Missoni Eau de Toilette

I was in high school during the y2k era but this scent smells exactly what my ideal sexy girl 90s aquatic freshie would have smelled like, if this scent existed back then. This is such a surprising throwback to high school for me—I love the scent, didn’t love high school though. It’s funny I almost didn’t buy this because I bought the EDP and figured this would be a trimmed down lighter version. I don’t think either scent has anything to do with the other. The EDP smells like a mix of Black Opium and Muglers Alien, with a splash of grape Gatorade, in a good unexpected way. This is more floral, warm tropical with a refreshing aquatic type vibe. I’m not usually into peony, freesia, or other loud screechy florals and considered myself a “white florals only” kind of weirdo but Quentin Bisch somehow makes me fall in love with all these flower notes I’d previously written off. I never thought I’d own a rose perfume, I grew up thinking rose perfume was too sharp and a grandma smell. Now I own several rose scents, including 3 by this perfumer alone. This EDT isn’t a rose scent, though. It’s more about the other florals. Mostly I can detect blood orange, peony, and I think the freesia/heliotrope but I’m not great at identifying those florals, they sometimes smell similar to me since many perfumes use blends of these notes. I don’t get a ton of pear, thankfully, as I’m not sure I’m a huge pear fan (too fruity sweet and strong and reminiscent of body sprays I wore as a tween). It’s nice and toned down to an enjoyable level here. The pepper note stands out, I love spicy pepper notes. Woods and musk are light and minimal. Ultimately I love this. Performance is decent. Price is dirt cheap on sale from liquidators. Scent isn’t exactly unique but it’s got mass appeal. I don’t think Missoni EDT smells like Fleur Narcotic or Valaya (same perfumer) but it does remind me of something in the same genre. Clean fresh florals. A bit of a laundry detergent vibe. Less musk and citrus than the similar scents by this perfumer, more light and flowery. Something I can’t identify in the base is quite addictive and good. Nothing says “niche” or “ultra luxury $$$$$” to me the way ex nihilo and PDM scents do. Yet this still somehow feels much more expensive and better quality than most similar scents under $150 I’ve tried. It doesn’t feel watered down or like the ingredients are cheap at all, though it is a softer scent with light projection. Feels intentionally designed that way. I’d recommend overspraying if you want to really smell this strongly all day. Blind buy success, and like most of Quentin Bisch’s creations, the more I smell it, the more addicted I become! Would recommend for those looking for “office safe” type scents that aren’t loud or boozy, this mostly focuses on being fresh, clean, and soft flowery. Side note: this doesn’t resemble L’Interdit at all to me (EDP is pure obnoxious overly sweet pear and vintage patchouli on me but the flankers are *awesome*) nor does it resemble Idole (rose soap). I’ve never even heard of most of the scents in the “reminds me of” section here but I did see a Moshino Fresh Couture flanker I never tested that was voted as similar. I would say this is more flowery and less musky with softer citrus than the original FC but yes, I’d imagine that might be in the same “genre” at least.

This is a beautiful flowery and fruity fragrance, it is so fresh and clean, yet sweet. The first time I ever tried it, I was unsure about it. I'm not big on floral smell, especially those with roses. However, today is a hot sunny day where I am, so I decided to give it another chance, and I feel so happy. The main notes to me are the water lily and pear. I couldn't tell there's blood orange in it but after reading all the notes I can definitely smell it. I can also smell the peony and rose fairly well. The woody base notes, however, are completely absent to me. The longevity is surprisingly good for an EDT. Although it starts to fade away after 3-4 hours, I could still catch a whiff of it hours after I sprayed it. The sillage is moderate, definitely radiating at arms' length. It's super feminine. If you buy this from Missoni's website, the value is bad, but there's a few places where you can get the 100ml bottle for less than 100 USD, giving it a good value. 8/10. It's such a pleasant fruity and flowery smell, reminiscing me of those perfumes given to young kids, but in the best of ways.

I came back to edit my comment. I wasn't at impressed by this fragrance but I now find myself wanting a bottle of it. I wouldn't pay full price for one but I feel like I could use it as a great scent to layer other scents with. It is a little sweet, a little fruity, and a little powdery but very very predictable but I still want it. This scent is best used in warmer weather. In the cooler months is pretty much disappears unless you spray it on a scarf or something. You need to over-spray this scent if you are looking for a compliment as it sits close to the skin.

An absolute beauty! Highly underrated. It is soft, tender, feminine and elegant floral. It is in a class of its own, doesn’t resemble anything of the boring, girly department store, mainstream fragrances. In a few hours sitting on your skin suddenly awakes and blossoms into a gentle beauty. It doesn’t have a huge projection but I have been stopped several times and asked what I am wearing.

If you’re looking for a dupe for discontinued Zadig and Voltaire Girls Can Say Anything, here it is! 95% similar, cheaper and easier to find. And surprise, both Bisch creations! Edit: The deep dry downs are different. This is a musky cedar and the other is more powdery musk. I think I do like the Zadig’s dry down better. And I will now say that they’re 85% similar.

I love this perfume. It’s sunny and bright, perfect for a sunny day. I mostly pick up the orange, pear, and rose, perhaps the peony as well. And I disagree with others, this scent smells expensive, well blended, and like none of my other fruity florals. I think it is gift worthy to those who enjoy these types of scents.

Perfection. I love orange, freesia, and heliotrope together so this is a big winner for me. I am on the hunt for a dupe of Cacharel's Liberte, and this comes close. It's fresher and juicier, and no patchouli here, but definitely similar. Very happy with this Missoni edt!

I just bought this perfume and really love it. It is very clean smell and you feel like you just had shower with a very expensive soap. Very good choice for work or very hot days.

This is a beautiful bottle with basic juice that reminds me of coach poppy. It's powdery so id say heliotrope is a key note here

The smell is 50% of orange zest, yet it's feminine and clean. It's not the best smell I have smelled but it's still very pleasant. It smells a bit like clean clothes, which is great becuase you don't come off as tryhard. You can smell the roses and florals if you put your attention on it, but for my batch it really comes of as support to the orange zest smell. I would say it's great for casual office wear, or just when you want to smell clean and inoffensive. Projection is very big, so one or two sprays would be enough.

Usually struggle to get much pear from perfumes, but here the pear is beautiful and accords lusciously with the rose water, musk, and white cedar. A touch more soap than I like even though it's a lightly spiced, sugary soap and pretty I wear whatever I like regardless of age, season, or time of day. Still, this is that sliver of springtime-afternoon-turning-into-evening captured in a bottle. A bottle I love having in my eyeline Tommy Girl and Paris had this baby together. On the one hand, this is not something I personally would buy. On the other, in the 'innocuous' genre, it's actually quite nice. Not a dupe for, but to my mind not dissimilar in expression from Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. Though I don't know whether that says more about Missoni, or the current state of Chanel. I think perhaps I would sooner select the Missoni. While by no means realistic, this is one of the smoother 'water lily' attempts, so frequently harsh and grating, and unlike the real thing.

When you first spray it, it seems like a generic, ordinary scent that suits very general tastes. But as it opens, it turns into a soft and pleasant scent. It is a nice perfume for daily use, it will not bother anyone and will smell nice. I liked it much more than I expected. Considering that its longevity is also average, I will use it a lot.

Probably the most complimented perfume I own. It’s not my personal favorite but I love it as a light everyday scent. It has a note that i can’t describe but it smells a bit too much like perfume, I prefer scents that are warmer and melt into my scent more naturally. Either way it turned out to be a crowd pleaser.

This smells better than i expected for a 3 buck mini. Lol. Very easy to wear as an everyday or office perfume. Definitely a daytime wear for spring summer or early fall. A “just got out of the shower” with fancy shampoo vibe which is very nice. Id consider buying a larger version or as a gift for someone.

This perfume is not wow or groundbreaking but its nice and elegant everyday and also evening occasions scent. It starts bright with fruits but after 10 min settles down to be really elegant lady scent. Somehow gives me white florals vibe, even though they arenot in the notes.

Perfect for work. Nice subtle scent, very clean and fresh. Top notes are Water Lily, Blood Orange, Pear and Pink Pepper; middle notes are Peony, Rose Water, Freesia and Heliotrope; base notes are Musk, White Cedar Extract and Woody Notes.

The freesia is centre stage! Followed by the heliotrope. It has this gourmandy, creamy sweetness that’s not overwhelming. Just enough. Performance is weak though. Barely lasts an hour

Nice floral fragrance with really good middle notes. Nothing special though. It's like many other florals. It did not make my heart beat faster.

Turns out I was right to be wary of the heliotrope in this one. All the other notes were signaling go but the the heliotrope gave me pause. I'm very glad I didn't blind buy this. The heliotrope indeed clashes with the fruitiness and creates discordance to my nose. I like powdery scents but I often don't like powdery notes - especially heliotrope- in scents that are predominantly fruity/floral. Ultimately this scent reminded me of the lingering scent of freshly cleaned hotel bathrooms. Not a bad smell by any means but not something I would really enjoy wearing.

floral citrus, but more floral than citrus; like a 75%-25% split to my nose. inoffensive, but to my nose bordering on that line between "okay to wear around lots of people" and "people might start coughing if you are around them". it was kinda funky, but it could have been just that my bottle was old. very inoffensive, not unique; lovely in warmer weather & performs really well for an EDT concentration. it's like a lot of the other perfumes I already have, so I didn't really need to keep this one.

Review is for my own reference - ooooff I do not like this, way too floral, like a daisy or something. I don't get the Fruitiness of the fruity floral. Not my cup of tea. It would be a crowdpleaser for those who like floral. nothing special. It does smell a bit like Miss Boucheron, but more floral if my memory doesn't mistake me. I don't smell the pink pepper notes. Headache inducing! I would NOT buy and would sell/re-gift. The bottle and packaging is gorgeous though. On a positive note, the box colors remind me of a 70's girl, very pretty! Edit: it lasts a long time on the skin and smells much better hours later. But still too much of a floral opening for my liking.

I got this perfume as a birthday present and quickly checked on the Fragrantica website for the notes of this perfume before opening the package: I regret it. Despite all of the listed notes, this feels too fruity with little floral notes. The base notes hardly appeared, much to my disappointment. I find that top fruity notes to be more than just pear or pink pepper, as I find this scent to be too fruity and less of the other notes listed. Its a lovely perfume, don't get me wrong. Perfect for the Summer and perhaps women who enjoy non- over the top fruity fragrances.

Don't, and I repeat, don't, judge a perfume by its bottle. The bottle? Gorgeous. The juice? Scrubber. I'd call it one note, but it's more like one jumbled, confused, overly-fruity note. I didn't know fruit could be so fruity, or that sweet could be so saccharine. I didn't get much of a dry down, didn't experience any sort of development or evolution over time. Just sweet, sweet, sweet. Blech.

I haven't heard about this brand before, so it seemed interesting. I'm afraid, I don't like it very well, something about it is over the top, a little too much. It's woody, white floral, there's very strong synthetic pear note and some tonka bean scent. It's like fruity floral that's unbalanced. Sweet and fruity, but unbalanced somehow, can't describe it better.

I got a sample of this and I do have to say that the bottle is a show stopper. However, the scent has a note that brings down my mood and I think I’ve smelled it as well in other fragrances which I was also not too crazy about. If you like the scent the longevity and projection are decent though.

BAD perfume! i almost passed away when i smelled this looooool it smells like perfumed water and thoug its not strong it gave me a headache because it was so darn disgusting!

A fragrance so casual it actually becomes basic and boring. Smells cheap. If you're looking for a luxurious, original smell, do NOT buy.

Very generic smelling floral. Inoffensive? Yes. Special? No. And it does not resemble the EDP in any way. A casual fragrance....

Perhaps the worst blind buy I’ve ever made. Screechy and, as others have said, headache inducing. This is going straight to a charity shop.

Got this over the weekend and I got it blind without sniffing it. At first I wasn't sure what it was trying to be but I'm kinda liking this. It's reminding me of one that I liked some notes in the scent but it was just missing something. That one is Alabaster by Banana Republic.I loved the Peony note in that one but it was just missing something so I swapped it. Every now I then I crave to smell that one and I did get another semi-replacement for it the Peony & Peppercorn by BR but that one is different. This Missoni has that girly soft wispy peony note but there's something else there that keeps it from being like too pretty or too one note. I feel like this would be a good first date scent. Not too serious, pretty but a little playful and not too strong. Just a pleasant playful kind of cheery scent. The lasting power on this is odd too. I will think it's gone then a few hours later I catch a quick whiff so I am glad I took a chance. The 1.7 was only $20 bucks on clearance too so that made it even better. Edit: I'm unsure why but I am loving this scent and it is completely unexpected. Like I said it was a blind buy but I think it fills my want for a clean peony like rosy scent. BR alabaster was missing something and also L'acquarrosa by Fendi which was similar. This is more what I wanted those to be. The tart notes give it a little something extra and there is a slight powdery note that gives an old school vibe without the scent smelling overly mature or dated. So happy with this.

A slept-on absolute love of mine for many years. This is clean, fresh, aquatic and feminine without being sharp or citrusy (despite blood orange being listed in the notes). I disagree with other reviewers’ opinions that this is ‘screechy’ or even ‘sweet’. It’s really not your typical sweet fragrance. It’s also not glaringly fruity to me. It’s almost like a “your skin but better” type of scent. On my skin, it settles into a beautiful, subtle, freshly showered type of smell. It also has this underlying cozy warmth and slight creaminess. In terms of freshies, this is definitely one of my absolute favorites. It always gets me a compliment and I wear it a lot while working. I’m a makeup artist and it’s a perfect inoffensive fragrance to wear while closely working with clients. It’s not super perfumey and, instead, you just simply smell GOOD wearing it. When it dries down, it smells sort of like a high end lotion on my skin and it lasts all day, which is nice. It’s definitely linear, very comforting and honestly perfect for any occasion if you enjoy this scent profile. When I’m not in the mood for anything heavy, gourmand, fruity or sweet and just want a nice pick me up that makes me feel put together - I choose her.

I haven't had much luck with Missoni fragrances. I tested the now discontinued Missoni (2006) some years ago and didn't enjoy the citrusy-chocolate vibe all too well on my skin. I had hoped that the newest re-release would be more my cup of tea, but I now see that they have made their scents really generic. Whilst the bottle is very eye-catching, the scent itself is a unoriginal fruity floral concoction. It features a dominant note of peony followed by pink pepper, juicy pear and soapy freesia. Missoni Eau de Toilette smells clean and fruity like a regular bottle of shampoo. Don't get me wrong, Missoni EDT is perfectly wearable, but it just doesn't have anything to make it signature worthy. Missoni as a brand does have a somewhat summery vibe, so it's no surprise that Missoni Eau de Toilette is best suited to warm weather wear. At its current price point, I don't think Missoni Eau de Toilette is worth it, however if it were to make its way into the discount stores, (which I suspect it will), it may be worth adding to your collection if you're seeking a peony-centric warm weather scent.

The blood orange is all I can pick up on and it's mouth watering! It smells very expensive and reminds me of a rich lady. It also smells like a beach resort. You can over spray this without consequence. It has the nicest atomiser in my small perfume collection and the bottle is equally nice. The juice inside the beautiful orange and red bottle is equally just as beautiful as the bottle itself. The only downside is that it tends to smell snobby because of how expensive it smells. Smelling like a rich lady has its drawbacks and people might misjudge you. It lasts a good while compared to most edts so you smell good for a long time. It is a summer scent and is very refreshing. Although fruity, it is not too sweet and strikes a wonderful balance between sweet and sour. It's neither too sweet nor too sour. It has that 'fresh out of the shower' vibe and you just smell like it. It's nothing ground breaking nor is it unique yet I must say it smells clean and just nice even if a little generic. I am going to buy a bottle of this for two of my sisters as it would make a lovely gift.

I purchase a perfume every time I travel, mostly from the duty free shops in the airports. This is the perfume I chose this year, after testing many perfumes, even expensive ones. I loved how simple and clean this felt, familiar, elegant and perfect for daily use. It’s a bit too fruity and sharp at first spritz for my taste, but the dry down is soft and comforting, similar to the way Signature by Montblanc makes me feel. I love the freesia, heliotrope and musk notes on my skin. This will be perfect for office wearing and whenever I want to feel put together without disturbing the noses around me.

This is so blah. No, really. I was passing it by in Bloomingdales and sprayed it on my hand. Yes I get pink pepper as there is slight spicyness in initial notes but short time later it transforms itself in fairly bland floral with hint of fruit note(I guess that's the pear). Woodsy floral drydown as described. Nothing offensive, mind you. But this is total yawn city. This is how I felt about Modern Muse by EL. I have no issues with fragrances that smell generic. I own a bunch myself. But this is so unmemorable that you won't even remember what it smelled like the next day.

I really enjoy this fragrance, I get a lot of the sweeter notes initially but then I get the floral notes. It's slightly soapy in a way that I quite like. The woodsy notes add more depth to the fragrance and a more grown-up feel. It's simple and wearable but enjoyable. I got a gift pack for my mum, it has the shower gel, body lotion, the fragrance, and a travel spray and she likes it too. the body lotion is sweet and feminine, perfect for summer but the fragrance works all year round.

I almost bought it today, but now I ́m glad I have waited until the drydown. I can ́t detect particular note, maybe pepper. It attracted me in the first moment on the paper - there was something uncatchable, but nice. But in minute it was gone, on the skin the same experience. Now I may smell just mild musk(after 2hrs), it sits close to the skin. But comparing to the EDP this one is less teenage, better, however still not worth to buy. (If you don ́t need the bottle as a decoration.)

I haven't expected anything major from this frag. But after first spray it reminded me of so long time ago my childhood love Aloha by Oriflame. So similar. I'm not sure which Aloha exactly I owned but definitely they are so near to each other. Sweet but specially sweet, tropical kind of with some tartness. Some fruit but more for the nose not for taste buds. Some aquatics gives freshness. Overall specially nice and beautiful in it's simplicity.

This one has three notes that I fall for: pear, freesia and heliotrope. It has pear in the top and I get it straight from the first sniff. This is why it resembles Lancome Idole and Givenchy's L'Interdit, they all have that pear in the top. And they're categorized as florals but my nose detects some quirky, salty notes, even something gourmand, which is a huge plus for me.

I have the tiny vial sample of this and I can't understand the hate for this, this is not so bad nor is it boring either! In fact I like it! The only way I can describe this scent is one word... CLEAN. Its a summer scent that captures the heat perfectly. I think its the waterlily that makes it so overly floral for some noses, over all i would give this a 3.8 out of a 5.

What a BEAUTIFUL concoction!!!! The rose,freesia and peony to keep it clean. The sweetness of the pear to even all that soapiness and cleanliness out. The heliotrope to add some creaminess. And the sexy pink pepper and cedar that gives it that unisex vibe at the middle/ very end. A combo of a simple and sensual ́feminine aftershave.`

Don't understand the hate or not liking this that much .. I blindly bought the eau de toilette and the eau de parfum. Quite honestly I like both but this one is better. It's fruity with a clean twist to it and it is very innofensive. I will be wearing this for a long time, as it is the best newer fragrance I have found in awhile

I had gotten a sample of this from a swap. I just sprayed it this morning. Omg! Clean floral. This is girlie and just beautiful. I don't understand why so many don't like this. Did they smell what I smell? My boyfriend walked in and said that it smells really good in here. I'll be purchasing a full size bottle of this.

This one's very fruity. Just fruits, no florals as far as I can tell. There is a powdery note which reminds me a little of sweet/sour pixie sticks. Performance is modest, definitely not overwhelming but not as weak as a skin scent. M. trends youthful feminine IMO. I used up a sample of this and won't replace it.
