Woody Musk

I've had this for 5 or 6 months now. It's my second from MITH. Like the first, Woody Musk was also a blind buy. And you're not going to believe this, but it's very woody. Clean, green, dry woods. While the quality is fantastic there was something about it that I didn't like when I first smelled it. Because of its subtly I initially perceived it as more feminine than what I'm usually drawn to. For instance, Polo (Green) is a top favorite of mine. This is far from that world. I seriously thought about selling this. But it's so different from all my other fragrances and not so feminine that couldn't work with it. Considerably unpopular and the fact it's being discontinued were factors in me decide to keep it. Do some experimenting. Get to know and understand it the scent. So far I've found that it layers pretty well with a few of my other fragrances. Adding just a little interest to things. This in turn has increased my appreciation for it as a stand alone scent as well. Its not a love but I'm liking it a lot more.. It's clean woods with good staying power. Say 6 to 7+ hours unlayered from 2 to 3 sprays. When layered with other scents this clearly comes through with just 1 spray added to whatever you pair it with. Not bad at all. I like it. As of this post, you can still find it. Give it a try. Made by Quentin Bisch the perfumer of the celebrated Ganymede and Bois Impérial. This may be a gold mine or it may confirm to you why it's being discontinued. I'd love to here others perspective on it. Update: After spending more time with it I'm realizing that it's not as feminine as I originally thought. It really is a neutral clean woods smell. There is a subtly here but it projects nicely. You and others will smell it for at least 5 maybe 6hrs depending on how much you put on. Overall lasting for 7hrs+. This can almost come off as not wearing a perfume. But it rather makes you smell clean. Not in a soapy way more as if everything you are wearing is new. I'm really liking this:)

Just got this sample and it smells great. Reminds me of another 13 by le labo in the opening with a slight green touch, but just a clean pleasant musk, unisex down the middle. The woods come out more in the dry down, which is a nice touch.
