The Cursed Apple

First fragrance to make me cry. This smells like my mom in the late 2000s / early 2010s. She wore cheap perfumes, and this has that artificialness to it. The bright smile and hug she'd give me before leaving for a night out. It's so comforting to me, the femininity, the rosiness. I miss seeing her smile like that. I really wanna gift this to her, even if she doesn't wear it. It smells a bit outdated and her style has changed.

this house really excels at painting a picture with their perfumes. i can smell the red apple, shimmering with magic, and a hint of the poison within it. LOVEEE wearing this one to bed.

This one is not my taste, but I appreciate the creation for what it is. It smells like a ripe apple. Not sure where the bitter accord is, maybe in the violet?

absolutely gorgeous. do not get scared at first whiff, it's the poisoned apple >:~D but then, the other notes come into play in the most wonderful way.

So without reading notes, my 1st impression and thoughts that came to my mind were this "Pantene Shampoo, fresh apple, perfumey" and that's it. Then after 2 min, I got more of the apple, shampoo,violet, AND that bitter note slowly creeped in little by little. But it was never like OMG this is too much, too bitter. It added to the story and depth of the scent imo and it'd be boring had it not came in, but don't worry it slowly fades away while more rose creeps in, in place of that bitter note. So this really tells a story imo. This is a niche floral frag fs b/c I don't see this being a huge crowd pleaser or loved by many ...this is an acquired taste floral frag which is what niche is. I kinda like it for its oddness, and it's attempt of actually trying to tell the story. Def test 1st b/c as I said I can see many not liking the poison/bitter note. But also don't just spray & judge, to get the full effect of this frag you need to wear it all the way through, and don't spray too heavy. It's not needed, this is one of the stronger ones in this collection imo. I rate this one a 7.3/10. As it's not super unique or mind blowing and I'm not running online to grab a bottle, BUT it is decent, odd, intriguing, etc and who knows I may end up grabbing a bottle b/c I can already tell it's one of those perfumes that your not mind blown by but yet you keep thinking about it lol.

bitter berry flavored lipstick with not very much apple and a soft vintage violet touch. I find the bitter accord in here what ruins the scent as it smells adjacent to hair dye for me, chemical, astringent. Otherwise the scent is just okay, soft and subtle, floral and waxy, vintage and powdery. Do away with the bitter note and it’s an okay scent.

On me, this smells strongly of rose. The apple is a subtle afterthought. After about an hour, I get a hint of the more chemical elements they added in here: lipstick and bitter accord. If you like a lighter rose fragrance, this is for you.

Nothing really stands out to me note wise just smells kind of generic perfumey. Their others are better imo. Kind of reminds me of something my grandmother wore. Update getting the perfume induced sore throat and headache. Hard pass

Opening of powdery-red fruit smelled similar to "Crushed Fruits" by RdF but louder. Eventually gives way to a strong synthetic rose which dominates the dry down. You have to squint to smell the lipstick.

Apple + rose—a classic shower gel scent with impressive diffusion.

A deadly kiss, a sweet temptation. This was one of my favorites in the whole line. In truth this fragrance could fit a wide amount of concepts by how complex and interesting it is. The obvious apple note is very delicate and well-constructed. It is also decisively red, which is notable as 99% of perfume apples I’ve come across are exclusively green. I think the floral violet elements give the apple such a redness. These violet notes are also what make the beautiful lipstick effect, which surprisingly pairs very nicely with the apple. I find the fragrance a bit light, but it is rather tenacious. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more tenacious apple note out there.

I typically don’t begin a review with dislike, but I truly don’t enjoy anything about this scent. I recognize it’s a DNA people enjoy but I’m not one of those select few. Each note is a struggle to enjoy. The powder (from the violet) isn’t so much as light and ethereal as it is disjointed and sour. It’s giving expired hair spray in a sharp, not fruity or fresh way. I don’t detect the apple note (either ripe or unripe), despite it being listed as the most prominent note. However, if you love the scent of old-school lipsticks, you might enjoy a sample. Low projection, very feminine and short longevity on clothes and skin.

I always say I don't like fruity fragrances, but this one surprised me. I do love a lipstick-y iris, so it plays to my preferences this way. It actually sort of reminds me of Merit Retrospect, but instead of going the pear direction, it goes the apple/berry direction. There's a tartness that may prevent me from wearing this all too often, but I see myself spraying this on for a garden party in the spring/summer.

smells almost exactly like bois 1920 'rosa de filare'. musky and skin scent rose. my signature fragrance dries down to that sort of scent profile so everything else in its genre sort of plays second fiddle to my nose so i'm a bit biased in that regard. nice scent but not for me.

Right after spraying, the Cursed Apple smells to my nose like what lychee-flavored boba tea tastes like to my tastebuds. The scent is pretty linear but I can definitely tell berries, candied violet and rosey notes after the first few minutes. I just don’t get any apple at all.

kind of artificial and generic, like sniffing a fashion magazine. idk, it's okay. hope it freshens up and i get more of the apple through the day
