River: Snowy River

fresh, cold river water flowing in warm summer day. i found this scent starts with fresh minty aquatic & a biiitttt of spicy pepper with a touch of geranium. there's slight roundness from the musk and sweet warmth from ginger. simply fresh and comfortable to wear.

Agreed with @Tee. I smell geranium, ginger, mint, some pink pepper, and a hint of tea in MITH's River. It's not bad, and certainly not as atrocious as Cherry Blossom from the same collection, but it does also smell like a hospital ward as it leans more chemical than natural. And for that reason, I think it's overpriced for what it is. Sillage is non-existent, and the scent itself is rather intimate (which is not always a bad thing especially if it makes you smell like a hospital ward.) Not my cup of tea, though I don't hate it. The first two seconds of the opening is rather nice, but after that it smells chemical. On the clothes, it's not as bad, but it doesn't last at all (gone within 20 minutes); on my skin, it lasts longer, but smells unnatural. One puff on the wrist is enough to cause me headaches, despite the lightness of the scent. That's how chemical it is. Somehow I feel this and Cherry Blossom smell like unfinished products. It's like the perfumer had to rush to meet the deadline and she was only halfway but had to release them 'as is.' Or perhaps it's the economical ingredients used on these two. Woods doesn't seem to have this issue, but the issue with that one is that it doesn't smell like wood at all, only citrus and frankincense in the far dry down. Try before you purchase. I'm glad I did.
