Nymphea

Mistral Nymphea is a beautiful scent, but much stronger in sillage and longevity than I expected from such a well priced fragrance. It is beautiful water lily flush with the indoles and the waxy creaminess of water lilies, ylang ylang and jasmine. The musk is intensive and heightens this effect. The carnation is quite a big player in this scent as well, adding a beautiful peppery and green note that balances out the indolic sweetness of the other notes. This doesn't smell particularly aquatic to me, but you can tell that one of the main top notes is water lily as opposed to another type of lily. The vanilla is nice, adds a bit of sweetness and smoothness to the scent. You get a bit of berry note with the currant but it is in the background. This reminds me of a much more expensive fragrance but I can't put my finger on it right at the moment. Possibly the Elie Saab EDP. The style of the fragrance with the indolic flowers and vanilla also reminds me of some of the By Killian floral indolic scents. Yes, it's that good. Highly recommended for anyone who loves water lily, ylang and creamy indolic florals. And it's the best carnation note I have smelled anywhere aside from Caron's Bellodgia. Definitely worth a try!
