Ruby Bouquet

This is rather nice. It took me a while to figure out where I've smelt this before - and it dawned on me: Lacoste L.12.12 pour Elle Sparkling! MITH's Ruby Bouquet turns out to be 95% similar to Lacoste pour Elle Sparkling in the dry down - with the exception of the mild pink pepper that comes with Lacoste. The opening is a little different, though, with the puff pastry note being highly noticeable from the start. It's both sweet (like a dough) and salty (like salted butter); this resulted in the creaminess texture in the opening, which, surprisingly, I enjoy. In addition to that, I smell vanilla, musk, jasmine, amber, and apple. They are well put together that the blend doesn't smell off. I didn't get any other notes from the pyramid (thankfully, since they'll likely disrupt the unity of the scent.) Think of a bakery shop that is baking apple pie or apple croissant - this is somewhat that scent. I'm normally not a gourmand scent person, but I like this one, in the same sense that I like Lacoste pour Elle Sparkling. Nicely done. One of the few scents by MITH that I actually quite like.

Although there is a puff pastry note listed - I am not getting that exactly. This is coming across like a warm musky (white musk - nothing heavy or metallic) fruity vanilla. I mostly get the apple, but the fruits in general are softened by the musk & vanilla. This is a very likeable fragrance. Nothing sticks out as weird. No butter at all from the "puff pastry" either. It's nice. I'm not going ga-ga over it, but I could easily wear this for just about any event, any time of year. The patchouli isn't felt, maybe just adding some warmth with the amber note.

Very light close to skin apple pie sans cinnamon. Quite easy to wear if you’re into gourmand perfumes. As I used only two sprays, adding sprays might increase projection, silage, and longevity. I got over twenty four hours on clothing.
