Cloud Musk

Soft, delicate, well blended fragrance. Spraying it on is like getting a hug from a best friend who is the kindest, most pure and beautiful soul you’ve ever met. Total love, peace and trust. Clean cotton with hints of cypress, cardamom, and powdery white florals, with the underlying sweetness of Tonka bean. Its clothing dried outside in the fresh air, in a clearing in the forest, next to a meadow. I’ve read reviews here that say Cloud Musk pulls masculine or peppery and my experience is exactly the opposite. This is one of the most feminine fragrances I’ve ever used. I also don’t think it smells like Glossier You, which I’ve used and don’t like. This scent is so unbelievably calming and actually helps me fall asleep if used after an evening shower. It reminds me of being out in nature, of hand-feeding ducklings on a camping trip, of admiring a butterfly and having it land on my finger, and watching fireflies in the back yard after the sun sets. I have the hair & body mist but am strongly considering the EDP. It’s hard to say how long this lasts on my skin because it blends into me almost immediately. I can’t smell perfume on myself, it’s more like I become a really nice-smelling person. If I spray it on my hair, the fragrance stays til next time I take a shower. Projection is intimate. It feels like a hug, and it will make your hugs smell really nice without filling the room or leaving a scent trail.

I am so happy there is a fragrance comparison on this site because as usual, the people were correct! Funny story, I had been wanted to get my nose on Kaleidoscope and You since they have been compared to Lovely Dreamer which is my new obsession. I am not going to get into detail, but literally out of the blue, I come upon an unused body lotion of kaleidoscope, the exact scent I have been wondering about for a long while now. I instantly fall in love with it and cant get enough of it, I see people say cloud is a dupe of it. The target I go to are always out of stock of this scent, all the time, but what do you know, they have one edp left and I snatch it up with the quickness. All in all I will say, I am glad I listened, it smells just like kaleidoscope and I couldn't be happier! Since its still cold out I will try to wait until spring at least to use it fully. light, airy, fluffy, sweet, feminine, beautiful!!!! Side note: though similar, lovely dreamer and kaleidoscope are not the same, they may be sisters or cousins, but not twins.

WOW! as a gourmand lover, i’ve been trying to branch out into some more musky/clean scents to wear for the spring and summer. a lot of my regular scents since i’ve started collecting are geared towards the colder seasons. i was between glossier you & cosmic by kylie jenner for weeeeeks. cosmic was too woody on the dry down, and glossier too sharp. i didn’t want to settle when i had small issues with both!!! then... today i got to smell cloud musk, and it is BEAUTIFUL! it’s a true dupe for glossier you in my opinion, they smell close to identical, this is less loud than ‘you.’ this doesn’t have the longevity that ‘you’ has, but for the price point, its almost unbeatable. this is such a beautiful “your skin but better” scent. this isn’t as screechy as glossier either, the pink pepper note definitely stands out more in the original scent, so i prefer cloud musk honestly. this is a beautiful, year-round scent that makes me feel so fresh and clean when it’s on my skin! i totally recommend to try this if you can get your hands on it!

This smells amazing. This is truly musky and unisex as it gives me clean & warm cotton/wool powder in a wooden cabin vibe. This smells almost identical to glossier you. However, at this time and moment I like Cloud Musk more. Glossier You is a hint more floral and the wood is more of pencil shavings. Cloud musk is cleaner, a hint more powdery/linen smelling, with wood that reminds me of a cabin (in a good way). It isn’t floral or has that hint of sweetness like You has. I love layering this with other fragrances to give it that neutral woody warm musk vibe. Great for everyday and I can see this working in a lot of different weather. I layered this with Clean Reserve Skin and my partner went nuts for it. Even though he didn't enjoy Cloud Musk on its own. They also said the scent makes them picture an old sea side cabin while watching the waves with a blanket over them. Silage is okay but longevity is terrible. It doesn’t last more than 1 - 2 hrs. But it’s on the cheaper side and I love the scent so I don’t mind reapplying.

I LOVE Cloud Musk. I blind bought this about a year ago and wear it literally every day. The opening is a tad sharp and peppery, but after a few minutes it settles down into a lovely, warm, airy, scent that is noticeable but inoffensive. It feels like a I have a subtle soft cloud around me. Its very balanced- sweet without being cloying, spicy without being too sharp, warm without feeling heavy, and the vanilla, musk, and tonka bean are just present enough to give it that sort of marshmallow effect without overpowering the other notes. I like layering it with Nemats Vanilla Musk when I'm craving a little extra sweetness . Its feminine leaning, and ageless. I could imagine myself wearing this at any age, any place, all year round. I only wish I could find a stronger version of it because it doesn’t last very long, but is still absolutely worth it for the price. Its affordable, but doesn’t smell cheap or chemical-y at all. 8.5/10.

Cozy, creamy, dreamy, warm. As a great lover of Glossier You and Not A Perfume, I do not get the comparisons, even though I also love this one. Yes, the skin musk is there, but it is deepened and elevated by the beautiful cardamom and cypress, and the comforting swaddle of the cotton and peony accords and given just the barest hint of natural, never sugary or cloying, sweetness. It is feminine and beautiful, but not girlish. It does smell “like a perfume”, but that is not to its detriment. It is so, so lovely. I’m not a huge fan of the mix bar line personally, but this is such a special find, I’ve repurchased twice. I personally prefer the hair and body spray, not the EDP, because I find that it lasts as long as most typical fragrances in my collection for less $$. Such a gorgeous scent. Recommended for: Office Sirens, The Tortured Poets Department, and Rory Gilmore.

The scent is very appropriately named. It is a soft, fluffy musk. It has that papery, iris, quality, which I love. This is not a sharp, screechy, musk. It is one of those comforting musks that smell so good on freshly showered skin. I've been reaching for it every night before bed. It's not complex but it is super appealing. Not a sweet scent-- just sweet enough to not smell too stark & clean. Extremely affordable so I don't have to worry about being conservative. I spray it liberally but not to the point where I feel saturated and it lasts me 6+ hours. I mostly get the iris, cotton, and tonka bean. It works well with so many other scents. Love it! I'd say it's most similar to musk 12 by kayali, minus the lotus, a little saltier and not as potent. I also love that scent and I feel like if you like that, you'd like this.

There's something addictive about this perfume. It's nothing fancy or unique, but it's so, so, so gorgeous. It's the most feminine, soft "clean" scent I've smelled in my life. So lovely and simple without being boring or flat. Yes, you can easily layer this, but it's perfect on its own. Performance is decent for what it is, I can smell it on myself as I walk around the mall. 4 - 6 sprays should be adequate without being overpowering or bothersome to those around you, whilst leaving a gentle trail of scent around you. It lasts for 2 hours on my skin which is better than loads of designer and niche fragrances I've tested if I'm being honest. After about 30 minutes it turns into the scent of a clean, fresh, ocean breeze - not salty seaweed, so don't worry about that. Just gorgeous, refreshing, slightly sweet ocean air.

I am so enamored of this scent. this is lovely to wear out of the shower and into bed. It’s clean, effervescent, and just a touch sweet. It prolongs and enhances that fresh, warm, sweet, relaxed, freshly showered feeling. I wish it lasted a little longer, but maybe that just adds to the allure and addiction of seeking out this scent. It’s quite bright and spicy on first spray, I get a lot of the alcohol, but the dry down goes very warm, tender, slightly sweet, natural clean body musk. I don’t really like musks. I like the idea of them, but most musks to be smell too intensely white and floral and like a cover up for poor hygiene. This smells like a natural, warm, clean body. It makes my head tingle. I know target with discontinue it at some point soon, so I’m planning to stock up while it’s still on the shelves.

CM is just the perfect every day sort of fragrance, I'd wear it to work. In fact, when I return to the workforce (currently I'm a SAHM) I likely will. It's inoffensive, but compelling nonetheless. I find this much more interesting actually than I expected. It doesn't smell like Glossier You, or JHAG Not A Perfume (I can barely smell NAP anyway). It's more akin to body-washy florals alongside a fuzzy sweet musk. I do actually smell the alleged pink pepper as well, there's something warm about it. Musks are notoriously difficult to describe. But I'm grateful to be able to detect this for the entire wear length (I adore Kuumba Made's Persian Garden, but become anosmic to it after a while). I know people hate the remark - "It smells more expensive than it is!"; but this truly does. It's a winner to me.

This is what the greek god/godess of comfort would smell like if he/she existed. Warm like a hug from a genuine friend. I say genuine because I feel like some fragrances feel like a hug but in a synthetic way like being hugged by someone just because it is required in a social situation, ex: Philosophy Warm Cashmere. This fragrance feels sincere. It's like your best friend lending you his/her scarf and it still smells like them comforting you to the worlds end. I wear this on days I feel lonely and it makes me feel comforted and coddled. The hint of peppery notes keeps it from becoming too powdery or too cozy, there is still a sense of understated elegance hear. A true gem for it's price too!!

I feel like I hit the goldmine with this perfume. When I was a teenager, my mom bought Escada Magnetism for my older brother. I was obsessed with this scent. I would sneak into his room just to sniff it. I thought about that scent often and I don’t believe they make it anymore so any bottle you find, is outrageously expensive. I was sniffing the perfume testers at Target and when I smelled Cloud Musk, I froze. It smells nearly identical to the Escada. I immediately bought it and I love it. It truly is unisex. The sillage is decent and I find the longevity (about 4 hours) good enough for me. It’s a warm and woodsy, clean musk. I’m tempted to buy all the bottles I can find and horde them 😂

I gave this a try because I am in love with Glossier You and there have been theories of a formula change. Cloud Musk imo is definitely a dupe for You. I pair it with the Flamingo Lotion for a stronger projection. The musk is soft and it doesn’t cause fragrance migraine or irritation. I would not recommend it for the summer if you sweat a lot and develop a smell. These scents sort of enhance your natural scent and that combination doesn’t sound too pleasing. However it’s a wonderful everyday scent and it does last long if you layer with the lotion. It’s also good and safe for layering with other perfumes. The price is unbeatable vs $60 glossier you.

I'm not usually a musk person, but I'm trying to branch out from my fragrance "comfort zone". That said, I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on my first foray, so I sampled a few of the musk options available at Target and this was the winner for me. I don't like the "laundry" type of musks, but I REALLY like the cardamom note in this. I think it warms it up enough to fit my palate. It is subtle, but isn't that the point of this kind of fragrance? I think this will be great for me for summer, since most of my usual scents (e. g., ELDO Rien, Aromatics Elixir, MdO Oudh Osmanthus) become pretty overpowering in hot weather.

now THIS is a banger. genuinely wearable all year round at any time of day. i never get tired of applying this. only downside is it doesn't last very long. has a slight resemblance to glossier you, but glossier you is more skin-like and this is like a fluffy sweet cloud, but not overwhelmingly sweet. i LOVE the cypress and cardamom note, it gives a fresh and slight pepper quality, but make no mistake this is not a spicy scent. this is a woody aromatic done right. target has mixbar that you can test, i got my bottle of cloud musk for about 20 bucks. if there's a sale i'm gonna re-up this one.

I didn’t even think I liked the “your skin but better” genre of fragrance much before I tried Cloud Musk- I like this one so much more than Glossier You or Not A Perfume and find it stronger and more noticeable than those two. It’s gorgeous- soft, clean, and comforting on the skin. I get a warm, slightly spicy (cardamom?), clean musk smell with some light sweetness from the tonka bean in the dry down. It sits very close to the skin, but if I spray it before bed I can still smell it on the backs of my hands the next morning. Best of all, it's super inexpensive, but doesn't smell cheap at all.

I love Mix:Bar's offering so far. This is the most versatile and pleasant of the collection I think, very similar to Ariana Grande's Cloud, though a bit more tonka and woodsiness to render it more serious and unisex, and a bit more mature. Even still, it's a fun, playful fragrance, like clean puffs of cotton, fresh flower petals, and sweet vanilla air. It mixes great and is soft and charming and effervescent all on its own. I feel sexy and carefree in this fragrance; its great for summer but honestly has enough warmth and seductiveness to belong in the fall, winter, and nighttime too.

I love this & I can’t believe it’s less than twenty bucks at target! It smells sophisticated and, like the name implies, musky. It’s a very clean musk. This is very specific, but if you’ve seen the show Sleep No More in NYC (an immersive theatre performance), this scent smells exactly like the performance... can’t put my finger on what it is, but it totally brought me back! Super mysterious, clean, intriguing, almost pheromone-ish scent. Highly recommend! Reminds me a bit of the Skin scent from Clean. They’re different, but something about them is similar (prob the musk).

i got this in a double rollerball set for ridiculously cheap and i am blown away!! fresh linen with a hint of soap that slowly melts into the skin to a subtly sweet floral musk. that point in the middle of the drydown where the two collide is absolutely heavenly. it's feminine but it doesn't scream "girly", it's the perfect year round signature work scent. calming and refreshing, exactly what i need to feel put together. not to be dramatic but i genuinely think spraying a bit of this on my resume elle woods style might raise my chances of landing a job.

I love this so much! I think it is perfect for layering, as marketed. It reminds me of Good Girl, Alien, and Angel EDT all at the same time! Sampled a few times at the store, and got it when they had it in stock finally. I plan to layer this with Quatre Absolu Nuit, hoping it smells as divine as I imagine! For a cheapie you can not go wrong with this, and I love the bottle. Obviously a bit cheap with the plastic cap, but I love the pink frosted bottle and rose gold styling! Looks very chic with my collection.
