Matcha Potion

this was a blind buy for me. the price was reasonable and i was fairly confident i would enjoy it.. thankfully i was right! the closest comparison i can make is matcha soft serve by d'annam, but without the cloying floral jasmine that completely threw me off. this is much more in line with what i wanted that fragrance to be. sweet, creamy, and comforting without leaning into perfumey florals. it really does smell like matcha ice cream to me. i do not know how often i will actually want to smell like green tea ice cream, but when i do, this absolutely scratches that itch. it is such a cozy scent. i still think my search for the perfect matcha fragrance is not quite over. i would love to find something a little earthier and less sweet. but for what this is, i think it is lovely. it is a really cute fragrance, and i am very happy to have it in my collection!

Sadly not it. This fragrance starts of as that dirty, earthy, green matcha that I love, then transforms into a creamy matcha latte, and then into straight white chocolate and heavy cream. Sickly sweet on my skin and sadly a let down.

This smells a lot like Replica matcha meditation, except it’s a bit smoky? I don’t like it as much but they’re very similar

Hands down the best matcha scent in my collection. A lot of matcha scents I’ve tried recently are either overly earthy and green, or the matcha is no where to be found. This is the perfect balance in my opinion and I wish I got a bigger bottle! It starts very realistic matcha forward, green and slightly tea-earthy but not dirty. As it dries down the matcha stays present but a soft powdery fluffy sweetness starts to come through. I don’t see Iris or anything similar listed in the notes but it’s bringing a soft feminine delicate quality to it. The dry down on my skin is a sweet fluffy milky matcha latte, it’s so lovely. I find it would be a safe blind buy if you like actual matcha scents not just a whisper as the opening is like a genuine cup of matcha tea with milk, I’m obsessed.

Smells like the replica matcha mediation that got discontinued but way more concentrated and sweeter/richer with the cream and white chocolate. honestly way better then the replica one. i just wish she makes a bigger bottle of this. also the projection on this one is amazing.
