Missoni Colori - Missoni Gianduia

This perfume is very similar to Missoni Missoni for women (2006), without the floral and fruit notes' oversweetness. It is a stripped-down version, which I love. Just think of the base notes within the Missoni Missoni for women's smell. It has moderate sillage and longevity. On clothes, it lasts for days. It has the chocolate, nuts and amber smell without being too sickly or girly. It is a winter perfume for me. I think of a cozy jumper and drinking a hot chocolate near a fire. If you have Missoni for women, you have extra notes compared to this earlier version. So if you have Missoni Missoni for women, you have this perfume covered. Yet, I am happy to have this perfume because I love these base notes and its soft sweetness. There is something different about this perfume, its simplistic bottle, unique, warm and confident, yet a soothing fragrance. This perfume is intimate. I am glad to have this in my collection. It also reminds me of Trussardi Inside (coffee), but this fragrance is very soft. Both fragrances relate to sweet foods and intimate moments. Yet, this Missoni Gianduia perfume is quite strong and really lovely. I received this perfume from eBay for a reasonable price, which was a bonus. This perfume is suitable for both day and night because it lingers beautifully.

Oh this is so delicious! Divine chocolate and beautiful soft amber. Heavenly!!!!It's a gorgeous bottle,and the colour of the perfume is lovely. Very beautiful amber. The chocolate is so strong! It's overwhelming, but totally sublime. Yummy!!!! It's perfectly delicious and the perfect gourmand for me! LOVE!!

I had this in my senior year of high school. A friend gave me an almost full bottle. She didn't like it. Truth be told, no one in my family liked it either. I had to take it with me and only spray it outside the house because my brother detested it and had asked me not to use it at home. I also never received a single compliment on it! Although I myself loved the scent, I could see why everyone else seemed to hate it. There's nothing sweet or "pretty" about it. The initial hit of the cocoa note is super pungent, heavy, extremely dry and bitter, almost vinegary. The dry down, however, is charming: very warm and rich, it retains that initial chocolatey power. It's straightforward but unusual. If this perfume were a place, I'd say it's a dusty antique shop in a dry-climate city (in early autumn). I would love to smell this with just one more note added to round it up a bit but without making it sweet.

This is a true Gourmand!! Italians worldwide have always had a love affair with Gianduia(rich sweet hazelnut chocolate). So it doesn't surprise me at all that they would want to not only eat it but bathe, shower and smell like it. The bottle is very minimalist in design ,only showing a clear amber liquid in its oval flask. As soon as you open the bottle you are overpowered by the scent of chocolate. Close your eyes and you can see yourself walking into an Italian Pasticceria (pastry shop) where there are pyramids of Gianduia chocolate bars and nougats unashamedly displayed on the counters like trophies. The aroma is sweet, hazelnutty and sugary.In the display cases in front of you are an assortement of delectable pastries, oozing creme anglais, dusted like snow with icing sugar and smothered in Gianduia coated chocolate cream.You possible cannot resist and buy at least 1/2 dozen different pastries and to top it all off at least 2 bars of this irresistable sweet. All of this experience is now available in one simple bottle minus all the calories. Dab a little on the wrists but never on the hips......

I bought this because it was on clearance and was REALLY cheap (9 pounds). It is quite unusual, not over powering, very casual. Nothing to go crazy about. Actually I had this Victoria secret body spray I think it was called Chocolate Cravings and as far as I remember Missoni is an exact dupe! This is not sweet milk chocolate with hazelnuts, it is dark chocolate with spices + amber. Do not detect any vanilla here. Worth the original price tag? No. Do I regret buying it on sale? No :) EDIT: After wearing it for a few days I decided it is not for me. It is too...masculine for me. So I gave it to my boyfriend! He loves it! I would say this fragrance is unisex. It smells soft on him yet in no way too feminine.

I love gourmands and Italian perfumes, so had to try Gianduia. Upon first spray, I did get the chocolate but it smelled so familiar, it left me perplexed. I knew this scent very well, it had to be something I had tried in the past. And after half an hour, it came to me: Dolcelisir and Ambre Narguile! Gianduia is soo similar to both plus a yummy chocolate note -that in fact lingers from the top all the way to the base notes-. The chocolate is not very literal, it has a somewhat stale quality, but surprisingly the whole thing retains its charm and I keep sniffing my wrists to enjoy it. I do agree with many of the reviews saying this is a masculine fragrance, or at least totally unisex. Sadly discontinued.

This opens with a clear cocoa/dark chocolate note, that is somewhat balsamic and makes me think of hot italian chocolate with a bit resin. after that the amber, and for me only amber, joins the dark chocolate quite unspectacular, but the joining has just a comforting, not sweet smelling intensity I can't help but like it. It's one of the rare gourmand orientals that don't use spices, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon,.... It's so simple and different and for that it receives 4/5. This is however no young scent, not even playful. As it is comforting and deep it is also non-nonsense - no seduction, no flirt, no specialties - but difference in cocoa-cocoon.

This is by far my favorite chocolate perfume. Yes, it is rather linear and not very complex but the dark chocolate note is sumptuous and the amber dry down its perfect fold. And it has the merit of not being too sweet, in contrast to so many gourmands nowadays. The sillage is moderate but noticeable in the first hour and the longevity is excellent. A must try for anyone tired of chocolate/vanilla cupcake fragrances.

I just got this eau de toilette 75 ml for very little money (15 euro on a Dutch "E-Bay") and I absolutely love it! It reminds me of the bathgel of Yves Rocher, the coffeebean kind. And, not unimportant, I only sprayed twice on the inside of my wrist and it stayed all afternoon, not in an agressive way but a very sophisticated way. I can surely recommed this lovely scent!

I have just bought this unsniffed and have made a huge mistake doing so. This has a bit of a sourness about it that never goes away plus I feel it smells a bit manly. I guess I was expecting something like spicy nutella because of the description of a rich sweet hazelnut chocolate. Oh well I should learn that to one person a perfume is heaven and to another is.....

This is by far my favorite chocolate perfume. It is quite rich but not sickly sweet like so many more recent perfumes. It doesn't change much, quite linear but is delicious, I can't help putting my nose to my wrist when I'm wearing it. Good longevity, moderate sillage.

i really like this! yes slightly manly but who cares if u like gourmand fragrances? as im a sucker for heavy perfumes, this is right up my street!

Oh, I really like this perfume and so does my husband...unfortunately I cant find it anywhere! Has it been discontinued?
