faulty bottle or something. As someone who generally hates any scent featuring vanilla... this is absolutely divine. Incredibly unique and special fragrance. It’s light and fluffy, but complex and unisex. It feels like waking up next to a lover at the end of the honeymoon stage of a relationship - there’s warmth and it’s floaty, and it feels comfortable, but there’s no baggage. The green apple dances with the cotton. It cuts through at the opening and carries some major fresh/crisp vibes and is complimented by the powdery creaminess of the Orris and the coconut. But it isn’t soapy or too “clean”. There is a gentle warm complexity brought in by the saffron, the rum, and the vanilla, that is intoxicating, but not cloying. The white musk anchors the experience. It also gets better with time. I would literally engulf my house and my entire being with this perfume if I had the money.

im back here to mourn the fact that i can’t afford a full bottle and that samples are easily $20+. i went to the mall again to test queening but the bottle was completely dry, so i sadly smelled the nozzle just to get a whiff of this delicious fragrance. a lot of reviews are describing the scent as generic but i have never encountered a vanilla iris combo that feels quite the same or isn’t tangled in other distracting notes. vanilla, iris, and coconut are the stars here and are given the room they need to SHINE together and my god do they. the notes here are blended to perfection, seamlessly so. queening is a pure, sweet, clean, decadent, airy, whipped-creamy and cool coconut vanilla— a treat fit for a queen as the title implies. she is everything i want to be and will soon leave me penniless. easily my favorite perfume i have encountered on my fragrance journey thus far, i am wildly in love

So i was at a shop today for another perfume, I was just about to head to checkout when I saw the Mind Games stand. Asked the assistant if he'd recommend any from the house and he piled up like 8-9 fragrances talking bout how good every single one of them are. Sprayed this one and WHEN I TELL YOU THAT THIS HITS A SPOT LIKE NO OTHER DOES I MEAN IT. It's just so dreamy, cloudy, marshmallow-ish with a whiff of green apples. It's so well composed and beautiful. Performance wise, I get that when you overpay for a fragrance you expect it to be radiant and polarizing but like with this type of olfactory profile it would be too much. Still haven't worn it long enough to test it's performance but sillage-wise it sits closer to skin. Words that come to my mind would be, cotton, powdery, milky, candy-ish, dreamy and angelic.

Discovered it by accident when trying scents at the store, and gosh was I happy! This surprises me so muchhh, had to look up the notes, and was shocked I liked it bc I wouldn't gravitate to saffron and cypress based on prejudice. Reminds me of a holiday. A prominent creamy vanilla coconut, with the freshness of the cotton and the apple. It didn't had the best performance but I would rather have a few quality scents at my shelf that I really love scent wise, than some cloying beast modes 'in order to' be noticed by others. I could see this being one of my faves definitely. Also, am I the only one but dry down smells like Bianco latte. I had them both on and they were actually so close after some wearing time. Would have bought it within a sec, but please M G..... lower price....way too overpriced.

It’s refined, balanced, and quietly captivating... truly fit for a queen.

I apologize to everyone for saying I didn't like Queening from Mind Games. When you get an opportunity to try her, do not paper test. This one only shows her beauty once she touches your skin. Make sure you dont have another fragrance on. Although the stunning bottle is $375, its not loud. Dont smell her with expectations. Have an open mind. Its soft but still exquisite. Soft but memorable. Soft but powerfully commands you to add to your wish list. She's soft but not weak. Make sure the air is free from candles, air freshner, or a cloud of other fragrances if youre in Neiman's. Be patient and take your time. Im sorry I rushed to judgment so prematurely and unjustly. I finally experienced her Queendom and I want to stay a while.

Queening honestly really nice for the price point and what u pay it’s not really worth what u get in return. It barley last at all this thing will have u playing mind games if u try and blind buy it to justify what crappy blind buy u just made the smell is honestly really good like a fluffy coconut vanilla it’s powdery almost reminds me of whipped cream. The coconut is also very nice doesn’t really have the usual sunscreen type of coconut smell but god do I hate how little it last and how little it projects it’s basically a skin scent for the price point it’s honestly is quite outrageous. If u have the money to burn I’d suggest it if not I’d just try and find another signature scent.

The overall vibe reminds me a little of Serena from Gossip Girl Absolutely gorgeous❤️

Queening is the first fragrance I purchased from mind games & it definitely made a lasting impression. This is goooooood- a different take on a vanilla, but it’s a beauty. I get mainly from this a fresh/clean cotton, slight sweetness from apple, a warm/richness from the rum, saffron, orris combo, then the most dreamy tropical/creamy aspect from the coconut, fluffy musk, & whipped vanilla bean musk base. The name of the fragrance is why i decided to buy it, but the comfort it brings me & the compliments seals the deal- this will forever be in my perfume collection. i appreciate this house’s uniqueness & quality. it makes the fragrances worth their price to me.

This is the most beautiful unique fresh creamy coconut powdery vanilla with apple and rum I have ever smelt this is my signature scent I’m always wearing this perfume and I’m layering this a lot as well it’s so easy to mix with other scents especially vanillas the lasting power on this is bad but when mixing it, it does last forever definitely with any body oils. This is probably the weakest performance out of all the mind games fragrances but one of the BEST smelling I LOVE queening definitely worth getting your nose on!! 😍

I raid through my sister’s collection whenever I visit her. Between the chanels, the replicas and the tom fords, this one stood out.. especially when I realized she’d never sprayed it. Vanilla was my first impression, and complex (in the safest way possible), then I realized that it reminded me a lot of Dries Van Noten’s Vanilla Camouflage. I love it, and the best part, my sister walked in and said “Oh, that was a gift last year, you can have it” Also, it’s been 9 hours since I sprayed, and I can still smell it on my wrist!

I understand the retail price is high. I bought it for my mother’s bday and she’s a big designer fan who doesn’t know much about niche. I bought her a 10 ml first and she fell in love. It’s not a unique scent profile, I get it.. but sometimes smelling good and being mass appealing is enough. It’s wonderfully blended and I think it was worth the $232 I paid for it. Easy reach, non offensive, lactonic creaminess with vanilla, coconut with a hint of apple. Slightly wood with a touch of rum. Saffron gives it some lift. 4.38/5.

Fluffy and etheral. A soft, musky, heady vanilla coconut opening. The apple, very green, comes out shortly into the drydown. The rum is the bass in this band. Sweeter than I normally like, but it's done well. Fairly linear after the drydown begins, sputtering into a simple vanilla-coconut blend on the skin. Notes feel fairly natural; coconut not as synthetic as I anticipated. Very feminine, poor sillage, moderate longevity. Disappointing for the price, although objectively this is quite a beautiful perfume.

Smells just like Vanilla coconut milkshake. It’s very rich and smells very unisex slightly feminine, I do get that little bit of fresh smelling apple in the opening and that boozy background. Will I spend the price tag for this scent? Hell no. Does it smell absolutely fricking delicious Yes. If you want something like this not a dupe or anything like this dna but smells in the same family is vintage radio it’s unisex too but more creamy woods than a creamy laconic fragrance which is what this is. 8/10

This wasn’t what I was expecting from the fragrance at all The opening is very sweet and apple almost a shampoo vibe to my nose and the dry down gets you more into the vanilla musky phase. To my nose I don’t get any coconut and i also don’t get any rum notes either. However, I will add that I am full of cold at the moment so I will resniff this when I am feeling better to make sure I haven’t missed anything. This is really pleasant but sadly the price tag is not

Blind buy but oh my, so worth it. Smells like fruity milk with a shot of rum with green apples on the side drizzled with vanilla ice cream, absolutely gorgeous but not cloying, it has a crispness to it which saves the composition from being overwhelming. It's not a sillage monster but that's to be expected as it is an extrait formula, however, it lasts extremely well on the skin, many hours for me. If you buy it, you won't be able to stop sniffing yourself...

I own and enjoy many vanillas, but this one is my current obsession. It is somehow airy and musky/weighty at the same time. Vanilla creaminess and a light tropical fruitiness. It is perfection. But honestly, go order the Dua version (Queen of the Chess) instead because it’s 1/10th of the price and identical, with better longevity and slightly sweeter in a stunning way. Compare side by side. Queening is 9.8/10 Dua Queen of the Chess is 10/10

Beautiful scent - fresh, 🫧 clean, while still boozy, sweet and a touch powdery. It's been blended immaculately to perfection. Queening is not loud, she purrs as you enjoy her glide through your inner nostrils. She lasts quite well on skin and on clothes. Trouble is, she's expensive!! 😣 -------- Edit: Very unisex leaning feminine and, there's a subtle sandalwood note that is present that's not included in the notes presented here.

It starts with whipped coconut cream, exactly the scent I’m craving. After about 30 minutes, sharp men’s-cologne vibes appear, but they fade pretty quickly (thankfully). If you know the notes, you can catch a hint of apple. In the drydown, it turns into a luxurious sweetness blended with clean, fluffy cotton. It’s still on my arm at the end of the day, so the longevity is pretty decent. But the price? Really disappointing.

I love this scent. This is a great example of needing more than one try to get it. The first day I found it entirely 'meh'. But I git a 10ml so I did a second day of it and i love it. It's pretty and light. I do wish it was stronger because when I love a scent I just want more! But it's hard to get airy plus sillage. I won't buy a full bottle at full price, but will grab if I find a great sale.

Queening is such an ethereal, angelic fragrance. When I close my eyes and smell this I am surrounded by the most beautiful, fluffy, soft pink cloud. The cotton comes across clean and musky without being laundry detergent. There is a gentle fruity aspect without being too sweet and it's all balanced by a lovely, creamy vanilla base. Absolute perfection. A year round staple in my collection.

Smells very sweet and powdery, very much a girly girl scent (which I LOVE). It does smell a little juvenile for the price and you can definitely find something similar, but it still has more complexity on my skin. Similar vibes to Kilian’s Love Don’t Be Shy, except a bit more coconut-y. SUPER strong and long-lasting so spray sparingly. Definitely gonna be my wedding fragrance! ❤️

Buttery, fluffy, warm vanilla with sweet florals. This fragrance is top 2 for me scent-wise. However, the longevity is horrendous; it projects well, but after 3 hours, all the molecules vanished. It's not even a skin scent; it's just gone. Would never spend the 500 AUD for a full bottle of it, but the sample I have is on my desk for appreciation of the masterpiece scent.

wow i NEED this, this might just be signature worthy for me. a smooth delicious vanilla and orris that is sweet, fresh, noticable but not overpowering or cloying, just perfect. this is exactly what ive been looking for for ages. 1000/10 i dont think it could be any better i just wish the sillage were better it weren’t the cost of its weight in liquid gold

I want to smell like this forever. First scent I'll consider a signature. This is a powdery clean vanilla with some orris and woodsy cypress for me. A whisper of coconut, rum, and apple give this depth, but they're all very much secondary to the vanilla. Sillage is moderate and I can smell this very clearly on myself for 12 hours, especially on clothes.

Absolutely beautiful, feminine, clean cotton w a sweet non tart apple.. a little musk. It feels soft but performs. I was sooooo close to buying but alas my nose picks up on some pungency I can't wear all day and I'm sad!!! So beautiful for the right person. Someone needs to remake this without that wet concentrated element that makes me queasy.

This is everything I wanted Blanche Bete to be. Instant love and just ordered a full bottle. This is perfect for warm days, it's airy and fluffy and just lovely. Worth the price tag? Not a definitive yes but I don't have anything similar in my collection so far so I pulled the plug. Don't blindbuy though as you can see not everyone likes it :)

One of the best vanillas ever made used to be my favorite fragrance of all time. Soft and creamy vanilla and coconut also my most complimented by far. And anyone saying this doesn't last or project is lying it lasted too the next day on my skin of course very faint but still anyone saying that must have the dryest skin on this planet.

While it is kinda pricey... it is my favorite fragrance of all time and for good reason. It smells DIVINE and my partner and I just love it so much. You get cotton flower and slight green apple? Before just a very nice fluffy kind of vibe, creamy light vanilla milkshake vibes. I love it. 10/10.

Edit: After a day of full wear I can say I’m obsessed with this and will eventually need a larger decant or a full size bottle. The dry down is magic. Airy, crisp white t shirt, vanilla.. it’s beautiful. For the price tag though you better be OBSESSED with it. It’s good but not $400 for me.

the new commodity milk orchid smells exactly like this to me, i sprayed both samples next to each other and there’s hardly any difference. coconutty cotton, semi fresh but not in a bright or bubbly way which i enjoy. this one is boozier, just slightly but apart from that, very similar.

Queening is my go-to to feel put-together and feminine and like an actual queen! It is powdery, clean, coconutty vanilla goodness! Maybe it's my skin.... I don't know, but it's so good! I have gotten so many compliments and it makes me feel confident! It is in my top 3 easily!

This fragrance is smooth, soft and a little addicting. It opens with juicy green apple and cotton, followed by sweet coconut cream (very lactonic to my nose) and orris which blends beautifully. The dry down is a sweet musk that lingers. update: lasts over 72 hours on strip

Best vanilla fragrance I've ever smelled in store, not so much at home. Not sure if I purchased a fake sample or what but it just smellls much different at home to me. Imo if you are looking to purchase, get a full bottle as to avoid my situation. 9.5/10

For me this is Vanilla Powder done right. Not too cloying and sharp, just a sweet and fresh coconutty vanilla, perfect for summer. Longevity on me is not as bad as some of the others have mentioned here, I got a decent 6 hours with just two sprays.

my white whale. i’ve stocked myself with samples of queening because can’t afford to spend $330 on a full bottle yet. i am still entranced! i think this scent is my true love. please ignore the hate.. some people lack taste and thats okay!

the best thing i've ever smelt. the vanilla is not too strong or heavy, and there is a soft apple cotton opening blended with a creamy coconut vanilla musk base that makes this fragrance versatile for any occasion. dreamy and cloudy

This is my currently favourite eatable scent of pinacolada, in words of the GOAT Jeremy it makes me feel sexy, lasts longer then people say ,I can smell it on my shirt 2 days later and its a compliments magnet.

WHEW! This one is amazing and I don't care about any other half-baked ass opinion on it. Ice Cream...literally Breyers Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream in a bottle. Love this stuff. No need to elaborate. 10/10.

Cozy and airy vanilla that has a fresh and clean opening which I love. I usually don't like wearing vanillas in warmer weather but this one kinda cracked the code for me. Just ordered a full bottle

Dammit, Love at first sniff. I had a feeling I was going to love this over $300 fragrance and I was right. It’s uber sweet, soft, coconut forward, powdery, milky, girly. I just love it.

I tested this twice and decided I needed the bottle. I love this fragrance. The only down side is that its basically a skin scent. I wish is was a little stronger. Still a love though

smelled handful of mind games fragrances and queening was certainly my favorite, imagine narciso Rodriguez for her but made unisex and super high quality smelling

Got a sample of this and it’s gorgeous. One of the best vanilla’s I have ever smelled. Unfortunately it has a high price tag and the longevity is moderate.
