Hansel & Gretel – Christmas in a Bottle This one instantly made me smile. The moment it hit my skin I knew exactly what it reminded me of — Christmas. Not in a vague “winter fragrance” way, but in a vivid, nostalgic way that feels like stepping into a kitchen where holiday baking is already in full swing. Right away you get the warmth of cinnamon and clove, and it’s beautifully balanced with vanilla so it never turns sharp or overly spicy. Instead it smells soft, sweet, and cozy — like gingerbread cookies fresh from the oven. The gingerbread note is absolutely the star here. It gives the fragrance that comforting bakery warmth, while the vanilla and tonka smooth everything into this creamy, enveloping sweetness. Then there’s the rum and hot chocolate accord quietly sitting underneath everything, adding depth and warmth. It gives the scent this cozy “holiday drink in hand while the house smells like cookies” kind of feeling. On my skin it smells like gingerbread baking, warm spices in the air, and soft vanilla frosting. Sweet, nostalgic, and comforting without ever becoming cloying. Projection sits nicely in the moderate range and longevity is solid — it lingers like the smell of baking that stays in the house long after the oven has cooled. If you love warm gourmand fragrances that lean into spice, vanilla, and cozy holiday vibes, this one absolutely delivers. For me this is an easy 10/10. It truly smells like Christmas in a bottle. This screams fall-winter-holidays, picture crisp weather, fallen leaves and the comforting warmth of hot chocolate. It's so yummy it really smells like gingerbread cookies! there is a nostalgic quality to it - evoking memories from festive moments. This vanilla here feels very rich with the spices (you can totally smell the ginger, cinnamon, cloves and even a touch of nutmeg). I don't understand whoever said this is weak, because to my nose it has very good performance, and especially lasts quite a bit.

A straight to the point gingerbread fragrance that manages to nail the balance between sweet and spiced. Don’t get much of the hot cocoa but do get a slight rummy undertone in the opening. Overall just gingerbread house galore

This is gourmand's dreams, notes of gingerbread is spot-on, and the mix with chocolate is just heavenly! Can't wait for winter to start wearing this!

Company info: This company has BEAUTIFUL high quality packaging, it really evokes the sense of storytelling, childhood books, and it's overall just gorgeous, the packaging is 100% recyclable, made in the USA, & never tested on animals. The scent: This is a pretty decent, winter/fall gourmand perfume, perfect for the holiday season. I most get ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, and light clove. This VERY much reminds me almost to a T of both Jo Malone- Ginger Biscuit & Lush- Tumeric Latte. This isn't too heavy, too strong or overbearing. This is only slightly stronger in projection & longer lasting than ginger biscuit, closer the Lush's Tumeric Latte's perfume projection/longevity wise. But VERY similar to both frags scent profiles. It has the same spiciness/vanilla/warm mix as tumeric latte and the same ginger/vanilla as Ginger Biscuit. It's a decent frag but it's been done before. Maybe it'd be worth getting though considering it's longer lasting than Ginger Biscuit & not as headache inducing as tumeric latte. 7/10. My order of favs: 1) Mad Hatter 2) Jungle book 3) Winnie The Pooh 4) Hansel & Gretel 5) Pinocchio 6) The Cursed Apple 7) The little mermaid.

More thought went into the cutesy marketing and design than the actual fragrance. Likeable, but average and smells like a dozen other fragrances.

As I experience this fragrance throughout the day, I definitely catch the spices: cinnamon, clove, ginger. It's warm-spicy in a dry way, like the air that puffs out from a kitchen's spice cabinet when you close the drawer. That said, it isn't a sweet fragrance. I catch a slight hint of chocolate, but don't detect any of the vanilla, tonka, or rum. (If I didn't know that chocolate was in the composition, I would have passed the note by entirely without realizing it existed.) Unfortunately, this isn't the smell of gingerbread. Gingerbread, gingersnaps, and other ginger-based holiday desserts are my favorite and I bake them often throughout the year, so I'm intimately familiar with the scent profile. And this isn't it. The fragrance is also pretty weak. It dissipates quickly and doesn't linger. This isn't the scent to sink into your clothes so deeply that you can smell it the next morning. In fact, this fragrance might not even last through the end of a work day. Not a bad fragrance, but a bit disappointing.

It reminds me a little of Angel’s Share... after 18 months on Ozempic 😭 Oops, apparently there’s no apple in this fragrance. Still, my nose keeps picking up warm apple pie: maybe it’s the cinnamon playing tricks on me 😅 This is a lighter gourmand, leaning into gingerbread, warm spices, and cozy woods, but without becoming too dense or overly sweet. There’s a transparency to it that makes it airy and surprisingly easy to wear. Unfortunately, on my skin, it disappears in about an hour. And honestly... for the price, you might be better off getting Bath & Body Works Warm Apple Pie 👀✨

I really wanted to love this and it’s OK but it’s not a love. It kind of reminds me of Bath & body Works gingerbread latte. It’s pleasant without being offending. The gingerbread note does stay through the wear, which I appreciate. But I feel like it performs kind of like a body mist.

I would agree with many others here that this is not a gingerbread fragrance. It's very lightly chocolatey and slightly starchy, with a powdery base. The performance is really lacking - zero sillage and it fades away entirely from clothes after about 1-2 hours. Bummer.

Cinnamon swirls into the hot cocoa. Tonka bean feels slightly heavy, carrying a hint of indulgent wickedness—perfectly matching the essence of the story.

Mischief Academy Hansel & Gretel isn't the fairy tale witch's honest death trap, it's the modern bougie kitchen witch with her artisanal wooden spoons and Williams Sonoma measuring cups, making traditional German Christmas cookies in a kitchen that costs more than most people's annual salary. This fragrance captures the amber-patchouli sophistication of expensive cashmere and gingery-warm spices, Pfeffernüsse cardamom, Lebkuchen honey and almonds, Spekulatius cinnamon, but it doesn't smell like food. Instead, it smells like the memory of those scents clinging to someone who can afford to live that perfectly curated Instagram life. You're pressed against the phone screen at 2am, desperately wanting to be the person in that sweater, living in that snow-globe perfection where baking feels like meditation rather than labor. As it dries down to woods, ambroxan, and synthetic musk, the cozy fantasy fades into something sophisticated but hollow: the olfactory equivalent of lifestyle porn that leaves you with that gnawing inadequacy that follows every scroll session. This has nothing to do with candy houses or literal hunger; it's about manufactured desire, the trap of wanting a life that exists primarily in filtered light and carefully staged moments. The scent itself is genuinely lovely, but smelling it feels like window shopping for an existence you can't afford.

Fun, and of course, very tempting. This fragrance smells exactly like fresh gingerbread. It also has a strange peanut effect to my nose. Surprisingly though, it behaves a bit differently on the skin, turning into something more like sensual nutty-vanilla fragrance. For sure it is more on the feminine side, and certainly “different”. However, I don’t think this specific fragrance is that challenging and can probably be worn by anyone. I think that in comparison with the new gourmands coming out on the market in droves, this one sets itself apart by its refinement and balance between the woody nuttiness present and sheer sweetness that makes it much more wearable and worth considering, for those who love gourmands but are maybe a little afraid to try them on.

I LOVE THIS! Precisely what I wanted Chocomusk to be. This is one elevated gourmand. I get a lot of compliments when I have done skin tests with this. Picture a bougie Xmas bakery with spiked hot chocolate, gingerbread house displays and a light dusting of cinnamon sugar on snickerdoodle cookies. While H&G doesn’t *exactly* like a sweet treat, it smells like you were in that bakery’s kitchen while the baking happens. I truly adore this scent. It has better longevity & sillage than the majority of the discovery set except for the gourmands. It layers beautifully with other vanilla perfumes. I think this is best suited for daytime wear during the coldest months of the year. If I can discounted full bottle, I wouldn’t think twice about purchasing it.

A very indulgent but transparent gourmand. The opening is typical in it's blend of 'pumpkin pie' spices (mainly clove and cinnamon), but a few moments in we are greeted by more unexpected and nuanced notes like cardamom, pink pepper and a very lovely quality of ginger. It's rather transparent in the woodiness; something floral, something violet, maybe a touch of jasmine, all very well blended and purposefully light. Its chiffon, rather than overly sweet pound cake. The long dry down is rather perfumistic, not overly literal, and very sophisticated: ambroxan, musk, and maybe even the ubiquitous "cashmere woods." The perfect adult take on a child's idea of a sweet treat.

Mass appealing cozy gourmand scent for the holiday season, sweet cocoa with spices and a heavy dose of vanilla. If you are a perfume fanatic you probably have this scent profile already but would make a great gift for a gourmand lover, on the cheaper side compared to other niche brands. Although fun (my 9 yo loves it) one of the least interesting in the discovery set.

[Warning: This is a omment, not a review. Sorry] I feel like if these scents are going to tell stories, then the dry down on something like this should be metallic (blood), mossy, Nag Champa /resins, or something else that might evoke it sense of witchcraft.

I haven't smelled this frag, or any from the brand, but I love the concept and presentation! European release would be nice ? That's where all those fairy takes originate from , after all.

This was very light and fleeting. The gingerbread isn’t dense or overly sweet or even cookie like. It’s more so just ginger with a hint of cocoa & cinnamon. Was disappointing.

This smells like gilded tox messed with un crime Exotique 12.1 it smells soft and not sharp and jagged so that's why is say un crime mixed w gilded fox
