Pani Walewska Noir

What a beautiful perfume! It starts with the darkest roses and something like dark chocolate with patchouli and orange, not gourmand or excessively sweet, just the right amount of sweetness not in the style of the nasty praline in La Vie Est Belle at all, this is so sexy, gothic and intense. After half an hour the jasmine steps in, not dirty, just slightly indolic. Then comes Magno soap, the blackest, richest, creamiest soap. And the clean musk and powder. Can't stop smelling my wrists. They say in the reviews that it smells like an old lady, but I would say that this beauty has no age, nor gender. I guess there are people to whom everything that doesn't smell like Black Opium and those awful cloying sugary liquids seems like an old lady's thing. This smells like a niche perfume to me. I suppose that many reviews are from Polish people who smelled the blue Pani Walewska on their grandmothers, but for those of us who are not from Poland and do not have those associations, it does not remind us of grandmothers. After all this is not that old, it was launched in 2014. Although I have to say that it reminds me of Maja from Myrurgia, the original masterpiece before the horrible reformulation, but much more contemporary and without all that skunk and aldehydes. The sillage is moderate and unfortunately the duration on my skin is not that good, but for the price I can carry it in my bag and reapply. And it stays longer on clothes. Best of all: It is only 3'60€!!! There's also a lovely and creamy soap with the same perfume that's only 1€. The bottle is not the best, but it's pretty and looks good on the shelves. I have ordered another one as a gift for a lady relative of mine and I am sure she'll appreciate it. Sadly this beauty can only be worn in cool weather. It will be suffocating wearing this here in Spain as soon as the temperature rises.

Tricky one, needed to rest or was it only me? First test (in summer) gave me a kind of ... poison? I mean, a poisoned black something, gothic, lethal. Several months later, the story changes. The cheap fragrance creeps like a dark snake, spicy wine rose and a kind of slick ebony wood: weird but captivating, indeed. The bottle escapes from the bin and sits again for a while. Today, cold weather, I get a burst of sour and lemony tickling rose, calming down into fructose and a nice girl’s sweet musk on my skin, but on my pullover, it goes more and more powdery, almost dusty rosewood, with an excellent longevity. The fragrance takes root, settles, becomes a wise and calm shadow, very present and very silent, like a moonless night. This stuff is stunning. I’ve started to wear it on an almost daily basis in those sunny autumnal days. It keeps changing, sometimes more frankly milky, sometimes more unctuous floral chocolate, edges are always ancient, soft and silky. I don’t know what to think and wonder what will happen next; it’s autumn bottled. Or Halloween? It matches my assumed sweet sorcerer self. People who have learn to live with their own friendly darkness rather than fighting against it. If the price was higher, with a big name like Tom F., people would go crazy with hundreds of reviews. By chance, some cheap little things become confidential and more niche than official niche. :)

Old rose, spicy musky, something aquatic in the background. He has strength and is stubborn, he has something like "cold revenge".Holliwood spy perfume. It could almost be a cypre. It is not a modern smell but it is reminiscent of feelings that do not go out of style, like pride

Just got a bottle of this potion, 30ml to be safe, but I have a feeling I should have bought a bigger bottle. Obscenely musky and indiscriminately sexy :-) Now, I am not a big lover of musk; it is overused by my close family members hence I tend to steer away from it, and musk can come in so many different varieties it can give you a headache. This potion however is a true 'Musk Noir', the sexiest I came across. I didn't take to it at first, sprayed it on my wrist in a perfume shop, then returned and asked for a paper-strip test, and after 2 days I just had to buy it! This incredible version of musk and rose petals just lured me into a true olofactory trap lol :-) So simple, yet so alluring! Just magnificent! I had to re-visit my review as this little frag just keeps my senses on high alert. It is so simple, yet so beautiful. If you're into your musk extraordinaire and don't mind well blended rose then don't miss on this rare opportunity to jump on this wagon. It bursts with feminity! So incredibly captivating, makes me want to smell myself all day ;-)

This lady is intriguing, has a secret and does her wiles to allure. It is noir indeed. First a bit headake, but afer hour wow you must sniff it all the time and it stays with you for long hours. And its so cheap but so chic. It is a bit murky, dirty and dark. Its great for heavy music lover or Tim Burton film lovers or elegant mature woman or even man. The rose is hiding in a deep black Shadow, not overwhelming. Musk is dirty, just give an animalic feel and a Little tad of sweetness.

Yes, it resembles Coco Noir but less complex. It brings to mind also Black Orchid as the mood is very noir. It is rather heavy, for autumn-winter and for the evening scent-wise but it wears comfortably on. It projects well but in a polite way. The longer I wear it the more it resembles the Chanel, simplified and sweetened. Very good. And it lasts all day.

My first reaction was OMG it is so strong and I didn't like the opening. But 20min later it developed on my skin into very interesting balmy scent. I detected oud and rose. Oud isn't listed but was there. If you don't mind the first 20min it is a great evening scent that smells like expensive frags.

I've just got a 30ml bottle by mail and immediately made few sprays. There are 16 votes it's similar to Bissoumine Les Fleurs de Nall and Pani Walewska Noire IS NOT similar. This is cheap sinthetic crap (no roses or citrus only cheap musc or something) and please don't be fooled it has something in common with precious Bissoumine. I'm writting just to warn you the votes here are not reliable for blind buy, maybe even not honest... who knows. Luckily it was cheap :-)

Soapy rose. Smells like Grandma's sleeping room on a Sunday afternoon, clean.

it... stinks. Just this. I got a 15ml bottle and I can't. It just stinks synthetic. Not in a good way. In a nauseating way. There is no rose, there's no musk, there's no citrus, just some plastick-y chemical. Not even a soap. I am absolutely appalled. Only good side to it is that it's cheap. But it ain't even good enough to spray in the bathroom after number two.

Beautiful opening, with rose and citrus, but then the drydown gets much worse. After the roses and citruses pass there is this pungent scent of ... well I'm sorry but to me it smells like stale armpit sweat, like on an old winter jacket, together with some male-ish perfume. I wish we could distill the rose from this and ditch the stinky base. On the upside, the perfumed soap of this smells really divine and is dirt cheap (like 0,5 euro).

I see why people like it but I see also why people hate it. It's an old school smell. You can smell this at church in a concert for more mature audience. Would look weird on younger crowd. Alternatively, however it is so old and somewhat "stinky" that it can be seen as a niche by someone. I like it for what it is, despite looking at it as a remnant of things and days long gone. A soapy, powerful somewhat powdery rose bomb.

I tested it many times and it was on my hate list... until today:) Now I'm sniffing it from my wrist and I'm rediscovering it! It's beautifully spicy, chypre, even vetiver, slightly masculine, luckily I don't detect any musk which I truly hate... It's like a mysterious reminder of the past, really amazing! But make sure to use it really sparingly, otherwise it may kill you...

18th century noble lady, but in modern way. This chocolate pachuli is amazing, and it's not sweet. Fragnence is unique, bit Gothic, esoteric sensual, Blue blood Mata Harry in best way. Pani Walevska noire is nigt full of soprises..

Old school perfume, graceful and noble. Chocolate patchouli, velvety burgundy rose and citrus sourness. The scent of expensive cosmetics, Coco Noir style
