Real Babe

I'm not sure if this does something different on my skin than everyone else here (except @LindseyBrooke/@bootymouse) but I'm not getting anything other than a soft, pretty jasmine skin-like scent. At VERY 1st, yes, it is sweet and almost tropical and you get the top notes and they are gorgeous, but fleeting - gone almost as soon as they hit your skin. Take those away, and what are you left with...? A slightly sweeter, more floral Glossier you = "You Fleur" tropical. Great to layer with it to sweeten it up. It's more 'creamy' too. Whoever mentioned 'cola' - WTH, you upset me (pre-purchase because I always come here before I blind-buy), LOL! Mainly because I was looking for a soda'esq scent and this is not even close. I didn't end up buying it for that, but that did interest me. *** I also ended up buying 3 others of this line because they are so cheap & how cute/dumb are these stupid cans?! (took restraint from buying them ALL, but a couple just weren't appealing and reviews deinfluenced me). I'm waiting on Babe Power, Babe Heat & Babe Dreams all coming today from Amazon... FYI, right now. you can get the 2-set for the same price as the just the 2.7 edp! The body spray smells almost exactly the same but takes a LOT of sprays compared to the perfume.

I have the body mist version of this. In my opinion it smells really similar to imperial leather marshmallow shower gel, but even nicer. If you've ever had that shower gel you'll understand what I mean because it doesn't just smell of pure sugar it's completely different. I think it's the ambrette doing this i must try more fragrances with that note ...

This is an absolute no brainer. Picked up for under $20, gives off wonderful Piña Colada vibes without a coconut note. This lasts 4-5 hours on my skin before turning into a beautiful, sweet skin scent. I think this is more feminine, but I wouldn't complain if I smelled this on a guy. Great pickup!

Sweet, sweet, synthetic and cozy - a perfect summer fragrance. I can’t detect any pineapple, just a hint of citrus in the opening, followed by pure sweetness. It’s marketed as unisex, but I don’t really see it that way. That said, as a man, I enjoy it a lot.

My initial introduction to the misguided brand...and I love it! For some reason, it reminds me of a cola scent.

I have the body spray because I didn’t want the top notes. This is a lovely sweet fluffy jasmine scent.

Initial spray- citrusy and peppery, quite spicy yet sweet. After 1 hour- even more peppery but it still doesn’t smell that dark in a sense considering it’s spicy, the citrus is definitely still there and Jasmine is wrapping it all together beautifully. After three hours- tonka bean and ambrette are starting to soften the fragrance but still strong! After 5 hours- amber is here and it’s so pretty and warm, the fragrance is still sweet yet spicy, not any citrus anymore, a little less strong After 10 hours- very sweet fragrance left, smells like spicy vanilla and Jasmine, my skin seems to really like the pepper! It’s faint now though but 110% there, I’d say it would need reapplying after 5/6 hours for max strength Sillage- 7/10 Longevity- 8/10 Scent- 9/10 Overall- one of my favourite fragrances and I’m so glad it’s on the affordable side. More for night/evening wear in the summer but definitely an all year round scent as well.

Oh! what a pleasant suprise. I got a little sample of this and I wasn't expecting much, but this is actually really nice. Real Babe, despite the goofy name, is a very soft, feminine and sweet perfume that I think will be perfect for summer. Opens up with a blast of juicy pineapple and sugared citruses, this scent is very sweet and mouth-watering, but is never too heavy. The amber and tonka add some warmth and depth while the pink pepper adds a little sharp kick. I like this a lot! It's effortlessly sexy and smells really good. I think I'll pick up a bottle when I'm going on my Portugal holiday later on this year.

This was a blind buy for me and it really took me by surprise. I love it more and more each time I spray it. The top notes are confusing. I do not detect anything fruity in this perfume whatsoever. However, if you like creamy, musky, ambery scents then you will love this. It's also got surprising lasting power considering the very affordable price point.

Goodness me, please don't mistake the bottle for a soda can. I'm really not a fan of the bottle design, but I like the fragrance. Love the tropical pina colada vibe! Oozes sexy I don't care vibes, unapologetically sexy!

Safe blind buy if you like the Poison Girls (EDP or EDT). Same citrusy yet warm and "almondy" amber/tonka vein as Boss Babe, Girl of Now, Poison Girl or La Rive Fleur De Femme - they are all in the same oriental, spicy family with the signature play-doh effect, even if some of these have the melancholy rose-orange combo which gives a true oriental and sharp mature flair to this league of scents (with magnolia or jasmine - No wonder Elie Saab is Lebanese, these are oriental-inspired scents). Real Babe does not have any overly sharp elements, like the rose-orange notes of Boss Babe and of Fleur De Femme, so it is much smoother and thus more youthful, just like Girl of Now is the most fresh & smooth out of all to me. Real Babe retains the syrupy amber-rich floral vibe of Boss Babe (both featuring jasmine). At the projection is similar to Boss Babe and Fleur De Femme. The pineapple smells a bit plastic on me with the lemon. It's kinda like a Lolita Lempicka EDT "cold" lemon note, combined with the cherry & jasmine there, while the syrupy pineapple-jasmine here give off a cherry-like sweetness too, it's weird. Somehow the whole fragrance manages to give a slight impression of cherry-almond. The "cold" citrusy pineapple notes are rather interesting and unexpected. In the opening, I detect a lovely soapy scent from the citruses-pineapple combo, and I can still recognize it in the drydown when I smell my skin up close, but it's more subtle at that stage. The pineapple retains a cherry-like sweetness in the perfume throughout, slightly sour from the citruses, but of course with pineapple, not cherry. The tonka is dominant, it's the rich warm note present in all these fragrances and ties them all together. The ambrette to me normally smells like the mahlab spice (BBW's Indigo Dreams is a good example of that). Here the ambrette is the source of the subtle almondy element in Real Babe, the same nutty scent present in all these perfumes, (not sure if there is almond flower here - it's what the box implies). Ambrette is a favorite note of mine, it always adds a sunny, smooth, calming vibe to a fragrance and makes Real Babe a more unique variation in this league. Despite having pineapple and pink pepper as common notes with my favorite Babe Power, I do not smell much in common. Babe Power is in a different league, that of Police Forbidden/ La Rive Sweet Hope, not a warm scent, but with its own peculiar character as it's heavy on the cherry while the rhubarb gives a slightly masculine vibe on my skin. Babe Power is more smooth without sharp oriental elements, so they are not alike. The usual citrusy, warm essence of the scent is part of its oriental character - the citrus element is present in this family of scents, whether there is bergamot (Boss Babe), bitter orange (Fleur De Femme), lemon or orange (Boss Babe)/mandarin orange (Girl of Now) or a combo of those. The jasmine in Real Babe strongly reminds me of Fleur De Femme, minus the cherry of the latter. The artificial sweet pineapple scent of Real Babe has a charm and it's very similar to the cherry in Fleur De Femme also due to their common oriental jasmine character (heavier dupe of Poison Girl edp). The pineapple sweetness is also very reminiscent of the Prada Candy Gloss lipstick-like cherry, which features so many notes found in Poison Girl EPF and Fleur De Femme btw (I just realized) : almond, peach, heliotrope, rose, orange blossom etc. They are ALL a happy family apparently, with some differentiations. So to me Real Babe is the cheerful version of Boss Babe, just like Prada Candy Gloss would be the youthful, playful version of Poison Girl EDP/Poison Girl EDT and Fleur De Femme that are all heavier. The pineapple here as I said adds a similar sweetness that screams Prada Candy Gloss every time I smell my skin. I don't consider Real Babe a tropical scent aside from the lemon-pineapple soapy opening. If anyone couldn't stand the artificial lipstick-lipgloss type of cherry sweetness in Candy Gloss (which I LOVE as a perfume), then Real Babe is an excellent alternative featuring some mature elements compared to the lovely, silly Candy Gloss, since it's close to Boss Babe and Fleur De Femme imo. The jasmine-tonka in both Real Babe and Fleur De Femme are the notes behind this melancholy oriental scent in both, but Real Babe lacks the pencil-shavings woody notes of Fleur De Femme and replaces the obnoxious patchouli with pink pepper, smart move. It keeps it youthful (Fleur De Femme at times can project borderline old-lady with the patchouli-rose-orange deal). I love that it is musky as opposed to sandalwood, it keeps it fresh.

Oh wow! I was shopping at Superdug and the 80ml was £14, so I was intrigued. Sniffed, tested on skin, on clothes...2 days after I got the bottle. This is amazing. The start is very Elie Saab girl of now SHINE, because of the pineapple, then it goes pinacolada 🍍🥥🍹 but the dry-down, omg. Citruses and a dash of almond also does the job. This is the long lost cousin of Diesel Fuel for Life Unlimited and Coco Mademoiselle! It has a very fun and sweet opening and develops to a more mature scent. It's the musk! It's also a bit woody/ambery in the end. To me it's a skin scent. Loud maybe the first hour or two, later you notice it when you move your hand or stroke your hair. Lasts 2-4h on skin and at least 6 on clothes. For the price, and ths high-end perfume combo...this is a winner. Great for work, for layering or just splashing around as it's dirt cheap, just get it on sale. Ps. With my perfume collection and comparing to other of my perfumes I woulnd pay the full price beaceuse of the longevity and I'm afraid the bottle is gimmicky, cute though.

Tested this in store at Chemist Warehouse (Australia). I thought the energy drink bottle was a bit tacky and gimmicky and only wanted to test the atomiser. But I didn't mind this at all. It definitely got better on my skin with time too. It's sweet but unisex, a bit musky without being the kind of musk that makes you smell like you need a shower lol. I think I detect the pineapple/citrus but it's pretty soft.

It reminds me of a musky, slightly sweet sweet tart candy. Little bit of candied amber in the middle. I wouldn’t necessarily say this one is unisex, but it’s really good.

I wanted to love this, but on me it smelled like incredibly masculine shaving cream:(
