Thai Tea

I just tested Thai Tea by Mith (Thai Edition- not One Fine Day), and I really like it...possibly even love it. It’s very light. At first I get the citrus, but then I get the Thai tea spices like cardamom mixed with a a dry creaminess that transitions into a very airy/ dusty sandalwood with wisps of cardamom and perhaps very mild anise. The spices with the wood remind me of real palo santo wood ( before you burn it as incense) in the best way. This is not pungent at all. It’s not cloying or headache inducing- and that’s saying a lot since many fragrances give me a headache. I find this such a comforting scent. Something almost meditative. The more I sniff it on my arm, the more I feel this might become a new fav. It’s the woody scent I’ve been looking for but hadn’t found. It’s like the newborn baby of Scent of Wood Sandalwood in Oak.

Thai Tea by MITH Love at first sniff – incredibly wearable. On my skin, Thai Tea opens with a beautiful orange-and-spice combination, softened by a hint of sweetness. The fragrance feels smooth and comforting, never cloying, making it easy to wear and enjoy. There's a soft, powdery character that gives it cozy elegance. The citrus brightness keeps everything fresh and lively, while the gentle sweetness adds warmth without becoming heavy. Overall, Thai Tea feels like pure comfort in a bottle – fresh, smooth, and inviting. It’s one of those fragrances that manages to be both uplifting and cozy, making it a pleasure to wear.

the scent of this is probably one of my favourites ever. i don’t get too much citrus from this, to me this smells like a cleaner, greener version of chai. i just want to bury my nose in this 24/7. i definitely get the cardamom in the opening as well as a little bergamot and very strong, perfectly smooth tea notes. it then quickly loses all citrusy notes and settles into a sophisticated tea and sandalwood with a delicious hint of sweetness. unfortunately it doesn’t last very long on my skin and i find myself reapplying quite often. other than that 10/10 and i pray they come out with a intense version of this.

I don't feel I can review this one objectively, because something about it absolutely dropkicks me back to my freshman year of college. Maybe it's the combination of black tea and vanilla with citrus that smells like a girl's dorm hall with all the doors flung open, caffeinated beverages and Victoria's Secret body spray mixed with citrusy tile cleaner-infused steam from a communal bathroom shower stall. It's warm in a slightly off-kilter way that I find uniquely comforting. Maybe it just reminds me how happy I am to not be 19 anymore.

The tea and bergamot notes are very similar to Wulong Cha with it being a citrusy tea note. But you also get a distinctive spice note from the cardamom and a faint amount of star anise. Luckily, the star anise doesn't take it in a licorice direction. I'm a tad bit disappointed there's no milky note, but it's very nice as it is. It's Wulong Cha turned into more of a fall scent, which is nice. It's really addictive and cozy. Everything I've tried from Mith has been a winner so far.
